I understand what treark did with the quickscopeing thing but i dont think they should have. I dont think that cod maps are big enough not to quickscope. If the maps were bigger i would understand bc u wouldnt have to. But since the maps are so tiny it makes the sniper almost unuseable. They should have resolved the problem with bigger maps and not fucking up the zoom in.
Though its pretty hard i love to snipe! Its pretty challenging but when u get to use it its a very strong weapon (: , also a good secondary like python or double pistols are good to help. The WA2000/L96A1 are the best due to constant shooting and power!
The wii version may suck a bit but its rlly challeing for aiming speccially sniping S:

But like today when i was playing on Convoy i hit someone in the chest and they didn't die but a second later i got a 7 kill streak and i only use seven bullets and only got four head shot and the othe three were in the chest??? HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM???

I completely agree with you about sniping. I'm a hugh fan of sniping and I have never had any problems with it. However, I do agree that there are not very many good places to snipe. Array and Jungle are fine, but besides them there are not very many good maps to snipe at.
well people are more attuned to mw2 sniping, people who were mw2 snipers most likely are not black op snipers. on my 5 days on the psn network sniping, with over 5000 kills and little over a 50 percent accuracy. with the L96 alone. now you are not the worse sniper i have seen. but im glad that quick scoping is out. im glad no one is 360 no scoping. when adapting and changing to the enviorment of black ops, it takes skill and not random luck to get the kill. treyarch did a wonderful thing for cod

@chaserwarz does sleight of hand help for sniping? i feel like whether i use scout or sleight of hand it didnt really change how fast i zoomed in but of course the variables of how long i could scope in or how fast i reloaded changed

Sniping takes skill. Quick scoping is not skill. To be a sniper in Black Ops you have to use your brain. You have to be smart. You have to use skill and understand the dynamics of the sniper gun you're using. This isn't no luck free scoping game. If you want to be a leet sniper in Black Ops, you have to earn that medal.
@shuttakid And, once again, it's a videogame. Which means that it's impossible to make it 100% realistic. Also, hiding in a bush in the back of the map doesn't take skill. You have to be good to Qscope. Although, some people may be exadurating a bit, not every kill has to be a QScope!

i play video games for fun and i really think quickscoping is FUN. Im not that good and i really think that it is not overpowered and it makes the game more FUN and challenging. I cant beleive people think its overpowered. A videogame will never come close to real life and i dont think it should be super realistic. I like ALL the cod games as is

lse because that gun is way too good. It's 3 bullet kill at mid range and a 4 bullet kill from far away. JUST LIKE AN ASSAULT RIFLE exept with faster movement, and a faster fire rate. I believe that quickscoping should be a tool and not a playstyle. In MW2 there were a lot of people who QS instead of using the sniper for what it really is...a LONG range weapon. I just believe that 3arc should have made it easier to snipe through maps such as wasteland because there is no one map that is "sniper friendly."
What treyarc ( no clue if that's right) was trying to do was to make a sniper do what it was meant to do. A sniper was meant to shoot from a long distance, not from 2 feet away (which is what quickscoping did). All they tried to do was make it a balanced weapon. Although I do think the hit detection is way off for ps3. I think they patched it for xbox though.
@TheGolfComedyChannel i agree i think the sniper is better on black ops for that reason if i wanted mindless jumping up and down shooting with unreal guns then i would play halo. call of duty has always tried to be a realistic shooter if you want a game that isnt then the awnser is simple play somthing else!!!!

I have and use the snipers in Black Ops, and I honestly do feel that snipers have been slightly "nerfed". I know that quickscoping is completely unrealistic and isn't intended for that use, but some people have to realize that it is a game, a big part of the community does like quickscoping, and that their are certainly more important things Treyarch should be focused on. (Spawn system, sounds, connection/matchmaking)
black ops sniping is kinda unpredictable... sometimes i get hit markers, sometimes i get one hit kills, and sometimes... i get nothing.. and when i watch it in theatre mode, its right on the guy but it missess.. =/

I really don't know what all the fuss is about in Black Ops about sniping. I think it's perfectly balanced except for that they should make the snipers a little bit stronger. Treyarch should of had a gamemode just for Quickscoping. Like unless you have a sniper as a primary you cant use that class, that gamemode is only for quickscopers only not automatics.

Sniping takes skill. Quick scoping is not skill. To be a sniper in Black Ops you have to use your brain. You have to be smart. You have to use skill and understand the dynamics of the sniper gun you're using. This isn't no luck free scoping game. If you want to be a leet sniper in Black Ops, you have to earn that medal.

@shuttakid And, once again, it's a videogame. Which means that it's impossible to make it 100% realistic. Also, hiding in a bush in the back of the map doesn't take skill. You have to be good to Qscope. Although, some people may be exadurating a bit, not every kill has to be a QScope!

I agree quick scoping is still here it's just not as more impressive in mw2. It does require more skill to do. I mean in a way I wish it was like mw2 but at the same it's something new and challenging so I actualy like it

I think they should bring quickscoping back and if u dont like quickscopeing play battlefield bad company 2 it is much more realistic than any cod in every aspect. It also has better graphics in my opinion.

i play video games for fun and i really think quickscoping is FUN. Im not that good and i really think that it is not overpowered and it makes the game more FUN and challenging. I cant beleive people think its overpowered. A videogame will never come close to real life and i dont think it should be super realistic. I like ALL the cod games as is

lse because that gun is way too good. It's 3 bullet kill at mid range and a 4 bullet kill from far away. JUST LIKE AN ASSAULT RIFLE exept with faster movement, and a faster fire rate. And because of this EVERYBODY is using it. And i know some of you out there are really freakin' tired of getting killed by this gun. I'm not blaming the players of black ops, because when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But treyarch really should do something about this gun.

I believe that quickscoping should be a tool and not a playstyle. In MW2 there were a lot of people who QS instead of using the sniper for what it really is...a LONG range weapon. I just believe that 3arc should have made it easier to snipe through maps such as wasteland because there is no one map that is "sniper friendly."

What treyarc ( no clue if that's right) was trying to do was to make a sniper do what it was meant to do. A sniper was meant to shoot from a long distance, not from 2 feet away (which is what quickscoping did). All they tried to do was make it a balanced weapon. Although I do think the hit detection is way off for ps3. I think they patched it for xbox though.

@TheGolfComedyChannel The thing is, although it's highly powerful, look at CoD:4, yes you can quickscope but it wasn't like everyone was good at it and also look at many other fps'. Besides, they need to realize there is absolutely no possible way this game could be even close to realistic.

@TheGolfComedyChannel yeah... ps3 hit dection is retarded atm.and yeah, i dont think they played mw2 becasue when i go back to that game i find that if im quick scoping against a dude with a SMG or assault rifle imma loose (if i miss first shot) which is the same for black ops but they made it almost impossable to hit the first shot (especially when you are running...)

@TheGolfComedyChannel yea but in the process they completely nerfed snipers i use the L96 and sometimes its not even a one shot! and by the time you get your scope back up and uve done all that bolt action stuff its been like 2 seconds! and snipers dont even bring them down in 1 hit if they have on second chance which is insane!

I have and use the snipers in Black Ops, and I honestly do feel that snipers have been slightly "nerfed". I know that quickscoping is completely unrealistic and isn't intended for that use, but some people have to realize that it is a game, a big part of the community does like quickscoping, and that their are certainly more important things Treyarch should be focused on. (Spawn system, sounds, connection/matchmaking)

I really don't know what all the fuss is about in Black Ops about sniping. I think it's perfectly balanced except for that they should make the snipers a little bit stronger. Quick Scoping is stupid it my opinion. It just ruined the game for me in MW2. I like sniping in Black Ops because you are actually using the sniper rifle as a sniper rifle.
I know i'm going to get a lot of thumbs down and negative comments, but I am simply stating my opinion in a mature way. Internet wars are stupid!

Treyarch should of had a gamemode just for Quickscoping. Like unless you have a sniper as a primary you cant use that class, that gamemode is only for quickscopers only not automatics.

its really funnyi just got a copy of cod 4 since my older one stopped working....all i do is snipe and i can quickscope soo much better than in mw2 soo i decided to snipe in black ops with the l96(my fave sniper in black ops) and i can get over 20 kills a match and have over a 1.5 kd
