  • Sorry this is not correct way to prune. Do not prune in the Winter. Very confusing info.

  • I disagree with you about the pruning time. Pruning in the winter cuts off all the buds for that year, and it won't bloom. And pruning in the summer is much more likely to stress the plant, and it won't have time to put on new buds for next year. If we followed your advice, our azaleas would never bloom! Also, there's nothing wrong with pruning while it's blooming, except it shortens the time you can enjoy the blooms. But it's actually a very good time to prune for the health of the plant.

  • Do not prune Encore Azaleas this way. Not all azaleas are Deciduous!!
