  • I would like to state that even in spiritual pursuits, there is hopefully a search for "truth", and any truth requires hard evidential facts to support it as such. There are distinct differences between a "belief", an "opinion", a "speculative theory", and a "truth", which is supported as such through hard evidence / "fact" or proof. All of these things are valid in "their own right". My intention is to simply keep all of these things in "proper perspective" in both my videos and my book.

  • @1010bree I don't know why people think I'm a skeptic? This brief video series is an "historical" account of development. Indeed over time, Cabalistic (Quaballistic etc…) associations have been placed on the cards. 22 paths + 10 Sephiroth = 33. As a Hermeticist / Rosicrucian philosopher, I'm familiar with all of this including Solomon's Temple pillars of Mercy and Severity (Binah & Jachin) etc..., but I know of no "hard evidence" supporting such existing in Egypt.

  • um there is a qaballah connection 33 trumps 33 paths on the tree also the pillars on the high priestess card, jachin and boaz, the j and b....also egypt supposedly had at leas two pillars with these engravings, regular cards hid occult meaning from the church who would kill you, also the astrological symbolism may even go back to sumeria pre-egypt as qaballah itself, why do you insist on "proof" as a skeptic why believe in divination? robert wang also wrote a book on qaballah and jungian symbols

  • Thank you again so much! Part 3 ( the modern era), which will be the final installment on the Tarot History series will also be uploaded soon.

  • Well this one really gets in depth. It also nicely connects Tarot divination with earlier forms of cartomancy. In fact, It might be good if the word "cartomancy" were used as a tag for this video. Well done.
