  • "Warning turn down volume before watching!!"

Me: yeh yeh, whatever... (turns speakers up on full blast)

(Lucky star plays super loud out of nowhere)

Me: x.X ( falls outta my chair ) holy crapp!

  • @tweeniegirlz TuT I have warned you. I apologize.

  • omg so cute love this:)

  • @annyyaa thank you~ :3

  • *sitting watching the lap top screen* hmm i wanna learn Japanese *clicks on this video avoids the sighs* *music plays* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH*EARS BLEED* owwwiie someone should put a warning sign. DERP ROTFL

  • @cristianrockerchick Eh? Look at the TITLE! It's the first thing you 'have' to read before watching ANY video! XD

  • @arishachan777 Oh haha i did read it i just want to show, how an ignorant person would respond if they didn't read your signs :D

  • @cristianrockerchick Oh! yes, they do read comments more often than the title of the video haha :) That could also be a warning to them! :D Arigatou~

  • @arishachan777 Haha no problem. Btw i was using all these words in your video during school and my friend were like "awww!"

  • @cristianrockerchick aw, glad they all felt the love~ hahaha :3

  • @cristianrockerchick Lol yeah

  • @arishachan777 thanks!

  • @JustAGuy97 welcome!

  • Whats the name of the song that starts at 1:30?

  • @JustAGuy97 Hi! It's "To Zanarkand". Original Soundtrack of Final Fantasy X Rwritten by Uematsu.

  • i like the songs especially love so sweet

  • @msneaj23 You have good taste in music!. ;D

  • The people commenting to be helpful. GOOD.

The people commenting to be mean. BAD.

  • @TheWildPiper True! But I guess it's okay. I like their efforts to type such words. XD

  • "Anata ga inai to sabishii desu"

got it to: "you are less I lonly am"

could be a flaw with the dictonary I use...can't trust the internet...

"anata ga hitsuyou desu" You necessary are" can hitsuyou be used in no romantic content like: Death is necessary?

"Uso tsukanai desu" Can this be used as a way to tell teachers not to lie on youtube? or would that sound gay? you know if the teacher is a man?

Nice video! I hope I don't sound to critical. Just want to learn more an learn right..

    MVHH

  • @HarriHaffi Translating word per word is never accurate.

every language has different grammar rules, and if you're going to use the English grammar rules with Japanese vocabulary...hell will break lose.

you can can use the word hitsuyou in situations that are not romantic.

Uso tsukanai desu can also be used in situations that aren't romantic.

You can just say, "Uso tsukanai de" - more natural.

Do you mind if I ask what's with telling teachers not to lie on youtube?

  • @arishachan777 Yes offcours gramma rules differ, but it seems like "Anata ga inai to sabishii" is more romatic than I miss you...I fell lonly when you are less(near me) is a much more powerful romanticly...wouldn't you agree? Also the is the point of me wanting to learn japanese. The more I know the better...so knowing about the gramma would also help! :P

"Uso tsukanai desu": I think I was gonna use it to show of or something can't really remembre or maybe just as a prayer..

    MVHH

  • @HarriHaffi BTW, I appreciate all kinds of feedback on my videos, thank you so much for your comment~ :D

  • heart attack...

  • @kattowitz4 SORRY! I APOLOGIZE!! OMYGOODNESS, I tried to put an anotation but the music just shoots right off the first second of the video! I'M SO SORRY!!!

  • @kattowitz4 SORRY! I APOLOGIZE!! OMYGOODNESS, I tried to put an anotation but the music just shoots right off the first second of the video! I'M SO SORRY!!!

  • 愛してる = Ai shite ru

It mean, "Do you love me?" The proper way would be, "きみは愛して" or "大好"

"もっと愛します" would be "もっときみは愛して" or "もっと大好"

"好です" is actually "好よ" Because "です" means "Is, Are, Am"

"うつくしい" would be "きれいな" (All word ending in "Shii" are emotion!)

You make allot of mistake, but video been Uploaded in 2007 so Japanese change bit since then. Nice Video though! I'm come from Japan, sorry my English is awful!

  • @KokoroAiNeko Thank you for the response! :D

But I hear those phrases a lot from Japanese people -they also mean it like how it is translated in the video-. Gah. I'm confused now.

I guess your sentences are formal. I try to avoid it cause some say it's "ダサイ" that way. TuT Cheesy. But anyway, I'll add this to the description so they'll be notified~ Thank you again! :3

  • 友達になりたい。= I wanna be your friend.

  • @SilverGunZoO Oooh. Are you just giving more Japanese phrases or do you really want me to be your friend? :] Weee~ Then yay! I have a new friend! XD to random readers: that's

"Tomodachi ni naritai" to those who'll be asking how to read that haha.

  • @arishachan777 of course I wanna be friends, hugs ^O^V

  • @SilverGunZoO awesome! X3

  • FF9 music + accuracy = FAVORITE!~

  • @Dollqueen333 XD Awesome stuff piled up together! :]

  • LUCKY STAR! ;D

  • @TheEmilyAnneChannel Yes! Love Lucky Star! Represent!

  • In the phrase "suki desu"

Can you say "anata suki desu"?

  • @KastreraDkatt yes you can! omg, this is such a late reply. I'm sorry. TuT

  • for the phrasa "Hontou ni ai shimasu ka?"

can you change "Ai" to "Suki" so it is,

    "Hontou ni suki shimasu ka?"

  • @kittay1kittay Oh, no. I'd rather say, "Atashi no koto hontouni suki desu ka?" or you could just say, "Hontouni suki desu ka?" if it is understood that you're talking about you.

  • KAWAII

    ARASHI

    . jin kawaii

    btw thanks for sharing it!!

  • @akamekawaii You're welcome! Thanks for watching!

  • Wah! I thought the girl in the beginning was in the anime " My bride is a mermaid"?

  • @nickroliter It was in Lucky Star.

haha for some reason I find it embarrassing now, that I put all those anime gif/pics. XD

  • The Japanese is mostly correct, but it doesn't correspond to the translation in some of the cases. For example, how come that both 愛します and 愛しています are translated as "I love you"?

する is the root-form of the verb and is often used to talk about the future. Therefore, もっと愛します is more like "I will love you more".

The present progressive tense is ~ています, so 愛しています means "I love you".

  • @TheCrazyStudent Ah, I see. You're right. I'll add this in my description. I wasn't exactly being grammatically strict. TuT

  • Thanks for blowing my eardrums at the start there. >.<

  • @DepressedAnimeAddict I DEEPLY APOLOGIZE. TuT

and when you see su at the end the u is silent.

  • woah!!!i've got shock when i played this video...in high volume!!!xD well...you really help me a lot...arigatou gozaimasu arisha-chan^^...BTW...how about...i love you too how do i say it???thanks again...

  • Sorry, haha the music is too loud at the beginning. oh, "I love you too" is "atashi/boku mo, aishiteru" Literally means, "Me too, I love you" but, if one says, "aishiteru" or "suki desu" you can just say, "atashi/boku mo" that already means, "me too" again, atashi = females boku = males hope you get that. ^^ thank you for watching and leaving a comment! ^^
  • suuuoper

  • I know right? HAHA

  • YES! now i know MORE JAPANESE! ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!!

  • dou itashimashite!

I'm glad that my video had helped you~

  • well you say that we can replace 'watashi' with 'ore' or 'boku' if it it is a guy, but what do you say say if it is a girl you are speaking to? 'watashi'? and what do you say when you response to a girl?

  • Hmm...

If you are a guy, you should address yourself as "boku" or "ore" [ore is really rude, though]

'watashi' is ok, but it's a tid bit feminine. :)

Even if you're talking to a girl, it wouldn't change anything.

  • well i'm not sure if i've got it right, so i'm just gonna ask some more dumb questions... what if you are a girl, speaking to a girl, cause i relly didn't get al those different way of , well speak.

  • Comment removed

  • If you're a girl, whether you're talking to another girl or a dude

    "watashi" or "atashi" [informal]

is the proper way to address yourself.

If you're a dude, whether you are talking to a girl, or another guy, then "boku" or "ore" are the right terms.

These questions aren't dumb questions really, I get confused with these stuffs before.

It's good that we could clear these issues, you know! Thanks for reminding me~ ^^

  • thank you so much! i don't really know any one who can speak so it's wonderful that there's people on the internet that's ready to help:D LOVE Desirée

  • domo arigato gozaimasu...

    it helps me alot...

    hehehe....

  • how do you say:

    i love you to.

    moto sishiteru?

  • Moto aishiteru means, "I love you more"

    I love you too is

"atashi[for girls] boku[for guys] mo, aishiteru yo"

but... it's a little awkward to say that.
