  • Stupid ending

  • It was only a matter of time before Tyson would've TKOd him, Richard Steele called it off a little too early, he should've waited a while, i.e. given Ruddock a few more seconds to see how he'd go...

  • Mike Tyson's a great fighter, but the problem was his foolish decisions and that fact that he allowed himself to be deceived and influenced by the wrong people. If it wasn't for that he'd be in my top 5, but because of that he's not, even though he's still in my top 10...

  • @truebeliever786 I agree with everything you said. Mike Tyson could have arguably been considered the greatest fighter of all times had he stayed with Roney.

  • @WillieBization 100% correct, I agree totally, because Rooney made him into a scientific fighter, who would attack at different angles, move his head and throw combinations and on top of that, he made him spar 10 rounds every day, 5 days a week and made him work our hard. The later moron trainers made him into a head-hunter and were too pussy to force him to train... They ruined him, but it was Tyson's own choice, he ruined himself. Under Rooney, he would've been #1...

  • @truebeliever786 Tyson did have one good trainer after Rooney (his name was Richie Giachetti), but it was too late for him to turn around Tyson's career. He had already started down the path of drugs and self-destruction, and like you say, it was hard for anyone, even Giachetti, to get him motivated half the time.

  • Did Richard Steele stop the fight too soon in Round 7? Without a doubt. But would Ruddock have survived the round and possibly won the fight later had Steele not stopped it? Only a fool would believe that. To me it's just a shame that he stopped it prematurely because it led to the totally unnecessary second fight. Tyson clearly showed he was the better fighter here. Steele lets this one go on a few more seconds, Tyson wins uncontroversially, and that's that, he moves on to his next bout.

  • @danning1 Though it is up to the ref, I believe a ref SHOULD give a man a chance to defend himself. I understand the ref has an obligation to the health of the fighters but these guys are professionals. They know how to handle themselves. Ruddick got rocked but he clearly remained fairly cognitive. I don't think he was in any danger yet. Every fighter is supposed to be given a chance to win, which didn't happen. Whatever. You are right, though. Tyson probably would've won anyway, lol.

  • on the 2nd knock dwn, Tyson hit Ruddock so hard he knocked a smile on his face....lol

  • @MrKINGWILL3 lol--I know, right?

  • 13:39 Ruddock's bowels give way

  • I remember watchingt his back in the day...Ruddock just seemed overwhelmed by the whole event

  • great fight and tyson was better

  • tough fight for richard steele. tyson doin some nasty stuff.. when he was young tyson showed controled aggression in the ring.. in this fight he shows undisciplined fury

  • tyson's body shots sound like someone throwing a medicine ball against a brick wall

  • The ref should of kept the fight the shit cunt! I wanted to the see the killer ko

  • mike tyson is a pretty good fighter

  • too soon for boxing is all i have to say. if you see a dude wobbling and laying on the ropes like a broken ironing board what chance do you think the dude has against mike tyson?

too soon for boxing, that's all it was...normally the ref allows the down player to get beat down to the ground to stop the fight.

the two players hugged, they were fine with it...yet the stupid ass spectators call for blood...but the spectator is the BITCH sitting in the stands.

    funny isn't it?

  • THAT WAS SO STUPID OF THE REF WTF

  • Richard Steel is a FRAUD!! Horrible ref!! This is part of the reason Boxing is dying, Sellouts and Promoters!

  • 40 Ws, 36 KOs, thats 90 % KO.

  • Richard steel is a piece of shot anyway. Never forget the Taylor fight he gave away. Fukin stupid piece of shit bastard.

  • @AMGRULEZ Steele made the correct call, idiot.Taylor didn't answer when he was asked TWICE. Get a clue.

  • Just heard about the death in the Russian match over the weekend and watched fight onlilne. After watching that and then this fight, it's probably a good thing Steele stopped the fight, although i'm sure the crowd (and myself) would have loved to see it continue for 5 more secs and see him get knocked down.

  • Haha richard steel just strolling about watching everyone in the ring getting irate

  • not a bad call rudduck literally had a arm over the rope hangin on it woulda been 2 more hits and he would have had brain damage

  • why did they spark a brawl?

  • Have to admit tyson in his prime would be tough to beat but I would have loved to see lewis and tyson fighting in their prime.

  • i love how the end of the 6th round is cut out of the vid, whoever did that is as biased as the ref was.

  • I think Lennox Lewis proved that Ruddock was a fluke

  • @godfather71190 Uhh to prove that Ruddock was a Fluke TYSON would have to do with Lennox did.

Ruddock wasn't a cake walk for Tyson either time, and this fight should have gone on.

  • @Aphoresis styles make fights. tyson knocked out guys in round 1 who went 12 rounds with holyfield and lewis etc..

  • @Kadadfi99 good videos better than parts

  • well, Rudock is good fighter if he can stand against Mike , and refs decision is ok

  • Iron Mike Tyson my favorite fighter of all time! I'm still and always will be fully convinced that "prime Mike Tyson" is undefeatable! Most fierce and entertaining fighter too! Biggest heart and most courageous as well! There's a reason why he's still one of the most talked about and controversial fighters in history, and why he's on a nintendo game called "Mike Tyson's Punch-out", and why he was the most feared fighter to go up against, need I mention more?

  • That being said, I think the root cause of these symptoms of decline if you will, is mostly the mental focus, which is affected by his personal life. He seems a bit too overconfident and underestimating at times, whereas in his first few years he was that humble kid fighting at least every month and more so the first year, working his butt off and working with real managers and trainers who actually cared about him and knew how to help him be disciplined and win. But who am I to judge?

  • Actually I take back my remark about the beanie, I'm pretty sure the baddest man on the planet can wear whatever the hell he wants lol. But still, watching all his fights in chronological order from fight #1, he's slowly but surely changing and evolving, in some ways improving sure but in other ways it seems like more of forgetting to do this skill and use that tactic that was once mastered here a little and there a little, almost unnoticeable unless you watch them consecutively.

  • What was with the beanie, what happened to "Iron Mike", and where are all his dodging and weaving and counter combinations that he crafted to perfection, etc.? One thing after another, slowly but surely is how his demise came I think. Still, I've never seen a more fierce, powerful, quick, intimidating, and fearless fighter than Iron Mike!!!

  • This is when Tyson wasent with Kevin right? I notice Tyson didnt move his head and didnt counter punch. He also didnt punch in bunches. Just 1 to 2 punches at a time. Either way I love this fight. Tyson looked mean and ready to do damage. remind me of the classic 1920 fights. Were it was up close and brutal.

  • R.I.P Cus D'amato - Died Nov. 4th 1985

    Legendary trainer and gentleman. R.I.P

  • Not a good stoppage to a great fight, I think there is a good chance Tyson would've knocked Ruddock out before the round ended but no reason to stop it at that point. I would've loved to see this version of Tyson vs Holyfield

  • @bonecrusherevans i agree... Ruddock was in deep trouble, but the stoppage at that point was bullshit. Ref's just anticipated Tyson KO's so easily, they were quick to end the fight.

  • love mike he brought anger n tension to the ring and all out entertainment how can people not like the fighter who cares what he does in his personal life his choice really isnt it who wants to watch a regulation fight wen theres action like this what the sport really needs is another tyson

  • You can see Tyson's skills starting to diminished in this fight..He was no longer throwing combinations to the body, and he clinching way too much

  • @tom11zz884 Tyson peaked in 1988,once he dumped Rooney and Cayton, the Tyson of old became just a memory,he just wanted to knock people out with one punch, completely neglected the body attack and his head and upperbody movement were gone, too bad since he developed and mastered the precise blend of skills for a man of his size and built.

  • "Mighty Mike Tyson" Gay

  • Thats freaking richard steel for you people

  • Thank you!

  • Richard Steele, the Dangerous Danny Davis of boxing.

  • 3:36 was nuts! That jab snapped Ruddock's head so hard it almost hit his back. Can't believe that didn't stun him or anything. Getting your neck bent like that reeeaalllly hurts.
