It amazes me how meaningful the song comes through him on acoustic solo as well as when playing electric and backed by a band. So many of his are that way and that's what I love about this guy. Wherever he and John Lee Hooker end(ed) up in the afterlife, that's the cool place to be.

i'm going to be at his show this coming may (the 11th), and i'm honestly just tearing up watching this right now... as a young singer-songwriter and northern ontarian, this man his brought out so much faith, hope, and inspiration in me. i know i'll be there one day... i could care less about the fame or money, if i could just inspire people and make them move, i know this is for me. I was at this show. Incredible. We got moved from obstructed seats up top to floor seats dead centre. I was in absolute awe. Neil has also lined up another 2 shows at Massey this May. Tickets go on sale Friday. I will be front and centre!

I just got his "Archives 1" today, and I don't even have a blue ray player to view it with -- that's how much this guy means to me.

He recently lost his good friend and steel guitar player Ben Keith, and he sings about it on his new CD in "Walk with Me". I agree it's a "must have".
