kill a high level rathalos and cut tail thats a pretty good way to get it OR kill ae G rank it imporoves chances

ok on each armor peice has skill points, lets say 2 points for earplugs that means you need armor with 8 more points to actiate earplugs. you need 10 points for one skill to activate it, and most of the tim 15 and 20 for higher versions of the skill

and capture a rathalos dont kill it

To activate a skill armor you must have (some are different amount) 10 points of that skill in the armor with decorations or armor with that already has that skill.

as for Rathalos plate,kill one in High Rank, its really rare and i think you can only get it in Drop,Tail,and reward(not carving)

each armor part has a +something. If the total sum of all is 10 ar above the skill is activated. U can see the amount of points u have gathered from start-->status
