some guy on my block has an early 40 series land cruiser. he pulled the engine like 2 maybe 3 years ago and hasn't put it back together. It doesn't have any rust and the original paint. It is so tempting to go try to make him sell it.

I loved land rovers . I own over 50 of them . I worked for land rover . I was even born in solihull where they are made . But I drive a toyota surf because I know it WILL get me home .....pete

I too like the Land Rovers but after taking one on a overland trip and it braking down in the worst places on earth I had to part for something more Reliable. Toyota was the answer at the time. Over 30,000 miles around Europe in a LandCruiser and the only thing that needed repairing was a broken shock absorber in Russia.

They might of been once, to the 200 series in the video if it continues to drive in dusty conditions its motor will be lucky to see past 100 000kms, the massive cyclonic filters they worked well and used to be fitted to most landcruisers are gone and replaced with something you'd find in a camry. They are city cars for picking up the kids and getting the shopping out bush they need a lot of maintenance to keep them going a shadow of a legend that never was.

@rigged100 i have had both toyota and land rover and in my opinion the land rover is better . i only had my toyota land cruiser for 2 months and it was useless so got my old land rover back. plus with the amount off offroading i do and i have been round most of europe in my landy and it has never let me down and i have done extreme offroading and the toyota doesnt compare.jap crap 4x4s

@88stan01 the best offroad 4x4 is the pajero its awsome it never breaks down ive hit lots of rocks underneath it and it never got a gas leak unlike the landrover and tourag any slightest hit underneath the car thats it you have to change the gas tank and for ur information japanese cars like toyota r the most reliable cars on the planets so get ur facts right :P

plus i suggest you stop watching top gear because jap motors ain't that reliable plus i believe the pajero is still using leaf springs? that technology nearly goes back to the stone age.so get your facts right

@88stan01 its obious u dont know nothing about cars or u dont live on r planet landrovers r crap n very very unreliable i dont care about what it has or doesnt have from my experience in 55 c of heat and crappy roads and offroading my pajero hasent broken down even once and my model is 2000 with about 400000 on its clock not only that my a/c cools down the car quickly while my friends and cousin had rangerovers and landrovers used to laugh at my car in 2008 with their brand new landrovers now

@boyishiyah at the end of the day i have had both landrover and Toyota and in my opinion the landrover is better. and as for being fired i don't think i could fire myself as i have god knows how many loyal and happy customers and am making a very sucessfull living from it.

as i have said before i have travelled round most of europe and my landy has never gone wrong.

iv traveled in my pajero around the middle east in really hot weather opposite to Europes cool weather
