This is not the "Invisible Fence" as I have one and there is no remote. Very poor labeling of the product and that is not how dogs are trained when a professional does it.
I have an electric fence for our dog and I absolutely love it. She gets to run our whole yard. It keeps her out of certain areas that we do not want her in. For the people who say it's inhuman , I strongly disagree. Keeping them on a tie out is. It took my dog getting shocked twice to stay away from areas that are off limits. Now she's free to roam. We still take her for walks. Only time she barks is when someone passes the house, then she stops.
I understand what you are doing this, but LoL, you already know what it is going to do, why would you do that to yourself, I am with your wife, laughing at you...LoL
Dogs whose yards are surrounded by electric fences may develop fear or aggression aimed at what they believe is the source of the shock (kids riding by on bikes, the mail carrier, the dog next door, etc.). Dogs have been known to run through electric fences when frightened by fireworks or chasing a squirrel and then be too scared to cross back through the barrier.
@MsLabMom Not to mention the fact that they create behavioural issues such as barking and territory problems. Dogs should not be sitting outside in the open like that- they get very little from it in terms of exercise and stimulation and quite frankly I think it makes owners stop walking their dogs. They're really a horrible training method and just a bad idea.
@sallygoeswaltzing My dogs don't bark, have behavior problems and they gets TONS of exercise from chasing each other around the yard. So your FACTS are not really that, are they. An invisible fence (which this guy is NOT demonstrating) is not a training method any more than a chain link fence is a training method. I agree, using a shock collar (which is what this guy has) to "train" a dog to do something is poor training. IF the dog is trained correctly he learns HE is in control, and avoids.

@TomGrendal racist. Thats what you are. Mexicans are not the only people who come to the USA illegaly. Thats a general stereotype. People like you get me so angry.
I really respect you guys for being serious about testing that before you put it on your animal. "some things are so serious that you have to laugh at them" lol
well, if you properly use it, any invisible fence will work, of course, you have to know and understand that they are for training purposes ONLY and not for using all the time your dog is out in the yard, I know by experience.
Eh. Some dogs are too prideful to learn. There's two large, powerful dogs that our neighbors own... They used to have that invisible fence thing. They ran through it. It only pissed them off more....
Trust me. Some dogs can -not- learn. I wish the fence -stayed-, because the dogs are at least a hundred pounds each, and packed with muscle. Though I can stare them down until they turn tail, it's not all that easy when you're on a bike.
What happens if the dog does get on the other side of the fence if it gets a running start and then doesn't want o cross the boarder again. I think I'll stick to real fences.
Yeah. That's a problem. Or they could just run and get pissed off at the nearest stranger because of the strange feeling in their neck. Like they did to me.
wow thats a very stupid set up..why the hell would you put the boundy in the middle of no where? unless your going to keep the flags there all the time how the hell are the dogs going to learn where not to cross? there is no landmark fo them to recognize, they will just be scared of going in that direction, giving them veyy little space, and thats a cheap know off not endores by the ASPCA
Invisible Fence is a brand name that doesn't sell remotes.. This is a shitty off brand. Most off brands are inhumane, the real invisible fence is endorsed by the ASPCA.
they should make a human version for all the people who are cruel to their pets.
