How to Park in Philadelphia: Reading Philly's Parking Signs

Its SAD when you have to post a youtube video explaining how to read the parking sign.

I was visiting the city this past Thursday (I'm from Pittsburgh) and I recieved a $75 ticket for parking in a "Tow Away Zone". On the left side of the sign it had hours of parking and on the right it said To Away, so I figured that as long as I was within the times on the left I was good. The sign is perpendicular to the curb, NOT parallel. If it was parallel, I would of clearly understood that the left side applied to the spot in front, and the tow away to the spot where I was. UGH!

I could NOT figure out why I got a ticket, until I saw the sign in the video. It's the arrows, everybody. The signs say No Parking, Yes Parking, but you have to be parked fully in front of the green Yes Parking arrow. $31 lesson. Bummer. Great video, I got it.

if there is a slight chance I will getting towed, I will not enter the city. London Ontario is also known as doing so, I now live in a small town, always parking, never towed!
