this is a perfect video....anyone having negative spirit of critisism about ,must be sure that have the knowledge for this....the true history of the 3rd largest war in human's "civilization" after the WW 1 and WW 2 , with some amazing elements of mythology are shown in the  film from where are coming those scenes( the ever most expensive film created in China)....and this music covers those scenes is currying on the occidental music and thinking way into Far East's culture..

@DarkFaeries527 sorry wasn't trying to be rude, you made a comment asking what the mistake was and i just thought i'd explain it to you. But all that aside i'll make a comment about your video. If i were to do the video, i'd do it a little differently. The start of the video was good, but i just felt that the music needed to build up quite a bit before it comes to a complete silence and just after the silence i would add heavy and fast beating chinese drums.

@DarkFaeries527 and when the music gets faster you should try to add faster swordplay, but i can see that it's real hard to do that since a lot of the sword fighting in this movie may be kind of slow. Otherwise, it's pretty good :D

vishalsoni29, check out Jet Li's "Once Upon a Time in China" movies. The series is about 5 movies long, but only the first 3 had Jet Li in them. They're really good and were movies that skyrocketed his career.

If you're looking for more wuxia stuff like Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Curse of the Golden Chrysanthemum, and House of Flying Daggers are pretty accessible for westerners.

I'd recommend some of the older Jackie Chan ones too, because they're a LOT better than his western ones.

Crouching tiger, hero, flying daggers, memiors of a geisha, 2046, list goes on. That's why china doesn't really like her and why she's forced to start going into american movies. China doesn't want her anymore.

Sure she has had sex scenes but that is different from rape. Many respectable actresses do them it's not unusual. Also going into American movies is simply her going international which many many stars do. It's actually quite an accomplishment. Furthermore what about the upcoming Mei Lanfang of which she is the star? It's a chinese movie which shows they very much still "want" her.

sure there's a difference but the HIGH amount of any type of sex scenes still makes her lose face in the chinese movie industry. seriously, if you take a look at the chinese press, they're pretty harsh against her while praising other actors like gong li, tony leung or jet li. I read the chinese newspapers pretty often (i get them in the local chinese stores) and trust me. china doesn't like her, so she has to appeal to americans since they like the sex stuff.

The newspapers that bash her are from Hong Kong. They are brutal towards anyone from mainland China. Especially one whose sucess was so fast and who went international. Hong Kong was just returned to mainland in 1997 and have acted quite snobbish where they are concerned. They go out of their way to snub her especially for being a sucessful international star from the mainland. It really gets under their skin. All the papers from the mainland and Taiwan love her.

it's okay if you like her. personally i don't like her parts (her part in hero was pointless but she was on the american cover/poster for the movie anyway..) in movies but as an actress she's alright and her mandrin is really nice to hear. i understand that hong kong can be quite biased but i can guarantee that the chinese movie industry is just using her to appeal to americans instead of seeing her as a real actress. taiwan likes her because she pissed off china for portraying a japanese.

Yeah as far as Memoirs is concerned you also had Gong Li who is chinese and Michelle Yeoh who is Malaysian. Besides the american viewed mainstream movies that lots of people have seen though she has other great movies such as The Road Home, Purple Butterfly, The Banquet, Princess Racoon, and Jasmine Women. It's too bad most people here in America will never see those because they know nothing about them. Hell if you put Quentin Tarantino's name on the cover though it will fly off the shelves.

the road home, jasmine women and the banquet were really good. gong li did take some of the heat from being in the geisha movie but not as much as ziyi...probably because gong li has been a legend for the past couple decades. china doesn't care what michelle yeoh does because she's malaysian. the only time they bitched about her was in CTHD about her bad mandrin accent. tarantino's missing out on some movies but at least he's making americans more aware of good asian movies and film makers.
