  • i think meta orange looks better

  • Ed The Ripper. Pilot for the sword Calamity.

  • This guy has a lot of YouTube money to spend on gundams!

  • like it but not da price

  • Titanium finish has metalic white, not silver.

  • i can buy a PG with 200 bucks rather than resin kit from neograde o_O

  • .......I looked at neograde.com......My thoughts,CRAZY PRICES!

  • I hope you never paid so much moneyDude :O

  • Hi how much did this conversion kit cost? On the NG website it lists a little under 200 DOLLARS???!!!?? i think its crazy! Thanks for your time and i would like your opinion.

  • Hi how much did this conversion kit cost? On the NG website it lists a little under 200 DOLLARS???!!!?? i think its crazy! Thanks for your time and i would like your opinion.

  • huh, i was kinda surprised to see that its using the freedoms inner frame^^

but anyway, it looks really great!

but why does that stuff have to be so expensive? ;_; and why do i have to be such a retard when it comes to paint XP

  • Sword Calamity is From one of the Seed MSV series...Astray if I can remember right...

  • it looks like a samurai with the metal armor

  • it looks like a samuri with the metal armor

  • thats a candy finish

    its too shiny

  • That doesn't look bad; is it much heavier?

  • And the resin kit I'm getting is only $70

  • I'm getting my resin kit and I dint know how to make it.

  • wow that is one epic lookin suit well done mithril is also the name of an group off ful metal panic thought ud be intrested

  • canu use the strike noir to make this?

  • so ur going 2 need the extra pieces from the MG freedom 2 build the sword calamity?

  • could a strike freedom work

  • holy crap! why is the conversion kit so expensive? $150 bucks? did you seriously pay that much for just a conversion kit?

  • @QuantumExia It's a resin conversion. Resin is a relatively cheap way to make a couple hundred copies of something, but the process of producing each copy is fairly labor-intensive... And the total number of copies produced tends to stay pretty low - hence, resin kits are expensive.

  • Can I buy this prime. Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I'll pay a high price. Plzz

  • WTF did you... brush paint it? :S

  • omg im so jelouse. i cant find these resin kits any where now

  • i read up on the suit and the anti ship swords double as laser guns[but i dont c the difference between a beam and laser]

  • maybe they make the big sword come off to make up for the shoulder beam boomerang things like maybe the dagger is what its supposed to look like

  • why don't bandai just release a master grade gundam kit instead of leting those money hungers rip us off. i love bandai, that brand totally worth my money. i would say its cheap for all those details comon man that armor cost me all my b -day money and bandai for 50-60 you can get a full armor, inner frame, acceries, and other great stuff but this thing cost you... Boy i can't even believe what i saw for 150 you can ge a PERFECT GRADE. Waaaaa damn that's one mother fucking price *just4thatshit*

  • @KiraYamato636 bandai does not have enough time to work on other MG projects as they apear to focus on the Real Grade and High Grades series. The conversion kits made by "money huggers" are designed by fans and smaller companies. By alternative parts for existing models, will take a lot of work and dedication. Therefore it price of the resin kit can be justified through the amount of work need to create these resin kits.

  • @RedGuards i know that's why it's 150 usd

  • @RedGuards if i got 200 dollars i won't buy this i woud buy a new or a second handed pg 00 raiser

  • nice i looks awsome

  • this gundam makez me wanna jizz lmao but i dont like da resin kit. may be u should of checked ebay or kijij

  • Maybe he likes to take his time and gut a mobile suit with the dagger. It looks kinda like a bowy knife.

  • does it have to be master grade freedom? will freedom strike work?

  • So if you want a calamity you need to buy two models?

  • @f0615388 basically you have to buy the ARMORS (which is the neo grade kit) and you also have to buy a BANDAI Freedon gundam just for the inner frame then combine the resin/conversion kit and the inner frame together besides you have to get your own paints for it. and you have to paint before you glue it. (which means spent more time and money) and you got the extra freedom armor that's going to be in your cabinets for years it would be a waste. remember the armor 150$ +s&h, freedom 50$ +S&H

  • I have created. Come see it

  • Comment removed

  • the daggers in the two giant antiwarship swordes are for when he is out of energy for the swords so he can still stab

  • I got 2 1/144 Sword Calamity (plastic conversion kits) left. They are the VERY RARE Hobby Japan ones. I'm selling them at $40 each, the boxes have a few small dents, and they come with the original region 2 DVD's. I got pics if anyone needs proof. I only accept paypal, so if anyone is interested in buying send me a private message.

  • How much u want it for? Plz I'll pay money. Plz.

  • what did you use? an airbrush or a paint brush? looks like the paint is very thick

  • c\n the cockpit open?

  • fucking nerds....

  • It's gundam reproduction organs! Bwahaha

  • I am currently in the lead in an atempt to but the 1/144 conversion for the calamity.

    here's hopeing :)

2:28 nice piece of information there.

this makes me feel so conflicted, I love making my gundams look grungy, but the more titanium finishes you do the more I am liking shiny gundams :(

  • ah neo grade are fucking awsome but THERE SO EXPENSIVE I WANTED THIS CONVERSTION KIT BUT 290 DOLLARS I WOULD RATHER BUY A PG BUT ITS SO AWSOME

  • @13DJX13 209 dollars?!?! holy schnikes batman

  • @BikerTrashWolf but the result of the products like the single gatling gun is worth it

  • Do you hand brush these? If so you do an amazing job and I think its more fun to hand paint a model then spray.

  • Well done prime! both on the review and the model

idk but this guy kinda reminds me of a transformer lol

  • r.i.d optimus prime?

  • interesting...I'd love to try out resin kits, considering my love for painting, but the price is a bit too high...not to mention you have to go out of your way to get another MG model to build it...and not even use all the parts for said MG model. You did a great job with this, Prime. The titanium finish thing looks a bit weird to me, as I perfer matte finishes, but you appear to LOVE clear and shiny things.

I'm astonished by the detail on the resin pieces though...

  • have you tried to use spray paint on any gundam?

  • it only appear in the seed vs astray

p.s mg wing gundam is out @1999.c0 jp

  • who produces these resin kits?

  • @dinobreaking Neograde. Check out their website and then cry at how expensive they are.

  • @Prime92 aren't these called conversion kit?????

  • @Prime92

damn. even accessories are expensive. my poor wallet

  • @Prime92 There's a recast by Super-G, cheaper but lower quality.

  • Too bad WHS doesn't have this resin kit in stock anymore.

I still want it but can't seem to find it.

    It looks good.

Altough I don't think it should be titanium collord.

Imo it should be somewhere between the Infinite justice and the sinanju. (yeah difficult to paint it like that I know)

But nevertheless you did a good job.

  • the shoulder handles are for the weird machete blade thing, not beam boomerrangs

  • oh and the beam boomerang too has a disame name

  • the sword calamity is a copy of the sword strike so the name of the anti shift sword and the grapling hook are pretty much disame names...

  • good job

  • nice! especially with 9:35, thats skill.

  • can you titanium finish any model cause i want to titanium finish a 1/144 scale calamity gundam

  • @NerosPhantom Ya, any model can be done with the same method I've used.

  • how about painting the green beams with neon fluorescent paint, then pose the kit near a blacklight ^^

    nice kite btw

  • Cool..

  • I honestly like da dis version of da calamity better than the original

  • so what kits from bandi do u need

  • WHere did you get this???

  • hav u ever thot tht matching matt colours with glossy/titanium colours look so much better than an entirely titanium finished set?? which reflects so much light n makes it look like a toy??

  • Prime go amazon you can buy cheap air brush there its better and will save you paint even more

  • nice work prim -jom

  • im considering a new camera to get and i love yours what is it called and about how much dollars US would it be?

  • sexy ass gundam :)

  • Some of the paint apps looked a bit too thick like on the head.

  • the anti ship swords also double as beam rifles

  • should enter 2old4toys's competetion, coz i found the colour scheme is really cool

  • man screw this sword calamity! looks so damn good!!!! now i want to get one!, but too bad i'm not... cuz i'm not gonna waste $75 for a gundam unless PG

  • Looks really awesome! nice job Prime

  • does anyone know which ova shorts it appeared in?

  • It looks like the Gundam version of Rodimus lol

  • @PRIME92 Also PRIME: Have you watched the OVA where it appears, The Blue Astray Frame one, it had a gimmick where the 2 anti-ship awords could combine into one, didn't the instructions said anything about it?

  • heyy prime do u play SD GUNDAM online? aka SDGO

    search it up ! ^-^

  • I LUV YOU PRIIIIIME :D

  • I think it would have looked better unpainted..dont get the wrong idea you did a good job

  • @xDemonfire How could it have looked better if it was all beige. Resin looks pretty sad unpainted.

  • @xDemonfire unpainted just looks like tan ..

  • i think tht the calamity would look better with a matte finish instead of titanium

  • Congrats on the partnership Prime

  • wild looking gundam Prime, well done!

  • i feel that the red is really dark i like the lighter red on the photos a lil more.but none the less this looks alright

  • you know... if its called the sword "calamity" dont you think u should build it with the calamity. what are you thinking bandai

  • hey prime how did you get your username in that form

  • nice

  • @xBIueMonday I....um.....what?

  • @Prime92 like sometimes when kits are painted... they look like they weren't painted(like if I had never seen the original colors before I would have never been able to tell it was painted kind of thing). I'm not sure if you know what I'm saying...

  • @Prime92

i think he means that he wished it came like that

  • @Prime92 it still looks WOUDERFUL you did awsome prime92 ^_^

Also does the dagger things fit into the shoulder things?

  • @Prime92 never mind him, it looks GREAT!!!!

  • @Prime92 Was the v fin on the regular calamity?

  • @xBIueMonday lol dumb comment dude

  • Why didn't you paint the joints and stuff as well? Seeing bare plastic and painted parts mixed together isn't the best.

And I believe this is called candy paints (or something), where you use clear paints over silver or something. 2Old4Toys/mokanaman mentioned something like this in their contest video. (Btw, just curious, are you entering? :P)

  • Looks nice but $150? Fuck that.

  • Wasnt it so that in the SEED universe physical weapons can pierce Phase shift, so maybe that is why it gets some real daggers as sidearms.

  • the paint job is beautiful, its like a battle damaged sword calamity. starting to love the model here..

  • awsome

  • FOr your shoulder beam thingy's... why don't you fill in the hole with putty so that it fits some other beams?

  • Who'd want a normal blade over a beam sword? XD

  • @gdfjb1993 maybe the suit is low on power like when the strike has to deactivate its PS armor at times?

  • a little more money and u couldve bought the PG 00 Raiser with that!!!!!!

  • @killxx I only paid about $75 for both the resin kit and the MG Freedom. If you can find the PG 00 Raiser for that much, let me know.

  • Whoa. Yeah, um, what else can I say? I wish I had skills like yours!

By the way, good idea for the little fins on the head.

  • one thing though where did you get that.....and at least you show the resin parts before you build...oh it's just me...btw nice review wishing BANDAI can create more mg's.

  • i would say this is metallic coating, not titanium finish, the titanium finish is actually glossier and is actually a chrome with a clear colour on top

  • you need to coat it in Tamiya TS-13 gloss coat spray to protect the paint and make it shinier.

  • wow the sword calamity really likes being reviewed :P

  • envious =[

  • Great work on the model!

  • did u use the ghd inner frame

  • it does look beast ... nice titanium color on it

  • Wait since Bandai just sewed TT Hongli,

Wouldn' they try to sew maker's of Resin Kit's,

If you think about it there doing the same exact thing TT Hongli was doing.

  • @silvias13ftw well i not really i guess cuz they do put in new extra parts of there own and u have to paint it ur self

  • @silvias13ftw The Resin Kit are usually kit that Bandai had never made ( like the Banshee, etc etc ) TT Hongli was selling copy of real kit made by Bandai

  • @KatsuhonoProduction Oh yea, That's right! Thx

  • @silvias13ftw

resin kits have been around for a VERY long time. bandai has little power over them because they are custom made add-on sets for bandai's kits, rather than actual copies of copyrighted kits.

  • @Yukikazehalo

Of course. It's been here forever. It's not like we're buying resins over bandai kits, its more like we're buying bandai kits to use resin kits.

  • @silvias13ftw Why would they sue Resin maunfacturers when bandai's kits are needed to make conversion kits. They actually help bandai sell kits

  • hello gundams fans this prime92

    i luv that phrase

    <<<<<3333

  • Very nice I've gotta say. No re-enact that final pose from the SEED MSV OVA by having it clash with the Blue Frame.

  • Calamity>Sword Calamity IMO The huge cannons are just badass

  • Badass!

  • it looks awesome! good job prime92!

  • OMG Looks nice

  • That looks awesoms!!!

  • that looks so sick!!!

  • Sword Calamity is piloted by Edward Harrelson aka Ripper Ed. Oh and cannon that Calamity Gundam has in both forms is shorter range version of the Scylla Cannon that Aegis Gundam had.

  • I won't lie that looks fucking awesome lol I want it XD

  • good job on this one prime!
