I have to disagree with 1 part of the video the accessories, while 360 may have the keyboard for typing while playing online so does the ps3, and the same goes for the head set with the ps3 you can use any bluetooth head set you may already have the 360 you have to go buy Microsoft's headset. Not saying your wrong, I have both a ps3 and a 360 I jus wanted to point that out.

ps1 games do work for the 40gb, as i have several friends with that model and all are compatible with ps1 games. the only reason i got into this conversation is to really put the point across you buy the console which you want to, as i have already stated, i didn't get into this to have an argument with someone about something we know people will have different opinions on.

Man, the current gen consoles just came out a couple of years ago. Video game developers are still finding ways to fully utilize all of the PS3 and 360's features. There is no way their about to release another set of consoles, especially not Sony, who's not having the greatest success with this one.

Well actually the ps3 much more virtual memery than the 360 does. The PS3 cant handle fast paced games? There is no game released recently that wont run perfectly on the ps3, if COD4 is no indication. One of the designers at Rockstar has said (research it) that GTA was delayed due to less memery on the DVD drive the 360 uses, as opposed to the Blue-Ray, which gives them plenty of freedom. He also says that both consoles has their advantages and drawbacks and neither can be considered perfect.
Neither console is better and those are just distorted facts, obviously released by some 360 fanboys. The PS3 may have some coding problems and it does only use a portion of it's memery, but come on man, you sound like a fanboy right now. Also, 720p is as good, if not better than 1080i and 1080p will NOT be a huge difference from 1080i unless you have the equipment that I mentioned above. Actually i like all three. I really cant decide on just one. I own a 360, my little cousin has a wii so i play that often, and one of my best friends has the ps3, so I play all 3 regularly. I do plan on investing in my own ps3 in the near future and I might get the wii while im at it.

The hdmi now is not that much better than component video.. Maybe a tad, but not very noticeable. So if you want TRUE High Def. you will have to spend $5k+ on a tv and $8k+ on a home theater receiver plus speakers that are not your walmart specials.
There's more to high definition than what your console says it can do. If you don't have the tv and HT receiver that supports what your console does than you're basically downgrading.
HDMI 2.0 is where you will experience TRUE digital video at HIGH Definition, but only VERY expensive TVs will support HDMI2.0 and only EXTREMLY expensive home theater receivers will have HDMI2.0 switching or anything else to do with HDMI2.0..
They act as if it's a million times more powerful than the Xbox 360, but the way the ram, cpu and video card work in the ps3 is no good. (do research on that)

Actually AlligatorAl32 PS3 has 256 MB of system RAM plus 256 MB of video RAM which = 512 RAM . XBox 360 has 512 MB of shared RAM. Which means both systems have the same amount of RAM. I'm not being a Fanboy just wanted you to know. :) I got a PS3

I have an xbox 360 and have played a ps3. Out of the 2 the 360 is better. Ya ya, failure rate this, failure rate that. Yes, my 360 got the red rings, but I got a new one for free in less than 4 days. The ps3's online service is, in my opinion, crap. The whole icon based menu shit also sucks compared to how well organized the Xbox 360's dashboard is. The graphics are not as impressive as they try to make it look.
buddy it's not true about the failure rate, the xbox 360 has a 33% chance of failing, the ps3 has 0.2 % chance of failing for it's superior power, and the wii has no chance of failing (you're right about the wii)
It's probably like that now, but you have to understand this vid is about 3 to 4 months old. When i made this vid, the 360 was dangerously close to a 50% failure rate and the ps3 had a 6% failure rate, although the ps3's fr was not as publicized bcuz it wasnt nearly as high.
That many people just didnt have that many problem with them, if 1,000 ppl bought a ps3 from the same store only about 60 would have a problem, that's really not bad compared to the 360's averaged 400/1,000.

Yea, those diagrams are way out of date. They're not the only things though. Like for one, when I made this vid the core system was still the core system and the Arcade bundle was just a rumor. Now, ever since Dec, the arcade bundle replaced the core system.
I've been prompted to make an update to this vid, but I've been hearing about some big changes in the market, like for one, i hear Sony has cut production cost of the PS3's and there might be another price drop.

I go with the Wii, because; I love Nintendo, and have always done over anything else(almost), it re-hatches the old classics that were kings in the old days, it has lots of extra features such as Mii, Wi-Fi, chanels, and more. And also, peapole have for years been wanting to actually LIVE the games they play. And the Wii gives a slightly experience of that. And also, the Wii is the cheapest of all consoles. The two other are WAY to expensive. Especially the PS3!! And one more thing... BRAWL!!

Man, the current gen consoles just came out a couple of years ago. Video game developers are still finding ways to fully utilize all of the PS3 and 360's features. There is no way their about to release another set of consoles, especially not Sony, who's not having the greatest success with this one.
Just get a PS3 or 360 man. You'll have to look at the what each has to offer and decide for yourself which you want.

That's fine, but even the consoles before the PS1 had great games to play, I doubt gaming would've ever come this far if it weren't for Sega and Nintendo, I didn't want to get dragged into the console wars in the first place, but just because the PS3 has the best hardware overall doesn't mean the XBOX-360 sucks, I like the PS3 but not the PS1 and PS2.
The original xbox had both great games and the best graphics at the time, the fight between M$ and Sony will go on forever my friend.

ps3 aint rly the future, it can handle long games and great graphics, but it cant handle truly fast paced games due to the inefficent memory use, this shuld be upgraded on a future console,(maybe da white) where u will be able to switch the memory from blu ray to gaming, but thatd leave the current ones out dated

Well actually the ps3 much more virtual memery than the 360 does. The PS3 cant handle fast paced games? There is no game released recently that wont run perfectly on the ps3, if COD4 is no indication. One of the designers at Rockstar has said (research it) that GTA was delayed due to less memery on the DVD drive the 360 uses, as opposed to the Blue-Ray, which gives them plenty of freedom. He also says that both consoles has their advantages and drawbacks and neither can be considered perfect.

Cool vid dude but you said there was no game that showed the graphics power of the ps3, but what about Uncharted:Drake's Fortune? But still great vid... it didn't seem biased at all. 5 stars. :) All 3 rule but I prefer the PS3 its more of a entertainment center and it also helps to have the internet to do research in school and look up cheat codes, so the Playstation 3 is for me.

Also, 720p is as good, if not better than 1080i and 1080p will NOT be a huge difference from 1080i unless you have the equipment that I mentioned above. Actually i like all three. I really cant decide on just one. I own a 360, my little cousin has a wii so i play that often, and one of my best friends has the ps3, so I play all 3 regularly. I do plan on investing in my own ps3 in the near future and I might get the wii while im at it.
But yea they are all good. I wouldnt put the wii over the other two, but hey, that's just me. To each his own.

The hdmi now is not that much better than component video.. Maybe a tad, but not very noticeable. So if you want TRUE High Def. you will have to spend $5k+ on a tv and $8k+ on a home theater receiver plus speakers that are not your walmart specials.
There's more to high definition than what your console says it can do. If you don't have the tv and HT receiver that supports what your console does than you're basically downgrading.

Actually AlligatorAl32 PS3 has 256 MB of system RAM plus 256 MB of video RAM which = 512 RAM . XBox 360 has 512 MB of shared RAM. Which means both systems have the same amount of RAM. I'm not being a Fanboy just wanted you to know. :) I got a PS3

I have an xbox 360 and have played a ps3. Out of the 2 the 360 is better. Ya ya, failure rate this, failure rate that. Yes, my 360 got the red rings, but I got a new one for free in less than 4 days. The ps3's online service is, in my opinion, crap. The whole icon based menu shit also sucks compared to how well organized the Xbox 360's dashboard is. The graphics are not as impressive as they try to make it look.

It's probably like that now, but you have to understand this vid is about 3 to 4 months old. When i made this vid, the 360 was dangerously close to a 50% failure rate and the ps3 had a 6% failure rate, although the ps3's fr was not as publicized bcuz it wasnt nearly as high.
That many people just didnt have that many problem with them, if 1,000 ppl bought a ps3 from the same store only about 60 would have a problem, that's really not bad compared to the 360's averaged 400/1,000.

It really was unbiased, the only things are not correct are the diagrams, they are out-of-date.
You are true, Xbox360 is the present, Playstation 3 is the future - very near future I say. 2008 is the year of PS3 exclusives including PS Home, and now the price is comparable with Xbox360.

Yea, those diagrams are way out of date. They're not the only things though. Like for one, when I made this vid the core system was still the core system and the Arcade bundle was just a rumor. Now, ever since Dec, the arcade bundle replaced the core system.
I've been prompted to make an update to this vid, but I've been hearing about some big changes in the market, like for one, i hear Sony has cut production cost of the PS3's and there might be another price drop.

we have bioshock, mass effect, condemmed,orange box(which actually contains five full games inside of it), gears of war, halo 3, dead rising, rainbow six vegas, guitar hero 3, elder scrolls 4:oblivion, skate, dead or alive 4, the darkness, TC advanced warfighter 1 and 2, F.E.A.R, FEAR files, and i have not included many more. all these games sold very well...so dont say they suck just cause u say so.

go ahead and thumbs down all my comments, or tell me about how the 360 has rrd which is almost gone(buy an internal cooler). graphics are no ps3 grapghics, but graphics dont make the game. u can say its pricy, but u get more bang for ur buck. u can go all high tech on my ass and tell me all the technical details, but the truth is onboy and i mean nobody cares about the high tech crap(except u guys defending ur system). these r the facts read em and weep.

I go with the Wii, because; I love Nintendo, and have always done over anything else(almost), it re-hatches the old classics that were kings in the old days, it has lots of extra features such as Mii, Wi-Fi, chanels, and more. And also, peapole have for years been wanting to actually LIVE the games they play. And the Wii gives a slightly experience of that. And also, the Wii is the cheapest of all consoles. The two other are WAY to expensive. Especially the PS3!! And one more thing... BRAWL!!
