  • Awesome vid mate, I love high speed Canyon runs. Makes me wanna get back in the cockpit and fly again! [virtually] :D Cheers

  • Glad to report that XPLane9 works very well from my 250G external hard drive with a simple USB cord. Great stuff, but looks like using a Joystick is a must.

  • awesome

  • I just got NVIDIA 9600gt and get 30-60 fps with X-plane 9 almost MAXED out graphic-wise. X-plane 9 flies WAY better than FS9 or FSX AND weather is SO MUCH more real.

  • I have both FSX and XP9 and the weather is way better in X Plane 9...

But some things are better in FSX, all thou I find it easier to fly in XP9 and use it more often but wish they had more planes and wide screen cockpits.

  • what plane is this Sport?

  • sick

  • Hi. I want to buy X plane 9 because looks like a much better game than FSX. I already got FSX because it was easily available (i live in NZ and only able to gt X plane 9 by ordering) but FSX is too laggy and not fun. Do u know if x plane 9 is just as system demanding as FSX? cheers:)

  • XP9 is far less demanding than FSX. I run a Dell Dimension 2400 1GB RAM 2.20GHz Pentium 4 processor, ATI Radeon 9250 256MB RAM. I run XP9 on high and I get 20-30FPS over populated zones and 30-40FPS over sparsely populated areas. In FSX I was lucky to get 15FPS on low settings over open country.

  • Me too; I was averaging 14fps on low settings. That does it then, I'm getting XP9. Thanks!

  • I just bought my XP9 for my Macbook, but I don't have enough hard disk space (only 36 G remaining). So can I install XP 9 into an external hard disk with 2.0 USB and play it from there instead of clearing out space in my internal disk?

  • Yeah you can. That's what I did on my old PC wich only had 15GB free left so I installed it on a 250GB Maxor externeral.

  • Thank you Decimator. That's a relief. For a while there I thought here's an impulse purchase that's down the drain. The videos here are awesome.

  • yes, thats what i do

  • how much space does xplane need?

  • no worries,

you will need less system recources than for fsx.

  • @mungbean34

Sorry mate, Xplane is somewhat more demanding than FSX, if your machine can't run FSX odds are I can't run Xplane for shit (pardon the expression) Xplane is somewhat more realistic and less a game than FSX is seeing as it has no missions just situations. Sorry ro be a bearer of bad news.

    Cheers

  • no sound?

  • Ermmmm is it normal for that control joystick to not be moving when you control the plane?

    Animations anyone?

  • well in this plane it is. - unfortunately - it is one of the very early planes to have a 3D cockpit. the flightdynamics are great and i love the handling of it. but If you go and check out my "Reno Madness" vid you can see a more modern cockpit with animated controls...

  • good vid but how do get the the your monitor to stay in vertical sync, cuz mine cannot even thru display setup

  • Hi,

well, I have never even considred this, I am using an NVidia Card with stock settings - btw - I strongly recommend NVidia with X-Plane. My Hardware config is posted bellow. If this doesnt, give you the required info, dont hesitate to ask again...

  • Hey guyes. Do i need some kind of joystick for this game or can i just use my keyboard?

  • You can use a keyboard and a mouse, but I don't recommend it. It's really awkward. Get a good joystick: most don't cost more than $50.

  • Wow, you can fly that thing no problem!

No biggie, give me about 2 more years to learn how to do that! :(

  • Isnt that plane you are using the Freecce Tricolour or something like that? I love it. I'm just guessing by the cockpit

  • Yep, thats it, and I agree it is a GREAT piece of work!

  • hey was x9.0 worth the money? when compared with fsx?

  • Ohh Yes, You cant really compare the sims either, the flightmodel from X-Plane is much more accurate, and you can fly into space (shuttle reentry for instance) or even on Mars if you want to. So YES go for it!!! its great fun. A bit more difficult to fly then FSX but it also prepares you more for real world flying...have fun

  • Hello, wich is your harware configuration? CPU, Video Card, Ram...You run this game really with great fps! Hope you have fun ! :)

  • Hi, ehmm nothing tooo fancy really, here we go: Computer: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.61 GHz, 3,00 GB RAM OS: WIN XP-HOME Vers 2002, Service Pack 2 Grafics-card: Nvidia 7950 GT Software: X-PLane (with Global Scenery) Vers. 9.19 Mandatory Plugins: Pilot View by Sandy Barbour Flightcontrollers: Saitek X52 + Proflight Rudderpedals Additional Hardware: TRackIR 4 Pro
  • thanks, i ll post more then. :)

  • Well done! Just subscribed to your channel as well. Impressive flying.
