Seventh star i don't see how this can be a Sabbath album. That fact is it says featuring Toni Lommi that means solo. So this is not a true Sabbath album. It's a Tony solo album in truth.

I don´t really understand why people (Sabbath fans In general) hate this album so much. Cus imo, It has some really, really good songs (and riffs also for that matter) on It.

@theGaminggrounds i agree with you, i think this album is amazing. most people see sabbath as just the doomy first 5 or 6 albums with ozzy. which were great. but soo was the dio stuff and albums that came after that

@Stargazer91666 I have honestly never been like that. Im a very open minded person, I never judge a book by It´s cover and so on. If the music sounds good (or great even), Im totaly cool with It. And this my friend, sounds more then great.

@guitarbassplayer68 actually this is a Hughes/Iommi solo collaboration, the record company instructed Iommi to title it a Black Sabbath album in hopes of selling more copies

@jamirosmajicrocks Tony intended this to be his first solo album, but his record label pretty much forced him to release it is a Sabbath album. The result: "Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi" which is quite ridiculous. I'd say that's what caused this album to be overlooked; reception to Born Again wasn't so warm and the Black Sabbath brand was losing popularity by this point. I think it would have fared better as a Tony Iommi album.

@orgasmtron1 Tony Iommi wanted to release this as a solo album while his record company wanted it to be a 'Black Sabbath' album (for obvious commercial reasons). The absurd compromise was 'Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi'.

@Hopfolk No-ho-ho-ho-ho, NO. I just recently listened to the Forbidden album (which is the last one) and I enjoyed every second.

We all have our tastes, but Sabbath, like Deep Purple, has always surrounded itself with the best musicians and songwriters.

@Hopfolk Yeah. "Forbidden" was probably the worst one, because they only made it to complete the record contract hey had so they could get rid of Tony Martin and reunite the original lineup. but still, it was a pretty good album. I'm not sure Tony Iommi could create a bad album if he TRIED.
