Spore was actually released on September 5, 2008, so Yuzo was right and i don't ever remember tobin wearing that shirt.. though if im wrong please correct me b/c i would love to see the episode where Tobin has to wear that shirt. Also, I think it is absolutely ridiculous that the game took that long to come out. Even with both of you knowing full well how long the game had already took to be developed you still were 3 months off for Yuzo and 9 months for Tobin. love the show

each Odin sphere character plays differently, there are some flaws with the battle engine as mentioned, but it shines in later characters. The story of later charterers story arch's are a lot better as well... You surprised me w/ your review, but i can really understand it considering your window of play.

Problem is, these guys don't work as reviewers. They have daytime jobs, they don't get paid to play games like professional reviewers.

A "fair" review can only be written if you beat the game you're reviewing, like, twice and give it time to sink in. And if they did that, they could only review like one game every week. And honestly, some people don't have the time or money to play games that don't instantly grab them. These reviews are perfect for them.

Odin Sphere=ART!!!! Play the game more and not just one character. It's a great game and the storyline is well done. Better than FPS game. Odin Sphere just proves video games can be art and if some people can't see that then that's sad.

I've got to say that I really love Odin Sphere. Battles could be a bit repetitious at times and there was a lot of button mashing, but I think that the story was very interesting and it kept me interested. I loved the characters and I loved seeing how things played out with them.

Your suppose to absorb the phozons after you defeat the enemies, so you don't get hurt. I though Odin Sphere had the deepest story ever. I played the game over and wrote down the script, gave it to my Drama teacher and she loved it! Now were going to do it for our play! I can't wait, I got cast as Mercedes!

the reason you need to press a button to absorb phozons is so that you can choose whether you want to give the phozons to a plant or not. the game is about using items and growing your player by managing your items, not action. if there was more complicated action there would be way too much to focus on.

The emphasis is on timing, hitting enemies when they can't hit you, not performing a QCF+punch move over and over.

Although, if you want to play a game like OS that is a fighter play Princess Crown for the Saturn. It's also made by VanillaWare.

Yes OS only uses 1 button, but you can perform different moves via spells, pressing directions and attacking, and using items. I understand you don't like the combat system, but its pretty obvious you didn't get past the 2nd book.
