These women are dancing in open air with most of them sitting down. If you prefer this that is OK. The problem is when a society and or religion forces everyone to adhere to this rule. For myself, if I was female, I would never want to wear a hijab especially when doing a physical activity such as dancing.

These people are NOT Yemeni. That language and dance is not Arab. They are Ethiopians (habesh). I don't know if they are Muslim because there are a lot of Ethiopians that live in the Muslim world and they are Christians. They could just be dressed like that b/c they live there and its the rule. Even if they are Muslim, these habesha Muslims come from a non muslim society and most don't follow Islam properly.

Wearing hijab does not attack individuality. The Hijab protects a woman. But that ayah was introduced as: marry one, or 2, 3 or 4. this was in a time when men had 10 wives AND slave girls. it was sent as a limit, NOT as a reinforcement of polygamy. Women can dance and children can dance in Islam, it is not permissible for men to dance. That is sunnah. Young women can sing using a tambourine or drum at wedding celebrations and Eid days. NOT men. This is all sunnah my brothers and sisters, and only Allah can judge.Study for yourselves! What did you see of these women except their outer clothing?Nothing! If I came across as judgmental to non-Muslims I apologize. I was simply stating what is misunderstood in our own ranks as to the permisability of women dancing. These women are dancing in open air with most of them sitting down. Not the aerobic activity performed in a closed area on an overcrowded dance floor by supercharged humans ,usually intoxicated by substance of choice. Quite a difference. No , I have happiness that only God(Allah)can provide.

If you prefer this that is OK. The problem is when a society and or religion forces everyone to adhere to this rule. For myself, if I was female, I would never want to wear a hijab especially when doing a physical activity such as dancing.
For my own person experiences I have gotten dressed up for Halloween parties and danced. I would wear more clothing then otherwise, but still less then a hijab, and I was uncomfortable with the amount of sweat and heat.
