A true Gnostic knows what eating the flesh of Jesus and Drinking the Blood of Christ really means. A Gnostic is a seeker. Not one of the dead letters in the Bible.
I am so glad you are telling people the reality of gnosticism. I have been telling people for a long time the same things, and I'm crazy,ha. thanks for posting and breaking it down.
@wattsnick30 Wow. It appears that I'm dealing with a teenager. If you were a bit older you might understand that there is nothing you can love or hate about another person unless it reflects upon something you love or hate about yourself. It appears that my initial instinct was correct, as my efforts were clearly wasted.
@wattsnick30 Would it surprise you to know that I agree that the modern gnostic churches are a sham? A few of the ancient Gnostic schools supported an outer school for interested psychics. Such schools generally had a library which taught a vast cosmology to be used as an aid for unlocking key spiritual concepts. It was thought that such learning could hasten the acquisition of Gnosis, but with no Gnostic teachers available, the rituals and books are nearly useless. Pneumatics use no rituals.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus teaches his disciples what he teaches all believers. That sins cannot be forgiven unless we forgive each other. This is so un-Orthodox and opposed to going to confession whether private or public. If you harm someone and they do not forgive you and you do not appease them for it, then God will not forgive you either. It is a much higher standard than Orthodoxy or Judaism. Gnostics are also more chaste than Catholics and Orthodox.
@wattsnick30 Yes there are Gnostic practices. Gnosticism is a theology but it is a different religion than Catholicism. You shouldn't call them retarded, that's not polite child.
I believe in the Gnostic Jesus and know the Unknown Father. I find it ironic that because of Irenaeus and his works, the orthodox church cannot deny Gnostic scriptures or the NHL.
Gnostic practices predate Christianity and are found in both the New and Old World. I haven't studied Blavadski, but I am quite sure that Aun Weor and Crowley were NOT Gnostic. I suspect they recognized that a great way to shock their audience was to find something that the church fathers hated and claimed to be it.
@wattsnick30 Epiphanius is the orthodox church father responsible for the variant of "against heresies" that pandirasbox (the OP) is using as a reference. Writings deliberately intended to be used as propaganda are NOT a legitimate reference for understanding Gnostic beliefs and/or practices.
Modern Gnostic church? lol True Gnosis cannot be learned or taught. Do you believe that reading all the books makes you a Gnostic? Or does your Gnostic church practice mass AND communion rituals? lol
@wattsnick30 "Against Heresies" was a dogmatic hatchet job issued from the early orthodox church to counter the teachings of a wide variety of groups, including Gnostics. It was intended to be one-size-fits-all propaganda - not reliable as an unbiased reference. A little history goes a long way.
As for aleister crowley, he was clearly a luciferian, not a Gnostic. It is also clear to me that you are unable to discern the difference, and any further efforts to assist are almost surely wasted.
@pandirasbox Nice try. "Against Heresies" is not a particularly accurate reference source for understanding Gnostics or their beliefs. What you end up with is a bunch of orthodox misinformation.
@izkda8 I'm afraid you've been misinformed. Personal experience was as vital to the ancient Pneumatics as it is to the modern ones, but the reality is that today we are few and far between. There are a lot of charlatans spreading a lot of disinformation about Gnosticism, and there are also those who slander us who do so without fear of contradiction. This is acceptable, since the real teachings aren't meant for mass consumption anyways, and the charlatans help us filter the wheat from the chaff.
@izkda8 This is also true. A Pneumatic Gnostic will have no interest in hierarchy, (even if positioned at the top) and can only view a church as a vehicle for promoting conformity, which is of no interest or use. This small detail hasn't stopped psychic leaders from calling themselves Gnostic, and then forming their groups, but what their followers don't realize is that Gnosis cannot be compelled, so what they are being taught is not Gnostic, and they are all almost assuredly wasting their time.
@izkda8 Not to mention, in the classic Bible, Jesus said, "wherever two or more of you are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst". I'll prefer Jesus' actual words to any related philosophy.
@mknomad5 This is absolutely correct. Reflecting upon, and then acting in spiritual accordance with the words of Jesus Christ is far more important than following a bunch of rules, since he is the best place where the Truth can be properly recognized. A pair of genuinely devout individuals is better at finding him than most groups, which are generally susceptible to herd poisoning. If I were to attend a church, I would not speak to everyone there, but only to those who have the ears to hear.
@izkda8 Then I do not agree with nag hammadi scripture. Evidence in established psychological work supports sharing ideas. It helps us identify and categorize our personal beliefs, and I know from personal experience that this is true. "No man is an island". It may be your experience that church-goers are spiritually blind, but it is definitely not true of all of them, and not my experience. Churches are like people: some have higher percentages of enlightened humans than others.
It is two different things: striking out on your own, going up to the mountaintop alone to commune with spirit, or coming together with a congregation of like-minded people to receive fresh insights from the communal spirit. We need both. I enjoy the WHOLE Bible, e.g. Paul -- Hebrews 10:24, but I do agree too many people only focus on church-going.
The problem is in the interpretation. There are other mystical states that can lead someone into thinking that they have achieved Gnosis, but the truth is contained within the word itself. Gnosis = Knowledge. This is secret knowledge, meant for the individual only. No master or school exists or is needed to learn more. Those who break into the astral, or achieve a peaceful meditative state without acquiring hidden knowledge are NOT Gnostic. Pneumatics receive a cosmic download, psychics do not.
@adomjask Perhaps you misunderstood. By church, I mean early orthodox church. At that time there were mystical groups that did use body fluid based sacraments. True Gnostics see these as being psychic, but were lumped together with them for ease of prosecution. Modern groups that use tantra, lightwork, and astral projection are psychic, not Gnostic. Any group that offers to teach or train is psychic, not Gnostic. In fact, any *group* is psychic, not Gnostic! Pneumatics tend to be very solitary.
@adomjask Pneumatics don't join groups. We make exceptions when we do teach others, because what we know we obtained through direct Gnostic experience, NOT training, and it's something which cannot be compelled, transfered, or even translated to another person effectively, so we usually don't even bother to try. The only reason I speak out here is because I see others hijacking the term "Gnosticism" when describing their organizations, but what they are really advocating are psychic interests.
@opatycja and kmichael: There is some historical context involved here. In the past, there were mystics who did engage in extensive fluid-based sacraments. Those mystics were not true Gnostics, but rather, psychics. Unfortunately, in the church was able to lump both groups together as part of a successful smear campaign. Pneumatics know that there are no dietary or social restrictions. Nor is it about tantra, dreams, or astral travel. We do not use those toys. Just thought you should know.
I would highly suggest anyone not get involved with Belzebuub. He's one of the neo gnostics who teaches sexual magic, which they also call alchemy.(which is false)Belzebuub is known to be a cult leader. There is no such teachings of intimacy in the nagg hammadi library, but these people teach that. The history of neo gnosticism is kind of weird, same goes for the gnostic churches who consume semen and menstraul blood for a sacrament. They were raping the word gnosis before it was even found.
@ kmichael212 you sound to me too similar to how the Church banned the Gnostics in the first place, claiming now absolute statements such as 'there is no such teaching in the nag hammadi library' or someone is 'known to be a cult leader' where is any element for someone to think for themselves? You 'seem' to know Gnosticism straight to the core? How can anyone make any such claim about any teaching that helps unite individuals towards divinity when there is so much mystery in divinity itself?
@opatrycja Lady,I am not part of any religion.Belzebuub is a pretender of spirituality because he makes so much money.Your no different then sameal aun weor and his sexual magic scheme. The symbolic bridal chamber is for the pure people, not defiled animals like yourself and your Cult who believes Alchemy is some kind of sex to be performed.Belzebuub was caught by many people trying to have sex with many of his followers, according to the youtube videos about him.He is a no good creep.
@opatrycja And also the word belzebuub is a mythological DEMON fro my understanding, and this is his name he calls himself. He thinks he is bezlebuub.NEO gnostic belzebuub is just like the early church fathers, not I.You said"there is a mystery in divinity",yes, obviously its still a mystery to you. There is no teachings of sex in the nagg hammadi library,ARE U a FUCKIN RETARD.Jesus speaks out against desire in the nagg hammadi library.People like you are sick and defiled.
@opatrycja Gnostic scripture called "The testamony of truth"But those who receive him to themselves with ignorance, the pleasures which are defiled prevail over them. It is those people who used to say; "God created members for our use, for us to grow in defilement, in order that we might enjoy ourselves." And they cause God to participate with them in deeds of this sort; and they are not steadfast upon the earth. Nor will they reach heaven,
I thought coming here would have more meaningful and heartfelt discussions then that. But you never know these days anymore... The message in gnosis and in the Naghamadi texts has more depth that can open up any one's way of thinking even traditional religion, and new religous groups and churches. . You would be surprised how prone it is to get stuck in beliefs. I am not here to defend myself, just hope you can be more open. @kmichael212
@kmichael212 No offence taken :-) Just like to point out that Belzebuub doesnt make any money. His courses are free and have always been. Free Ebooks as well. Perhaps he presents the message in a slower pace than the fast world of spiritual entertainment but there is a lot of wisdom if you put things into practice not just leave them as words. Just like the Naghamadi, there is more depth than what you can see at first glance. Alchemy cannot be briefed in 30 seconds. It is huge in itself.
@kmichael212 Hey, no he doesn't. The retreat's I have gone to I have paid for the actual cost of the accomodation and the food I ate. There were ideas to get our own permanent place to hold retreats where we were trying to raise money to purchase a land etc... , that way everytime we go we would not have to pay the rental fees which would go to the owners of the property. Here is the future of retreats ($0.00 cost): belzebuub. com/belzebuub-at-retreats
@kmichael212 well, Jesus' life has an unfathomable role to show a path towards divinity. It is not about belief but aiming to directly experience the same path revealed by Jesus' own life. See Secret Quest on YT. Ive never thought that alchemy would be for teens, so maybe thats where the confusion is, Ive always sensed it to be a very sacred thing between a husband & wife, it definitely does not seem for the masses but for those few who would value something which is sacred in intimacy.
@opatrycja Thats what belzebuub teaches about alchemy.OMG!He teaches the same thing samel aun weor does.Alchemy is some kind of intimacy to belzebuub.Ha,my point exactly. He works for glorian .Hey I always thought alchemy was about transmuting the lead into gold, fully. No wonder why people call him a cult.
@kmichael212 Hmm.. well I thought the whole point with Gnosticsim and the Naghamadi Library and Jesus' deeper teachings etc... is that symbols are not meant to be taken literally, but have a deeper meaning.
The whole entire nagg hammadi libarary is amazing. The sad thing is the word gnosis was being raped before the nagg hammadi library was found,by new agers and theosophists. All neo gnostic churches come from new ager occultism, the nagg hammadi library as a whole is even heritical to neo gnostic churches. The nagg hammadi library is the coolest scripture for any religion to read.
Hi! Gospel of Thomas is a beautiful text, and you mentioned some really inspiring parts. I just happened to find your video by chance, and I really enjoyed the dialogue you shared, you were spot on to how strange it is that such powerful messages were taken away from the bible, to keep it away from the masses? I learned about Gnosticim from a free course years ago, based on the mystic teacher Belzebuub. You can find his website or look up his videos on Youtube.
Actually, the church is not so much a broker, but a pimp. They try to sell something that does not belong to them, and use fear to force their beliefs upon others. True Gnosticism is a movement that is timeless and worldwide, but which occurs to one person at a time. True Gnostics never prostheletyze, nor will they ever charge money, goods, or services in exchange for their knowledge. Those who do are charlatans, identical to those found within organized religion.
boring, weak, horribly misinformed and intentionally misleading. All christian gnostic, gnostic christian, jewish christian, judeo-christian, hellenistic, mystery gnostic, pagan gnostic, gnostic jewish-christian, zoroastrian-hellenistic, gnostic zoroastrian, zoroastian-judaic, zoroastrian, gnostic and christian groups of that confusing and clumsy period were just people who had several competing, equally valid equidistant spiritual theophanies and theologies. no right no wrong
2009? You need to post more shit. Dont tell me you dropped the camera... That was amazing .(it can get you killed to) haha. ''SHiFTY sheep" <-- Facebook! Look me up. Would love to hear more from you guys.
Those books were written like 200 to 300 years after Christ...That is why they were not added to the Bible. The New Testament Books were all written in the first century. (I am a former gnostic) gnostic christianity is wrong that is why it speaks to the worldly people mot true mystics.
Just a question??? Are you implying that "Hate" thy mother and father(scripture) is NOT in the Bible??? Try Luke 14:26.(If I misunderstood than MY BAD) The book of Thomas is a good book to read and falls in nicely with all other texts.
Shame do I feel sorry for you people. You guys don't' need a saviour. So why even believe in Jesus, the Messiah. You are your own selfmade deluded Gods. The Catholic church is as evil and as misguided as you are.
DO NOT join these modern organizations named. What happened with the churches you mentioned is happening with these organizations today. The teachings work but the people who administer the teachings under the authority of the truth have very different agendas for their "followers."
They are also "brokers." Stick to your own experience with the truth and you will not be decieved by con artists.
If you'd like to learn about gnostic teachings from the gnostics themselves, I recommend checking out gnosticawakenings(dot)com Gnosis is actually a very practical based thing based on techniques to get a direct connection to the divine and to enlighten ourselves, to become divine beings ourselves. By practicing these techniques I've found a huge change within myself and been able to learn a lot. There's more information available by a modern gnostic teacher on his website belzebuub(dot)com
Be your own student and be your own master. think for yourself because religion of today is nothing but a god damn mind slave control system going hand in glove with government.
One of the sayings in the Gospel of Thomas was straight out to Plato's teachings. Saying number 2 "Jesus said, 'those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. when they find they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed they will marvel, and they will reign over all.'" (from Plato, Timaeus 90) this is equivalent: "He that seeks will not rest until he finds; and he that has found shall marvel; and he that has marvelled shall reign; and he that has reigned shall rest."
You guys a couple of mistakes. Your quote at 2:04 is very similar to the canonical Luke 14:26 "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."
I've also heard that the Church fathers selected the canon based on popularity and appeal to the common man.
Personally, and i don't mean to offend anyone, every religion is basically saying the exact same thing. Respect, peace, honour, etc.. but it is people that are taking that, twisting it around, and corrupting people's minds with it. Just like you said with the church. You can be forgiven but is that really going to stop you from going back and hurting some one again. If you know you're going to be forgiven every time then whats to stop you from hurting more people.
@lilmizpinkbubblegum the only way to be forgiven in th eyes of God is to truly do your best to never commit the same sin again. so, if someone asks God's forgiveness for lying to their wife and at the same time knows that he will do it again he will not be forgiven. you have to truly be sorry and plan on never putting yourself in that situation again.
God our heavenly father waits patiently and lovingly for all of us to grow up to know him. Most of us will never grow enough in this life to understand who he is, as babes we muck up. But we were not created for this life but for the life to come that is in him as children of the heavenly eternal kingdom. Yes you were made for eternity. Yes though we die, we will live again in him, eternal begets eternal. Wickedness will have no part of the eternal kingdom. Only love and peace and happiness.
God does not dwell in buildings, he dwells in people. When our time comes we will know him as we are known by him. On earth we experience our negative phase for the purpose of the contrast between good and evil. When we pass on to the new life we are perfected by our negative phase. By example we learn the lessons God has prepared for us for education in love, peace and harmony. Christ was our example of how we are all perfected, through pain and suffering on earth, then eternal life perfected.
All the religions of the world suck, literally, they suck poor innocent people from the truth and their money. They use fear and hell to rob and blind. God said have no other God before me. But men still follow men. The pope, Mohamed, Buddha, the thousands of other Gods and images that men are deceived into worship, Jesus himself said do not worship me, there is only one good, God the farther.
The church also wants to interpret the Word for you as well. Check out the Cathars and you'll really see why they were killed.
'Materialism is the root of all evil...'
Those darn commune-ists. They did not want to be a part of that garbage, so they, the Essenes, Cathars, had their own villages, schools... and IMHO, spot on!
To me, Christianity is a religion, and a religion is a cult. It's all presented as a resource for the people who can't face down life without someone else to provide answers for them. Kind of simular to seeking a therapist or joining the military. Seeking that discipline they cannot give themselves. The rest of us like me, are left in the minority to figure the whole damn thing out without losing our minds in the process, because we can, in fact, handle what truth we find.
A true Gnostic knows what eating the flesh of Jesus and Drinking the Blood of Christ really means. A Gnostic is a seeker. Not one of the dead letters in the Bible.

Its not for everybody :-) Cheers mate.

@opatrycja Your probably Belzebuub himself.LMAO!!And how much did you pay for camp?

TAMYCRON 1 year ago
@TAMYCRON Brokers..? Not all have black agendas!
im sure the majority of them do! True Gnosis is an individual experience! and can be taught!

@SubconsciousDweller
Just be careful ( :
And remember accepting what other people tell you does not equal gnosis and you'll be okay.
Much love.

If you know you're going to be forgiven every time then whats to stop you from hurting more people.
lilmizpinkbubblegum 3 years ago

Oh that's 'heresy' all right!
