In Hartford Connecticut in the late 50s/early60s, we watched these things all the time. Johnny was to Tarzan what Sean Connery was to James Bond. The actors defined their roles....great fun. Every kid in Manchester Connecticut could do a convincing Tarzan yell....
The track that starts at 4.0 brings back so many happy memories of the Tarzan movies, with Big John, Maureen and Johnny. Do we know who wrote it? Or what orchestra is playing this? I'll always associate it with Weismullers Tarzan (the ONLY Tarzan) and those corny, politically incorrect (now) fun and exciting old B&W pics of my childhood. Thanks for the memories-
HEY, somone do you have a pic the jhonny weissmuller with juan neri in acapulco?, for a mistake that pic, sed a juan neri's sister and that lossed. if someone have a pic sed me at maestro_neri@yahoo.com.mx thanks
Johnny weissmuller was and will always be THE Tarzan, the movies were and are Classics, every Sat morning that was what I watched..and shirly temple..but Tarzan was the best, and always will be..to me anyway...EVER!
Thanks. Maybe my memory is scrambled, but it was a Lake amphibian plane, with a single "pusher" engine in the back of the fuselage. Or maybe it was a different show. Guess I'll never know.
@sheilatx It's been a few years ago now, but I have seen a DVD box set that had the first 4 or 5 movies in it, and they did a second volume as well. It really was a different era when these innocent adventures could be such a long running hit with the public.

Anyone know who wrote this score?
Sounds similar to Raymond Scott's "Powerhouse".

Johnny Weissmuller was born in Timisoara, Romania! Hahaha!
In 1904 Timisoara was part of Hungary, and Johnny Weismuller was a hungarian actor.
