  • at 3:00 is that your camera or are there a bajillion and 1 ants there?

  • Not that people would object to getting rich from metal detecting, but as a rule nobody expects to get rich metal detecting, it's the finding, the exploration, the chance of finding something interesting, that is why people go out metal detecting!

  • Even in my homeland we do not have to work so hard as this in order to make ten cents. I suggest you find new job. Even cleaning up after retards would pay you better much . Thank you.

  • @Icehut What kind of messes do they make, that I'd have to use a metal detector to clean them up?

  • you make it look so easy

  • have you tried coca cola on gold?

  • What's a good method of cleaning the coins. If that's a quarter, it sure looks like a penny. So dark.... I'm sure there are methods of rapid cleaning, but we don't want to destroy or damage the goods. So like light acid - but what kind?

  • @pkrska

Coca Cola cleans coins. It contains carbonic acid fromthe dissolved CO2 that gently cleans coins. 'Its the real thing' for cleaning metallic find

My bro in law found 5 quarters,2 dimes, and a few pennys...and this was all in about one hour and a halfs time! VERRY FUN HOBBY

  • @WeirdParkGuy I had a MXT and it was easier to use and really good on coins and relics

  • looks like a scenic place at least---good luck on future hunts

  • don't spend it all in one spot... :)

  • Good video I hope you make more.

  • how does a dime get there?

  • @ItalianKid59 could have been washed up under the big rock by heavy rainfall or could have been thrown for some reason and landed there---could hav been droppe by someone and coin bounced or rolled up under the rocks

  • @micmoable o ok lol good place btw

  • is that your can of spinach on that rock lmao

  • its coors light smart stuff

  • WOODStock?

  • Where in Conn. R U? I have been to Dudley town many time. about 10 miles from my home

  • where in ct?

  • i don't want to sound like a pansy but isn't metal detecting in a state park illegal.....?

  • @nirvanafan2737 Depends on where you are. In Washington State all you have to do is let them know you're there and follow some common sense rules.

  • @nirvanafan2737 For the record, it's not illegal in Connecticut to metal detect in State parks as long as it's surface detecting (no visable damage to the environment). There are a few exceptions, such as Trumbal (old battlefields), but it looks like he's detecting on top of Great Hill on the Portland, East Hampton border. You can also get permission in Glastonbury to gather minerals from an old quarry (cool minerals like aquamarine are found around there)

  • @nirvanafan2737 It varies from state to state. Some will sell you a one-day permit.

  • @nirvanafan2737 so what is the reasoning why it is illegal?

  • @username0u812ic I thought it was Illegal too. Well I know in my state it is.. I'm not sure about CT. Here you can't metal detect on any park land unless you lost something and you need a permit for doing that. Also a law here says that if you find something over 100 years old (This is not just metal detecting this applies to everything you could find) you have to leave it where you found it and you can't take it. Stupid laws... HH.

  • @nirvanafan2737

Depends where you go. Some parks yes, others no.

  • @cdubMRA State parks NO

  • @edzick917

Actually some will let you, but you must to ask first. Usually have to fill out some type of form. I have before in Michigan, and it was okayed with the park rangers/staff. Really depends on the state though.

  • @nirvanafan2737 take legality and shove your ass stupid shit ..and screw nirvana , too

  • @nirvanafan2737 always ask, unless its posted no metal detecting! We all have to follow the rules! Good Job on the finds brooklynct2003!!!!

  • @nirvanafan2737 True- state parks are a no no- this guy must not know

  • @nirvanafan2737 Lately everything is illegal. When it comes to doing fun things, that hurt no one and are done by yourself. Go ahead, go to a park, and see how long it takes for a cop to show up wondering what your are doing there. Especially if your in a certain age demographic. They will ask why you are alone in the park in the first place. Then they will search you and the contents of your car. And if they don't find anything, they will look puzzled and ask again, what are you doing here!

  • @nirvanafan2737WHAT SHOULD WE DO ? SAY MISTER FORREST MAN I FOUND A DIME OR TWO,( BUT I BROUGHT BACK A TON OF GARBAGE.! WHO'S WRONG? THE STATE OR THE PROSPECTOR? EVERYONE I KNOW BRINGS BACK GARBAGE TO BE PUT IN A SAFE PLACE?

  • I've heard of a place called Dudleytown. I have heard it is off limits to the public but if you sneak in you'll find alot of relics from several old houses.

  • Yeah, I've always wanted to go to dudley town. Its a ghost town, and is sapposedly haunted. It is patrolled by state police. If you get caught most likely you'll get about a 250$ fine. It is full of old foundations though. Would be a great place to Detect.

  • cool that you have a whites. i have a whites prizm 3.

  • I was just metal detecting there! I live like 5 miles away!

  • I would of let my best friend do the digging Looks like he is just hanging around

  • very nice video! i am just wondering if it is allowed to metal detect in connecticut state parks? thaks for the help!

  • Hey brooklynct2003,

    I'm from South Killingly, Ct

Been detecting from the mid 70's. I remember going to many a state park including mt. misery. And also the fair grounds, Boy scout camps etc..Back then I use to find so much silver my pants were fallin down at the end of the day. Unfortunately alot of places are banned now cause of sloppy people leaving holes all over the place. It's great to see people like yourself still finding treasures fom the past. I still detect now and then

  • Hey, Mount Misery! I love that place. Always people there, though. I know some good old foundation spots in those woods.

  • coors light great choice 1 of my best friends 2

  • why is it "Adolf" Coors?

  • that is the name of the founder of Coors he was a brewer from Germany who moved to Colorado to brew his beer!

  • great video,,, make more man!!!

  • I'd love to do this hobby, but would'nt know what to buy. how expensive in £££s do you need to spend to find coins at a depth of 8" or so?

  • £150

  • Really enjoyed the video. Keep up the good work and look for more of the same from you.

  • LOL, I love how everyone says dont rub the coin and everyone rubs the coin! Thanks for the vid though hit mine up at Crackbadger detecting

  • Very cool. I would like to go metal detecting with you someday :)

  • Great Video.Keep us informed of anymore of your finds.

  • I like how at the beginning of each scene every item in the inventory is introduced as well as the beer. I like it, nice vid!

  • I've spent quite a bit of time in the woods with my detector and have made some real nice finds. And you are right about the exorcise. Good video

  • Pretty cool! Thank you! Carol K

  • Hello, love the video, but I thought metal detectors were not allowed in state parks?...

  • I think you have to get some kind of permit for certain areas.

  • really there not?
