although i like run dmc and eminem, i do think it seems a bit odd that run dmc was inducted in the ROCK N ROLL hall of fame, while artists like judas priest, iron maiden, motorhead, red hot chili peppers, and megadeth have yet to be inducted. there should be a hip hop hall of fame, pop hall of fame, country hall of fame, etc for the legendary artists of their respective genre, rather than excluding rock n roll legends by placing legendary artists of the wrong genre in it.

It's pretty cool to see rap/hip hop being included in the Rock n' Roll hall of fame. The music does use many samples form rock, especially Run DMC but also rap has a lot of the same ideals and emotive qualities tied to it.
