  • @MrIwesseli Holy shit dude. I overclocked mine and I got mine up to 270 and then it caught fire. LOL

  • Okay then. So, that probably means that cross fireing 2 wouldn't do much either. Right? It would only just give you more ports. Speaking of which, can you put 2 in with out doing anything to them just so you have more ports?

  • I hate to underclock my GPU because it was reaching temperatures of 104 degrees celsius (220F)

  • whoever thinks PCs should be a descent sized glass cube thumb me up

  • Put it in a box with awesome box written on the side, now your computer would be complete.

  • Does over clocking help anything else other then gaming? See, I just want to use, well the HG7970 or 990 for home theater use. Watching HD films, making HD vids and stuff like that.

  • @MrHamit64 Then you would'nt need to Overclock

  • @MrHamit64 7970 is overkill for watching films and editing video, editing and playing back HD video isn't very GPU intensive, IGP could probably handle that just fine.

  • can someone help me find a laptop with a nvidia geforce gtx 560m my price range around like $1000 please help me find one no taxes or shipping fee bye :)

  • @MrSuperbomb try Xotic PC

  • That's one really mouldy doughnut ಠ▃ಠ

  • That is one creepy ass benchmark image.

  • Damn i always wanted to use a no cased PC.

  • say im getting the pny pre liquid cooled cpu/gpu cooler would i have to change the fan speed? does it do it automatically if it gets hot?

  • I have a quite old PC so this did not really improve my performance. (I'm not saying it will no on your system!)

    Haha I have a

    AMD Athlon x2 4400+ Processor

    4x512 MB DDR1 Memory

    and

    ATI RadeonHD 2600XT

Heavy shit haha. But I'll soon have a 2000£ system :3

  • @you1e5mail Spending a lot of money on a system doesn't immediately make it good. Just sayin'.

  • @TheRigorMortisx Of course not, but if you know what to buy then it will be good :)

  • @you1e5mail Of course. ^^

  • Looking into what hardware I want to use for my next pc. What is a good video card say $120 or less? Nothing to high end. I run dual monitors 1 at 1360 by 768 and the other at 1366 by 768 (that is what it says, idk if it is actually at that). Pci express of course. Needs hdmi and either 1 vga or a dvi port. I watch youtube videos at 720p and the newest game I have right now is unreal tournament 3. But I would like to play mw2 at a decent frame rate. I only run games on one monitor.

  • @nerdyrcdriver i'd say a nvidia gts450.

  • @TheCaNin3 Thanks, I will look into it.

  • @nerdyrcdriver the radeon 6770 would be a solid choice and it's only $100 for the xfx brand one.

  • @TheJakehunter Thanks, that looks like a good card as well.

  • @TheJakehunter Actually, that doesnt look bad $124 for the msi twin frozer 2 OC.

  • @TheJakehunter yeah i agree, I got radeon 6750 and it rocks and 6770 i bet wouldnt be bad

  • @nerdyrcdriver 550Ti is good for your needs. Go to tigerdirect it is about under 120.

  • @Fus1onBarr3l Thanks, would it be worth paying the extra $8 or so to go from the evga to the msi overclocked one?

  • @nerdyrcdriver If you want extra FPS, go for it, but a stock clocked does fine.

  • this actually helped me out alot cleared alot out for me!

  • got my GTX 460 SC from 763/1526 to 830/1660

    2000 mem

runs around 73C after 3 minutes of burn in test from furmark

    fan at 50%

    gonna water cool later

brought clock down to 823 to avoid too much heat on stock cooler

  • @kenqui232 - Dude 73C is nothing. Even 80C is nothing for an Nvidia GPU. As long as you're under 75C [in my ***PERSONAL*** opinion] then you're fine!

  • my coputer crashed due to that furmark

  • I have the Tv behind him

  • try setting all the sliders to max. see what happens next,

  • @YvesWonGhz17 usually you just have to restart your comp

  • in my case, i use gma booster.

  • you know 90degrees Cecilius is around 195 Fahrenheit and that is not too far away from boiling,

  • Fag

  • what is the highest temperature the EVGA Geforce GTX 550 ti should go?

  • @candycandy57 Mine reaches 74 after running furmark for about 20 minutes. Hotter then i want but safe i guess.

  • @candycandy57 ive maxed bf3 out for hours and the max temp i get up to os only about 60 celcius

  • If you have a K series intel core processor that is made for overclocking, does it still void your warranty if you overclock it?

  • @thomasBLAKEINATORMAT intel has a brand new program where you spend around $20 on a warrenty for overclocking so if you burn up your cpu from overclocking, they will replace it free of charge. check it out. though cpu overclocking has nothing really to do with this video.

  • @kenqui232 Is that true? How do you get that program? Can you send a link?

  • @john0022 sent you link in pm. Anyone else, google Intel tuning plan.

You can only enroll your processor if you bought it within a year.

  • i have a sapphire 6770 HD which should be 800MHz but its runnin 775MHz at default... when i go higher and gunna play a game i very often get weird lines and my pc shuts off... what should i do?

  • you can also simply use the cataclyst conttrol center if u have an ati radeon card.

  • @hardcorecrusher12 doing it with ccc is bad plus u cant adjust the voltage, honestly your gpu doesnt even need ccc for it to work as it should.

  • That rig looks like something the A-team would have thrown together being stuck in my garage.

  • Waiting for this rig to hover in the air with those fans hehe.

  • I recently bought a GTX560Ti from MSi, it is a TwinFrozrII Edition and it originally comes with the MSi Afterburner. I didnt overclock it yet bought im looking forward to, will I Void my warranty if i do so?

  • Am i the only one that was bored and turned all the dials all the way up and hit apply?

  • @TheAustin3184 Yes. Yes you are.

  • "Looks at my computer", "Looks at video", F you HP

  • YES!!!! I am using EVGA

  • Anybody have stable overclock settings for nvidia Gtx 550 ti 2gb? (1gb works aswell.)

  • @RileyKiLLaH It depends on your individual card. A 40MHz or so overclock should work fine on any card though.

  • IS this guy homosexual?

  • @xxth0mpsonxx D'you just ask if Linus was homo? No you didnt! *slaps head*

  • @TheSilentHawx I was just wondering. He does sound a little flamboyent

  • @xxth0mpsonxx common misconception. Gay or not you'd be hardpressed to find a better channel with a reviewer that rivals this.

  • @xxth0mpsonxx When one reads your sentence it appears as if you are asking us if you are homosexual? To that I reply, "we don't know." Also ... when one asks the sexual preference of another there are two, and only two, reasons. To copulate or to hate. If you are just curious then you are social casting him.

  • @xxth0mpsonxx no he is married with a girl so dont think so

  • @marrabou11 Really? Where's the ring around his finger then, genius?

  • @Gnoxxation ... hes was married in march 2011

  • @xxth0mpsonxx no you are trying to hide your homosexuality

  • This is like the fifth video lately that I've seen with him just by coincidence.

  • i probably have the only overclocked radeon hd 6450 :D

  • i have a couple of qestions do you have to have a cooling system to overclock and dose this work for any video card

  • Thanks I just overclocked my 6850 to 820 from 775 and it runs stable after an hour and i get up to 70 degrees on full load

  • Hey, how would you know if someone OC'ed their card? I mean, if I brick my card and return it to the store I could get away with saying that it's defective since OC tweaking is done through software.

  • I overclocked my Radeon HD6750 from 700MHz to 870MHz, and when I run the test with that doughnut thing it works just fine. But when I turn on anti aliasing(8x), my whole system starts to be REALLY unstable(Mouse moves with 1fps on the screen etc). Should I lower the frequency or not do anything at all? I don't experience this in any other applications, not even 3dmark. Oh and also the maximum temperature it reaches is around 65 celsius

  • @SomeOnlineGamer18 Try using actual games. Furmark is too malicious on the GPU so its the worst case scenario.

  • @TheMaristBoy I never experience instability in any games on whatever settings, so I guess it's fine then

  • @TheMaristBoy That's the idea u nut, if it performs correctly using furmark with no stuttering or artifacts and your 15 degrees C away from your temp threshold then you know with 100% certainty that your not gonna fuck ur graphics card up by playing games for 4 hours

  • Why is it when i push apply my clocks go back to its originial

  • wat about the memory clock?

  • Warranty: Voided. Great software and explanation

My only question is: Why can't I OC my 6850 past 850mhz? Is it as you said.. a bios lock? T_T

  • @Tessitura92 If you're using Afterburner google "msi afterburner enable unofficial overclocking". It allows for larger changes of the speeds.

  • @realllylongame Cool, thanks!

  • whats a good OC settings for my GTX 560 TI HAWK

  • Does anyone know the max core voltage and core clock settings for a radeon hd 6850?? just wanna be safe:)

  • @GoldenAppleGaming Just bought this card, let me know what you get out of it!

  • @Tessitura92 Yeah im not sure whether to overclock it or not, with the stock cooler:/ any ideas???

  • @GoldenAppleGaming According to some forums I came across, Some people take em up to 1Ghz and up, but with an aftermarket fan.

I am fine at core clock: 850mhz (could probably go to 900-950mhz when I figure out how to lol)

    memory: 1100mhz

never exceeding 76 degrees C and no artifacts :)

  • @GoldenAppleGaming Oh and I did that with the stock fan***

  • @Tessitura92 Okay thanks for the advice:)

  • Looks like a giant moldy cheerio under a microscope

  • I have 7 case fans and 2 gfx card fans. Is that good enough for over clocking +50MHz?

  • @Tahricks ofc. why dont u just try it out duh?

  • @biaop1 Well I want to make sure so I dont burn my card man. Just wondering.

  • so much overclocking to render a donut?

  • @crazychainsaw007 you can use it for any GPU i have gigabyte`s GTX 580 and MSI afterburner is awesome for overclocking no matter what your card is :-)

  • im a noob but do you need a msi card to use msi afterburner or can i use it with say a evga card

  • I`ve got a GTX 580 using MSI Afterburner i managed to get a subtle overclock with 902MHz on the core clock shader clock 1804 and the memory @ 2028 stable, I wanna go higher but i don`t have any cooling for my card...the case is a Coolermaster 942 HAF X.

  • ZERBRA BUTTHOLE!

  • huh???????

  • 5-15% boost ? This card is crap.... I got a Nvidia gtx 460 and i get a good 20% boost by overclocking it (stock cooler and voltages) and its possible to get up to 40% boost if you have insane (water?) cooling and increased voltage. Zotac Gtx 460 stock clocks are 675 mhz and i seen people getting it up to 950mhz or at least 900mhz, some even tried 1ghz but i dont think thats safe even with water cooling.

  • omg i thought my graphics card was goin to die i have an 580 and i decided to push it beond 900mhz and boy was i wrong it fronze up after 2minutes and everthing that had images was green but after reboot everything was fin omg what a relief =)

  • I just pulled my Nvidia gtx 280 up from the stock 400Mhz to 725Mhz while keeping it stable still. All temps are well under the danger zone also. The fuzzy ring runs smooth and happy. I have changed the stock cooler to a Zalman cooler made for my card, and it works amazing.

  • Hey guys I have a question.

    I OC'ed my (msi n570 gtx twin frozr iii pe/oc) Stock is 770 OC'ed to 900 with +1.1V

So does OC'ing a graphic card reduces the life of the GPU?

It runs on kombuster stress tests max 52-54 C.

    Thank you.

  • @Artaxeus Yes

  • @Artaxeus welp, no one can say for sure if it will reduce it's life. But you're definitely at a higher risk than if you left it at stock clocks.

  • @Artaxeus OC or no OC, chances are it'll live past the end of its technological relevance. Say, it'll last 10 years at stock clocks, even if the OC halved its life you would still end up updating your graphics hardware at least once before the card kicked the bucket. 10 years is probably an understatement and 50% reduction in life is probably an overstatement.

  • hey!!! Mr!!! ahm. . .i got mobo p5g41t-m lx3 and a cpu of 2.8 core 2 duo 8 gb of memory and 500 gb sata hard disk. . but its not assemble yet but soon. . ahm this is my question can play great game with this specs????

  • watch this tutorial:

    watch?v=EVnyl1QcPP8

  • ahh my xfx 6850 has limits...... cant push the core any further than 850mhz, from 775...

  • @ThePCgamer1989 It might be locked in your bios... and if it is, you should be able to unlock it

  • i got my amd radeon 6770 to 960 mhz stock fan never goes over 65c

  • I got 80 Degress without overclocking :(! GT 430!!!

  • @pivotdeadking Nvidia makes hot gpus. Thats why,

  • @eris443 Yea ino but they still work fine

  • Lol, i wish i had this on school

  • lol at nvidio! :D

  • did anyone notice his mic?

  • Comment removed

  • i have overclocked my Nvidia 8200M G from 400mhz to 470mhz lol..

  • And why my core clock didn't increase when I tested using Furemark? :(

    It maintain on default (400MHz).

  • @nazrin2012 did you click apply?

  • @colinprprpr Yes, btw solved already, it need to warm up and took few minutes on stability mode before increasing. thanks for your reply btw. :)

  • Why is it my GPU clock: 399 MHz, Memory clock: 900 MHz on Furmark after I tuned and increased those on MSI Afterburner? Help please.

  • Shamwow makes video cards?

  • would you need aftermarket cooling with a twin frozr ii?

  • @aSuperBosnianMan the twwin frozr can do 1GHz

  • Why is there a hairy donut on your screen? lol

  • YOUR GRAPHIC CARD GOOD ENOUGH SO YOU HAVE JUST TO INCREASE YOUR FAN SPEED UPTO 80% AND YOU WONT HAVE OVERHEATING PROBLEMS LIKE 56 C

  • Any body know what the benchmarking utility was called?? Thanks

  • @ImAKillZoneFan Furmark

  • MAX ALL THE SETTINGS!!!

  • @friken0frank2 haha no that would restart ya pc

  • @friken0frank2 PC over heated? :okay:

  • @friken0frank2 *Boom*

  • @friken0frank2 HELL YEA!!

  • @friken0frank2 that would be sooo tempting ahaha

  • personally i'd wait for the warranty to run out before i overclock my gpu

  • Dear Sir, when do you need to OC and how can you tell if you are OCing too much. I read that the safest OC is to fiddle around the "ratio" not the volt or the hrz. thanks.

  • did he just say nvideo cards at 2:57

    lol'd

  • @paypwnz haha!

  • at my gpu usage it says max 8 what dose that mean

  • is that a 3D scan of his anus?! you can see the purple veins and everything!

  • @Cruzboy How do you know an anus has purple veins? :D

  • @tyler5310 rofl

  • @Cruzboy thats nasty

  • what the hell can i do if my GPU is at 70-80 degrees idle....i have a radeon HD 4870 1GB DDR5 (by PEAK)

  • Hey I have an asus directcu II gtx 560 ti which has great cooling. Mine is clocked at 830Mhz, how much can I overclock it to?

  • @FaggonDraggon LOLOOL shouldve gotten the gtx 560ti msi tf2 because theseare my settings

    core clock:950mhz

    shader:1900

    memory:2100

and my fan speed IS 40 LOL and idles at 28 full load 10 mins in kombuster is 66 degress keep in mind ONLY 40% FAN LOL

  • @pcgaminglegend 40% han is pretty high for idle, mine is like 15% and stays to about 30 c. The memory is already clocked to 2000 and shader to 1700, and I didnt have many options, I just heard that dc II cooler is pretty good. I was just wondering if it would be overclock it to 900mhz?

  • @FaggonDraggon hey dude gotta tell you 40% fan is the lowest msi tf2 can go so bassically i have my card to LOWEST fan speed and now i have it overclock to 1ghz and now when i play l4d2 for 35mins i get a max temp of 56 degress =P i recommened if you have a 90$ case or above with 5 fans medium amout of space to 950 or 900 to how safe you wanna be =p

  • @pcgaminglegend oh ok thanks, yea I have the antec df-30 which has a 120mm fan mount, I might get a nice fan to put there just in case if I overclock my gpu

  • @pcgaminglegend *be safe to overclock it to 900mhz

  • Afterburner is awesome

  • @Xtacy000 i have a chauffeur, and a mclaren f1, so i told him to drive it really fast, and i had my pc on the roof, and i overclocked it, really fast, and i live in greenland, really cold, and then the car ran out of fuel, and my pc consisting of 3 2600ks, 10 geforce mars whatever, 39848 gb of ram and 50 120gb ssds, and the powersupply is a portable nuclear powerplant, which exploded, since it was aircooled, when the car stopped, so we melted and became one forever. and ever. and the pc died.end

  • @Xtacy000 I would have thought that the ambient temperature of your room would rocket because of both of those motors. You're shifting a lot of air but in a room with no ventilation you'd just end up sucking in warm air. Obviously it works for you, I'm just talking generally.

  • yes. pretty much any GPU can easily do 70-80 *C without any worries. Most GPUS have a Tolerance up till like 100+*C before it would fry it. it all depends on your cooling

  • I OC my Radeon HD6870 to 640mhz from 630. It stays at 40 Celsius at idle but it goes up to 70 at full load. Is that safe?

  • i dunno if its scripted or whatnot, but this guy is good

  • Linus is fucking awesome ;)

  • i put my Asus EAH6950 on 1.1GHz and it stays cool avg temp is 50Celsius

  • i need some help my videocard is a 6950TFIII PE/OC stock settings are 1100mV core clock 850mhz and memory 1300mhz i can do a lil overclock to 900mhz and 1325mhz but now i cant go further even if i have the voltage raised. games starts crashing people got 940-1050 and 1500mhz so this is quite low.

  • @MrLawliePawp too bad! :( i got twin frozr II GTX 560 Ti IT OWNS OC'ing also. its now like core clock 1k mhz. its ghz

  • @MrLawliePawp if ur games crash just stop.. maybe its a different card?

  • @Undataker95 umh no man it can't be. I have the box, receipt and website where i got it from. Btw i have overclocked it to 940-1355 with voltage 1250. these settting didnt work before and now they are stable. so i don't know what the problem is or was.

  • @MrLawliePawp oh well all good then :) im getting 1 soon hopefully its as good as people say

  • Hello, what would be a good overclock for the nvidia Quadro 2000? thank you :)

  • i have checked the allow core woltage check box but its locked i cant change the voltage im using the Gigabyte GTX 560 OC Edition 1GB Dual DVI Mini HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card. please help. =)

  • how long should you run the test for?

  • my hd6670 runs 43-46 degrees idle and 62-67 on full load,should i overclock it?its hot i know cause i live in a hot country :|

  • @gen2sega Your good just watch those temps :)

  • @Joshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh1 and does the lesser the memory, the better/stable?? cause i oced my core by 125mhz but memory by only 65mhz.if i increase the memory and strees test it,it will crash furmark.any ideas?thanks!

  • @gen2sega Not the lesser the closet to your stock memory, for example you cant push a cpu with low 1066 ram that far, however i would recommend buying 1600 ram and overclock your cpu then downclock the ram to like 1552

  • overclocked my standard gtx 560 to 950mhz :) used the program that galaxy bundled with it. (from 810mhz)

  • liked and subscribed you do great work!

  • I see you never use a case. Why dont you run aircon into it?

  • why my 8400 gs no fan temp is like yours? overclocked core clock 711 shader 1790 mem clock 390 temp no benchmark 43 - 47 with benchmark 50 - 55 xD no fan ok no fan but your have fan...

  • @19atiq98

If you have no fan it means you have heatsinks that does the job instead.

  • tip 69 <3

  • I have a 5450...:L Soon to have a 6970 :D

  • I just skipped to 5:17 and I saw the temp as 5253 degree OMG!! xD

  • My 5870 comes with ATI over clocking software with testing and everything? Why doesn't this card, I am sure it's better than mine?
