Amo questo brano. Ascolto Genesis dai tempi della scuola media. Questo, come tanti altri loro brani, ma anche brani di altre fantastiche band (Pink Floyd, Yes....) resterà sempre attuale. Nessun'altra band oggi è in grado di far provare le stesse emozioni che ci hanno fatto provare le band che ho ricordato. Teniamo sempre aggiornati gli archivi per le generazioni futute. Questo brano, come tanti altri, non passerà mai nel dimenticatoio. Alla scomparsa di questi geni della musica saremo tristi!!

Wasn't this the B-side to Trick of the Tail? I loved this. It was on the duke box of a bar/club I frequented in the late 70s. An RAF base, Marham in Norfolk.

actually the song was written in early october 1975, and this recording took place on November 30th 1975. They held onto the recording and the track until TOTT album was finished in mid December 1975. I have over 10 different studio versions of this song. It was Tony who played with a bunch of different cords and the group could not agree on the first 3 minutes (Phil insisted the drums came in too late).

After Peter Gabriel left Genesis it would have been easy for the rest of the band to "call it a day " but they went on to produce two further classic albums in "Trick of the Tail" and "Wind and Wuthering". This still sounds as fresh as the day it was released 33 years ago.

This is fantastic reminds me of tracks off albums such as Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot. The instrumental in the middle is just magic and the way Steve Hackett plays it with his awesome tone. They did this on the 2007 tour and its one of the best tracks on the live DVD. Daryl pulls it off on the guitar as well!
