Tens of thousand of Azeris were killed in Baku, Shamakhi, Guba and other regions of Azerbaijan within a few days. Nationalist Armenians conducted ethnic cleansings in late 1980s and early 1990s on the territory of present day Armenia and neighbouring regions. However, the genocide carried on through as far as 1923 as the Turkish government kept cleansing the land of the last remaining Armenians who either had been able to survive the mass killings of 1914-1916 or had returned home after having escaped the first wave of the deportations and killings (those in Kilikia - modern day Mediterranean regions of Zeitun, Adana, Marash, Sis, Haj@n, etc.). Again, yes, I am Armenian and I do have emotional involvement in the issue, but it is a historical one.

just study the facts deeper and it will be clear what it was. the fact is that the term genocide was brought to life by Dr Lampkin because of his conclusion that "the events of 1915" were in fact descriptive of the term. And those, who still say "the events of 1915" show total lack of history knowledge or at least half-heartedly studied history. the deportations and killings started in 1914 and went on actively through 1916.

For the record, I am Armenian, but before calling me nationalist you should perhaps study the facts deeper. I can say that this video does not go in depth of presenting the attrocities committed by the Young Turks or all the documents that do, indeed, speak of the planned nature of the carried out mass murders and deportations. there may be some who don't take dissent well among us, but it's ignorant to say that's how Armenians are. the Armenian Genocide is not just an emotional issue.
