  • Looks like someone took my condom and attached a propeller behind it.

  • I am going to show my age..THIS BLIMP IS TOTALLY BITCHEN!!

    There enough said.

  • Going into a wind the nose will just swing round all the time. TYo fly into wind youll need the engine at the front. Or in reverse!

  • the downside of this design is that the thinner and longer you make it, the more material it takes to encase, say, 1 cubic foot of air. Nice job though! whats the scale speed?

  • Wow very impressive! It flies and handles so beautifully. I've never seen a airship ascend so sharply. either. Very cool!

  • very interesting work. but my money would say that heavier than air has the advantage in more windy conditions. correct me if i'm wrong.

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love to fly RC Airship?

    (2) Why do we want to design new airship in this "jet-age"?

    (3) What is the enjoyment to fly RC airship than an RC aeroplane?

    (4) Why do we like to draw beautiful planting on airship?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

P.S. You airship fly really fast.

  • Wow! It looks like long flying condom with RC!))

    I like it!

  • What is the speed it? Here.

  • In what wind-speed range is it operable? Has it batteries or operates on sun-light? RC range?

  • Thin film solar combined with efficient storage (lithium-air, ultracapacitor, something else?) could make electric power practical even for large scale lighter than air vehicles.

  • HAHA!!! a flying dildo!

  • very interesting... they look like a blast to fly!! i will have to visit the website!!! thanks for the video...

  • That is very cool. Nice work.

  • Hi I was thinking about making one could I ask you what its made of and how much they run. Thanks. O and Is there like a support system inside the blimp to hold it and the carriage together.

  • it looks like a flying submarine

  • Aren't there jet powered airships already? I remember seeing one on a documentry on Airships on Channel 4 in the UK years ago

  • Jet powered would be counter productive in that it would use so much fuel. One of the major ideas of airships would be to save and not use up fuel. However there might have been a one off type craft that someone had built. I keep up with lighter then air technology fairly well and haven't heard of one, however that doesn't mean there isn't one. Have heard of someone suggesting a hot air blimp useing a gas turbine engine for motion and heat of the envelope. But never heard one being built.

  • Why should it be counter productive

? I am sure it could work but it would mean using fuels and gaeses that got the airship industry in trouble before, actually no some fuels could be changed although its a pity that you couldn't use that new steam jet technlogy that was invented for outboard motors

  • Be interesting to check out anyway, have looked since my post and found an obscure reference to a Russian project that considered jets in the early 60's

  • Really candr? I will check it out thanks candr

  • Im sorry its a flying dick >_>;

  • thats so cool

  • it's a plane! It's a plastic bag! NO!, it's a giant penis!

  • Comment removed

  • can you tell me what material thats made

  • thats fuckin sweet!

  • Is a RC ?

  • depending on the fuel efficiency you could seriously sell that to the army as a recon. drone....well maybe not, how much does wind affect it? Is it semi rigid or just gas filled?

  • One day there will be jet powered airships.

  • airships would be awesome...

  • "One day there will be jet powered airships."

Let me guess, based on liquid hydrogen boosters?

  • That would be rockets

  • mog. that's awesome. NICE!

  • You could scare the shit out of someone with that thing.

  • That is pretty sick

  • Thats so awesome.

  • damn, brushless blimp = insane blimp

  • awesome, and very fast, i would love to see a piloted one, good job

  • that is damn cool. what is it made of?

  • That is so cool - exactly what I had imagined.

I think the potential for these could be huge in certain professions :-)

  • ...and that's how UFO sightings start lol

  • a flying missile...NICE i wan 1 too

  • Split S with an airship?!? Holy mackerel, there, Batman! I'm going to your web site right this instant.

  • Dude, that looks like an elephants condom. Are you from South Park?

    Good Work!

  • look dude, this aint funny. i want one. K? sooner rather than.. you know what forget that, i want one now!

  • this is really cool. it looks like a clear missle.

  • what did you say haha :)

  • Thats effin bad ass.

    Looks like a dildo too....(sorry).

  • Flying condom..

  • If you could silver the envelope, that'd be a great touch.

  • FRIGGIN FAST!!!

  • this thing kicks ass. im sure the builder can get a large sponsorship from trojan

  • Take from a old helium head that was amazing. What is your plans for this idea?

  • Hi Daniel.,where can I get the kit?????

  • Poor Rockey, missing out, probably shitting his pants anyway.

  • maybe its a bigger version

  • is it the shape, or the fact that its lighter than usual because of no frame?

  • All my airships are the same density as air, or what I call Light As Air (as opposed to the misnomer, "LTA"). The streamlined shape reduces friction, so the ship slips through the air rather than pushing it aside.

  • hehehehe good work mate

  • This particular ship wasn't going full speed the whole time in this clip. But it does about 34 mph, analyzed on a frame by frame count, moving perpendicular to the camera, opened up. I've made over 500 ships with many variations in shape and components, and anticipate I'll have one doing 60 sometime this year.

  • DEMAND this be sold on EBAY!!

  • i dont see how its going so "FAST" when its top speed was only about 10 mph lol.

  • whats the range on the radio?

  • It's bulletshaped, no wonder it's so fast :D

  • It seems a water "bottle" rocket filled with helium instead of air and water. Very clever!

  • That sure is interesting... Care to describe how it's made?

  • HOW MUCH???? I HAVE GOT TO HAVE ONE!! Ever thought of making it look like a Tomahawk missile? What fun that would be at the local R/C club field.

  • how long is that air ship? and were did you get that envelope? its beautiful! were can i buy one?
