  • When in Austin, TX, go see OUCH! the tribute to The Rutles. We play in town at least once a month these days. This Fab Four version is good, but we might be better!

  • I can't believe this. The video's so low-quality, the sound gets oddly quiet at times, the camera keeps moving around...and yet, I get this sort of warm fuzziness inside while watching...

This is just splendid. Any chance they could come to Scandinavia, y'think...?

  • It's not unlike imitation margarine..Very nice.

  • leggy mountbatten would be so proud of "his boys"

  • This is Beatles tribute band "The Fab Four" doing a Broadway show called Rutlemania. They were picked by Neil to play the Rutles for this short run show.

  • This is a good example of great comedy. The songs were very much in the Beatles style and all, that is what made it funny.

  • its the fab four the tribute band!

  • The Rutles filled the musical voids that The Beatles were too preoccupied to notice.

  • Penny Lane :-)))))))

  • A cover band of a band that parodies an actual band?

    My mind has blown!

(Great version of this song - was always my favorite Rutles song!)

  • lmao yeah those beatle always stealing ideas from the rutles! love this song

  • Just like how the Beatles stole Get Back from the far superior Rutles Get Up and Go!!

Someone should sue those fab four guys.

  • The sad fact of the story is that poor Neil Innes had to give his royalties to the holders of the Beatles publishing rights-(which were half-owned by M.J. at the time, I believe.) Neil certainly couldn't afford the kind of lawyers that Sony has, so he got screwed!

  • His friend George Harrison warned him that might happen.

  • This Rutle song is obviously a parody of Penny Lane.

  • Wrong, Penny Lane is a blatant rip off of Double Back Alley.

  • Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure.

  • Precisely!

  • Saw the show Thursday night, March 20. Awesome! We also cheered Ron Nasty's keyboard solo, and he seemed appreciative. Got to meet Eric Idle and get his autograph. Hoped to see Innes too, but no go.

  • this is the rutles tribute band,so how'dya get ron nasty's autograph

  • I should have said: The Artist Formerly Pretending To Be Ron Nasty. And the autograph was from Idle, the creator and producer of the show.

  • so it was the rutles then?

  • I was at the first show. It was a lot of fun. Great effort by Eric Idle, Neil Innes, and The Fab Four.

  • i was there!!!!

  • I didn't know that a music video could be this out of focus with bad, muddied sound and still be so good.

  • That's cause the Rutles are the best band that never was!
