Depends I guess...I tweaked my back a little while back, so I have taken some time off on the squats/deads, so I have nothing better to do besides bench.
Man, I hope those weren't your third and final attempts in the meet, as you blew through them all like they were nothing, which means you left a ton of lbs on the table. At least 350+ on the bench, at least 660+ dead, and way more on the squat.
Congrat's on getting your first meet under your belt though...you are a better man than I in that regard. Keep it up!
Thanks man - it felt reasonably good for a weaker-feeling day while I recover from that max double with 395 lbs. Hopefully I can double 400 lbs relatively soon...
Ha, ha...thanks Laura. Back at ya...I really enjoy the diversity in your vid's these days too, in your exercises, music, and clothes...ha, ha. Keep it up!
I don't know about the next workout, but hopefully soon when my body feels ready for it. Still recovering from that heavy double with 395 lbs...no rush though.
This was kind of an active rest day with moderate intensity...so I am avoiding absolute efforts where possible. Otherwise, I won't recover and I will start to go backwards. Hopefully heavier weights to come...thanks for the comments.
Yeah, but I am old and have been benching for a long, long time. It's about time 400 lbs didn't feel like I was lifting a house! Good luck with your training...and thanks for the comments.
Thanks Mark. Not too sure...like I mentioned before, I am a fan of the heavy doubles as I feel it is much easier to recover from than an all out single. Although, this was definitely my max double at this stage. When I feel ready I will try to knock 410 lbs out of the way and go from there...no real rush though. I find I do better when I ease my way into it. You definetly need to try the bands that way too...I prefer them that way. Feels more like a real bench...
you are improving! are you gonna make any squatting/dunking videos again once?

amazing sir, do you sacrifice your deadlift and squat training to achieve this? I was thinking of doing this to blast my bench up
