In the situation you were in with so much bait at the boat, why not toss a Hawaiian throw net over the side and load the baitwell in one minute? Sure beats manhandling those delicate baits unhooking them and ending up with some dead bait in the mix. Not to mention the lost fishing time.
1. Use a dehooker and your live well won't be filled with dead baits
2. Use more than one livewell if possible, I saw loaded your one well was and half of your baits were dead. Overload a well and there isn't enough O2 in the water for your baits to breathe.
3. You can dehook your own baits without a mate if you put the sinker in a rod holder and keep the rig taught while you dehook with a proper dehooking device.
Sabiki rigs aren't a problem like he says with tangles...I use mine around 10 fishing trips per sabi once u get the techniques to untangle it's a simp
have you ever caught a full string (9) of baits? Just curious as to whether it is better to wait until the rig is full or unload and try again? Also what depth are you letting it down too? And also there are alot of no wake zone where i live and i was curious if you can troll with them?
@topherhoffmanchris I have i use sabiki rigs everything i go out fishing. There really fun to use the jacks love them. Some times when u ahve a full rig they pull pritty hard it's fun to catch bait with this once you try it you will look forward to it everything u go fishing.
@topherhoffmanchris It all depends on what bait fish ur catching for greenes i would recomend the smallest 6'' for jack maby 8-14 remenber if you want greenies use the smallest because when they bite the big hooks the aways seem to go trow there head and instantly kill them.
One of my reels is Jarvis Walker hehe ,the other one is Penn
