Good vid. I'm trying to keep making it better. I talk to Gwydion a lot about that even though we're competitors. I use local botanicals and get variations because of that. We'll see if the ratings improve, but I have to make stuff I like.
I'll have to try Trillium next. I've had the Marteau and the St. George. I prefer the St. George, though most of the Absintheurs seem to find it too divergent. I really want something that pushes the other flavors more.
Nice video. This is not a very highly rated absinthe, though. Lucid is becoming common, and it's passable. The best I have had is from Jade Liqueurs - PF 1901. Imported from France. I hope someday it will be on local liquor shelves.
I mean, absinthe is a bit spendy, and if you want an authentic experience, you might as well get the best and that would be PF 1901.
So you've tried other kinds of Absinthe? do you consider this one a genuine absinthe? I live in Portland, OR and i'm really interested in trying something that's at least close to the real thing.
It pleases me, as a someone who is new to the green fairy and eager to try it, to see some serious vids on the subject and actual reviews for some of it's brands (rather than the typical vids made by stupid acting young adults taking shots of the drink or using that fake ritual with the flaming sugar cube).
Would this be a brand you'd recommend to someone who is new to the drink?

I really enjoy St. George as well, I like that is uses a brandy base, makes it really smooth

This isn't great, but you could do worse.
If you want really crappy, get the bottled assbinthe puke from Czechoslovakia.
Use it to gross out your friends.

by the way, with the way you have the camera and glass situated, it really looks like you're peeing in a glass.

If you're in Portland, get Marteau Absinthe de la Belle Époque, it's made by the founder of the Wormwood Society, Gwydion Stone.

Ok, I'll check it out. I saw they have several kinds at the local liquor store.
