  • i got my galah 3 days ago and it is a bit younger then ours, he came from a hollw, but he runs away from me when i go near him, and he will try his hardest not to eat from me. is yours used to you yet ???

  • well my bird as only one wing cut and never has accidents its better then letting have balance and fly away

  • my 3 month baby galah did the same thing on the first day even worse but now he loves me i go for 2 seconds and starts screaming now he knows to dance and whistles

  • yeah i agree you need to cut both wings so they get a balance so that they can glide down to ground from hight, you just need to cut it to an appropriate lenght and keep them cut when the feathers start growing

  • congrats your freaking him out by moving the camera back and forth really fast

  • I've had mine for just over a year. He only talks to me, dances etc but acts up at strangers. Screeches and bites to strange people. Only a few rare occasions he has spoken and taken to strangers. I was feeding him in front of somebody the other day, and he bit my thumb and wouldn't let go of it. I pulled it out the cage and he was still hanging onto it. That was a nasty bite. He never bites me, but was bothered by the people in the background..

  • I live in Greece and I paid 1500 Euro 6 years ago

  • i live in australia and paid nothing

  • i live in adelaide australia but i got mine from my dads friend and it dances, whisles, talks, and sings we got it for $100

  • I suppose being in australia definately keeps the price down. They go for a couple thou here in the US.

  • wow, thats crazy, theyre very smart birds, nothing compared to an african grey i presume though

  • Did you have both wings cut, if so, that is a no no.........they can still fly, because they are balanced(just have to flap faster)........cut only one wing, and they are right out of balance..........

  • thanks for the tip but i realized that after he flew away lol.

yeah i'l keep that in mind for my next one thanx

  • I have heard that only cutting one wing is very bad for them, like you said, they are right out of balance, and can affect them.

When they try to fly, they crash to the ground on one side, possibly hurting themselves badly. And having bad balance can affect the way they move about.

  • hi guys ur comments have been wonderful thank you

Wait 'till u see my latest Bebo lol :) he's amazing i'l post video's of him soon... he loves tea 4som reason lol

  • Aaw, sorry to hear he flew away...

My galah makes the same noise. He does it most when I give him healthy food he doesn't like. I think it's his way of letting me know he's not impressed XD

  • Looks like animatronics, kinda. I'm sorry to hear he flew away =[ that's sad

  • BAD NEWS :-( HIS GONE!!!!!! I dont have BEBO no more... he flew away (even though most of his feathers were clipped). He managed to gain momentom and fly to a tree and from then its history :'(

  • That happened to my cockatiel that I had. Wings were cut and everything--guess not enough. Beautiful bird Bebo is =) I actually wanna get a companion for my cockatoo and a Galah is actually one that I want really bad but they're just so expensive!

  • yea i live in adelaide Australia and there they cost about 100 to 150 dollars

  • @reimono Thats what you get for taking your Bird outside withought a harness. even birds that havebeen clipped can fly, especially if there is a gust of wind they can glide on.

  • wait till he hits aroung age 7-10

  • lol u should see him now, i can't live without him LOL

  • That's not temper, they hiss when they are afraid. But I'm sure he will grow to love you and you will have a cuddly baby in no time.

  • aww look at that spunkyness. hes definately not afraid of u! lol
