Wow. That brings back some memories. From recollection I actually saw this on BBC2 one Tuesday or Wednesday night as a teenager and went down to Woolies and bought it the same week.
i remember watching this on a tape that a mate of mine had years ago, class! a song you can relate to,i used to love subeuteo...and this song from a great album by a great band..sheer poetry!
I had this on video for year until it was stolen in a burglary - now I can see it again ! Thanks. I remember watching it on Whistle Test, they did Trumpton Riots as well I think. I saw them a few days after at Leeds Poly - marvellous.
Jesus, I didn't know there were any videos of them from this long ago, I'm in a state of shock! Nigel looks like the singer out of a Flock of Bunnymen or something . . .
My favourite HMHB song ever, they never got the recognition they totally deserved, Back in the DHSS again has to be one of the best LP's of all time.....
A dodgey transformer....winding that copper round that little bit on the transformer, both ways and on different ends and it was still a dodgey transformer, so you put it away and just looked at the cars. oh well.
It is spelt Dukla, I have been told this numerous times by people more pedantic than your good self but I refuse to correct my mistake, partly because it Irks The Purists and partly because I can't be arsed.
OMG ROTFLMAO !!!! - I haven't heard this song for at least 17 years !!!!! - Scary thing is that I still remember all (ok 95%) of the damn words - Thank you
Yeah, I know what you mean. You often get asked what your best gig ever was - I feel a bit uncomfortable telling people whove seen the stones in Hyde Park (etc etc) that the best I've seen was HMHB at Planet X in Liverpool. But there you go. Its never been bettered. And I've still got the T shirt somewhere.
Went to the Cheese and Grain gig in Frome last night. 28/02/07. First time they've been to my home town and they were fucking superb. Hope they make a return trip soon. Thanks Nige for a cracking gig!
Way to not spell it right - CHECK YOUR FACTS. Its JEWKLER Prague.
