@n2striper I am a brand loyal kinda gear head myself I like Fords, Mopars, and the very rare Chevy, and I like seeing them with brand appropriate drive trains, but at the level that these guys race you have to understand that it is about what works best for the program. This is a Nitrous Car and a large cubic inch wedge is allot less sensitive. All I can tell you is that if you feel strongly enough about it, dig deep, and build one the way you think it should be done, and pull beside!

The car in the videos was running a 500ci Hemi the owner has switched to a big inch Chevy wedge, something more popular among the 10.5" crowd who run spray, these aren't really the kind of combinations you tune on a chassis dyno, if you take his race weigh and do a little math when you see his ET and Trap Speed. A conservative figure for these Nitrous combos is around to run in the 7.00 range at close to 200mph is between 1700-1800hp at 2800lbs 3000lbs give or take.
These guys all race in the "ONTARIO "STREET CAR ASSOCIATION" OSCA for short. It is an organisation for racers with street cars who want to race in a safe environment.
I had an opportunity to see this car run. Very impressive! Excellent car with an excellent crew! I don't think people realize the amount of MONEY and TALENT it takes to run a car of this caliber.

Most of the passes you see in the 2 videos I posted of this car are actually with a Liberty Bruno set up (5 speed). The owner made the switch later to the glide set up. If it wasn't a step forward with his program, he would have stayed with a stick. Nobody loves rowing through the gears more than him, he is an animal behind the wheel. Seeing this car in videos is one thing but up close in person it is just an un-be-fucking-lievable piece of machinery. Of course my opinion may be biased.
This video was really great...But, I would really like to see more videos without music...I want to hear the raw horsepower and tire ripping burnouts and power shifting and the throaty long duration cam motors idling at low rpm's. Some good quality audio would make a video twice as nice!!!

Being the guy looking at your Hemi 'Cuda convertible parked in your garage, entombed under 3-inch thick armored glass might give you a good feeling deep inside, but I'd rather be the deranged baboon hanging on for dear life on the steering wheel of something like this. you hit the nail right on the head! there are lots of people who spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on exotic cars that will post 0-60 numbers in the sub 4 second zone, these guys are hitting 60 in a second and over 200 in 6 and change! It is a rush to watch!

a hemi is not meant to be tame. is meant to be driven hard is the law of gods country. the name hemi would strike fear into every chevy guy. i had a feirly tame 70 challenger all street hemi low 11s at 138 mph. it did not hook up at all slow ass hole shot but that top end was awesome.

these cars are so modded that the only thing they have original is their chassis basically... i know these are competition cars but i would never do that to a Real Hemi Cuda, i would keep mine stock how it came out of the factory.

Thirdly as far as all original goes Amonst many cars in his collection, he happens to own an all original 1970 Hemi Cuda 4 speed car with original paint, and A 1970 hemi Challanger rag top, so I am sure he understand the value of both worlds.
Yes he does, OSCA E/Z STREET Championship in 2005, first to run Sevens in the class "NATURALLY ASPIRATED ( EZ STREET IS A NITROUS CLASS!), 2006 he was the first to run sixes in OSCA Super Street and is still currently the only Nitrous combination to do so, 2006 Canada's Fastest Street Car Shootout Super Street champion, most of the clips I used for this video were shot during testing, and it was cut together mid season before much of the rest of the races.

The European sports are so bulky. They got the top end speed and brake and turn good but the dead stop acceleration is nothing to a pro-stock or this boxy old cuda even. A street car won't beat a professional built racecar like this! They both have their coolness factor but rude brute machines are way cooler.

sorry to diapoint you, but to tell you the truth most of the crap I see these days that is called street racing is pretty fucking lame 13,14 and 15 second cars ripping around city steets like morons,..... please!!!!!! call me square but I would rather spend the weekend or a saturday at the track watching real fucking cars running 6's 7's and 8's in a properly opperated environment! Of course if you have something you would like to race for some money! Bring it!

no see the idiots that street race can brag shit there. I am not quite building my 240sx for drag racing but for grip racing. and those that hate imports can fuck themselves. Or You could just put a 528 Inch hemi and be just fine with all the 540 And 572 inch Boys just ad some fresh sqeeze and with the BULLET PROOF HEMI BOTTOM already there the rest is easy Just bring a broom so you can sweep up the Bowties you blow into the weeds...

these cars are so modded that the only thing they have original is their chassis basically... i know these are competition cars but i would never do that to a Real Hemi Cuda, i would keep mine stock how it came out of the factory.

Thirdly as far as all original goes Amonst many cars in his collection, he happens to own an all original 1970 Hemi Cuda 4 speed car with original paint, and A 1970 hemi Challanger rag top, so I am sure he understand the value of both worlds.

Yes he does, OSCA E/Z STREET Championship in 2005, first to run Sevens in the class "NATURALLY ASPIRATED ( EZ STREET IS A NITROUS CLASS!), 2006 he was the first to run sixes in OSCA Super Street and is still currently the only Nitrous combination to do so, 2006 Canada's Fastest Street Car Shootout Super Street champion, most of the clips I used for this video were shot during testing, and it was cut together mid season before much of the rest of the races.

The European sports are so bulky. They got the top end speed and brake and turn good but the dead stop acceleration is nothing to a pro-stock or this boxy old cuda even. A street car won't beat a professional built racecar like this! They both have their coolness factor but rude brute machines are way cooler.
