I am all for medical marijuana. Honestly, why not let those who need it use it? It's been scientifically proven to help people with certain medical conditions. The vending machine aspect of it is pretty strange, but I guess if it's a convenient and still reliable then I don't see a problem with it.

1) do you have to live in america to get california medical marijuana? Can i Come from canada, say im living with a friend for a while, go to a clinic and say im haveing back spazms, migrains sleeping disorders etc?

Pot was originally used for making rope for ships. Hemp rope was made and sent to england for warships. use for smoking was around the 1920s or 1930s. and was sold as "fatima cigerettes" until it was illeaglized. Hemp rope was made until nylon rope was invented around the late 40s or 50s.

Benjamin Franklin did smoke for recreation. There is no sure-fire evidence that George Washington smoked it, but it is interesting in one of his journals he states that he has to separate the male and female plants. Also, I didnt say they were drug dealers, I said that the USA was built on selling drugs, regardless if they "knew" it was a drug, they grew and sold pot and opium.

You can look any of this up, just search, did George Washington grow marijuana. Do the same with Thomas Jefferson. Look up who invented NORML, (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) It was none other than Benjamin Franklin.

Are you kidding? that's what america was built on was drug dealing. George Washington had fields of pot, pot was a cash crop (and still is) but especially before it became illegal. Opium was another cash crop, which was grown right here in the USA by our forefathers. Drug dealing is a business nonetheless, a very lucrative one to boot. Ben franklin and his associates became rich off of pot. It's just something you hardly hear about because the government don't want you to hear about it.

Dude are you kidding? There are doctors over there that prescribe it for ANYTHING. Any excuse you tell them will qualify you for prescription for marijuana. Even erectile dysfunction will qualify you, I know this because I go to orange county every summer and smoke. Some doctors don't even need medical history and a few will "just prescribe" it because you want it. The doctors are making a killing for every prescription they write so they arent too worried about it.

I don't smoke it but I say it should be legal. One of the major reasons it's not is because it can't be easily taxed like tobacco can. Everyone knows it. Tobacco kills millions every year, but no studies have ever been done on sweet Marry Jane. Alchohole leads to hundereds of deaths every year but I don't think MJ does.
