  • This is a very nice and candid. Thanks for remembering the children and for sharing the beautiful song.

  • spacejockey..... its a way para marealize mo kung ano ang pwede mong gawin para magkaron ng pagbabago hindi para tignan ang video na ito para "punahin" o maging isang kritiko.... ANO DIN BA MAGAGAWA MO?

  • a lot of filipino children are sex slaves

  • Batang Pilipino ang pamagat - -

    salamat, -glenn

  • ano pamagat ng kanta? plsss.. reply

  • LORD JESUS CHRIST said "man does not EAT on "bread" alone".So, who are the actual poor people in life1) The physically hungry (bread, water, etc)? or2) The spiritually hungry (not having LORD JESUS CHRIST in their life; that person who has the feeling of guilt! That person who cannot forgive! That person who has all the material position, but are not happy with their life! etc., That person who cannot sleep at night! etc "What benefit a man, when he gains the whole world and loses his own soul"

  • CALLING ALL FILIFINO'S ABROAD: Let us ALL unite as ONE, by helping the poor in OUR beloved country the Philippines. "WE cannot do everything, but WE can do something". Let's start with OUR own barrangay/suburbs first, then extend...DON'T asked what your country can do for you! ASKED what you can do for your country! Let us break the cycle of poverty, by giving one child(s) an education. WE cannot help them all, but we can START by HELPING ONE, then TWO. So, LETS START WITH 1, THEN MAYBE 2..

  • My Childhood,Im Filipino - Life.

  • Good Job!

  • Thanks heaps for posting this video ... many of us that grew up in phil/manila had so much memories bad or good. This video brought back the memories even may show the differences of life style or the poverty line, and enviroment influence the child, the uniqueness of all filipinos finds the way to be joyfull and friendly.

    Cheers

  • Namiss ko tuloy ang aking mga pamangkin!!Glenn good job!!!

  • Take time to come home, Kris, or have you lately? Medyo magulo lang ngayon and we don't really know where we are headed. Let us continue to pray for our motherland. I know the one above is still in control but we should do our part from our end to make things work, and a lot rely on teamwork, d ba? >))@>-

  • sigh.. this bring back sooo many memories... I'm part filipino and mexican, but I'm mostly filipino.. I was born there and raised there for 7-9 years... in a few months, I'm going back to my birthcountry and stay there for a few years.... I SOOOO CAN'T WAIT!

  • Going back to one's roots is a great move - - just stay open and loving, you won't regret it. Take care.

  • lol thanks.... I love Philippines.. but I grew attached to my new home though, which is America, so I will surely come back here.. and maybe in a few years, I'll visit my relatives in Philippines again.. and say hi to my cousin, who is like a brother to me.

  • good for you, Angel. One has to be rooted to find and understand one's self. Identity, ika nga. Keep in touch, bro.

  • I miss my home =(

  • I'm of Filipino heritage and I'm visiting my father in Paranaque. The displays of wealth and poverty in the same place is dizzying. There's well-stocked high-rises and whole suburbs that resemble Beverly Hills, and in the same area, children begging on the street, drinking out of filthy pipes and fire hydrants, buildings that are in dire need of repair and renovation...

    Thanks for uploading this video.

  • There's much you can do, Rom. Come home even for a visit. A lot of worthy organizations, too, doing their part towards a better Philippines. Keep in touch, my family and I live in BF Homes, Sucat, Paranaque.

  • it should be shown on tv...

  • Every Filipino should hear this! Thanks you for the message.

  • thank you all, guys . . really appreciate your kind responses, this street children issue should really be addressed, asap. -gb

  • Saludo Kay Idol: Haneeep ka kung Gising. Inspirasyon kitang pinaninimdim kung ika'y Mahimbing.

  • awesome glenn. hikbi.. i miss my youth in manila.

  • Glenn,

Beautiful. Beautiful images to go with the music. Makes me sad and happy at the same time remembering my lost childhood, happy seeing it all over again, sad because I'm never going to recover it. But thanks to you, this is as close as I can get back to it in music and images. Rod

  • The 3-month effort to make the longer version of this film ended in a tragedy after my pc crashed. This effort, a make-do film is only to remind me that I tried making a long video in the past, in my small way. Lyrics, rendition, composition, arrangement, ovation guitar, Trinity Pro-X synth keyboard are all by yours truly. Thanks for bearing with me, and for watching a glimpse of my longer unrecovered film. ~glennB

  • For more infos about Gilda and Nik: Gilda Cordero's URL: http://www.filipinas.silverlensphoto.com/woman-08.htm / Nik Ricio's URL: http://www.antiqbook.com/boox/bookb/SEA-00301.shtml

  • Still photos by Nik Ricio, a fellow college mate at the UP School of Fine Arts '64, are super-imposed with the afternoon's video I took of the children playing at the open space across our house in Imus, Cavite, Philippines. The still photos were lifted from Gilda Cordero's book, "The Streets of Manila". I thank Gilda and Nik for allowing me to include some of the children's images in this short video experiment. Mabuhay and mga "Batang Pinoy" ~glenn
