I don't think the Moors were black per say, they had sub saharan African admixture in them but they were mostly north african and had more of a beige/brown skin tone.
I heard or read somewhere that Moors were Black. They spoke Arabic so people thought there were Muslim or had Muslim mixed with African. Don't know how true that info was. I think ethnically Italians are more white but it depends on the region of the country. Sicilians are much more mixed. Those in the North are much less. A good deal of ethnicities are mixed. Being white isn't just skin tone, it's your culture and geography (Europe). My skin tone is fair but i'm considered brown cuz my culturally and history is non european. Hope that helps.
