In that case, Good Luck, and if you get in I hope you do indeed enjoy it. You seem to have a good attitude for the job - love it. Hope your friends can help with the interview, stay positive throughout it:)
@4wheeltundra - aw thankyou :) Im a very positive person, so hopefully that will be an advantage. Theres nothing worse that a miserable cabin crew member lol. Yeah, they have given me a few tips, so fingers crossed. Thanks x
@xhappysmileyx are you 18? that's young for this job. Probably still 3 interviews to get through. You work lots of night flights on little sleep as pick up down route is usually middle of night. Ex LA is middle of afternoon ( hope you can nap well).Requires huge stamina, patience and hard work. ( looks easier than it is believe me).You will often fly west then east then west= huge time changes. Little time off. Mostly night stops these days. Expect medical emergencies, drunks, abuse. Good luck
@4wheeltundra Yeah I am 18, and I do realise what I am getting myself into. My friends work with British Airways also and Ive already spoken with them. I have experience working with customers and ive qualified with college and Virgin atlantic training.
I understand the perks and the disadvantaged of the job and I can handle anything that this job has to throw at me.
@4wheeltundra Geez you are such an encouraging person. I don't mean to be rude..I am a BA cabin crew and I honestly absolutely love this job...one of the best decision I've ever made...one thing new cabin crew need is support and encouragement...no need to put them off like you just did.
This is great! I have wanted to work for BA since I was 6, hope to apply as soon as they recruit! One note at 3:07, that is not BA, but even so its a smart uniform! Great Videos! take care
When Willie Walsh became CEO and the airline became a low cost set up and then the ugly, filfthy, smelly people like you started to fly and then complain when you don't get a bag of peanuts included in your £50 fare.
I have read quite a lot of your juvenile, nasty and semi-literate comments and cannot believe that a great company like British Airways would have selected someone of your mentality as an employee.
The airline would never collapse that is why with all the disaster stories of privatisation(and they are many) the government holds the gold share, it has to. A good example of this was National Express east coast mainline now state owned once more.
@Johnnyhungarian It was the best when Lord King was chairman, he and Sir Colin Marshall ( as he was then) really cared about their staff and their passengers. They were actually interested in what everyone thought, everyone loved them, and everyone was proud of the company and did their best for them. Sad it has changed so much :(
If BA dies good airline etiquette dies with it also a major symbol representing Britain also. I would love to see as slim chance as it would if ba went into receivership god forbid I would hope uk gov would get a rescue package to save what partly what Britain presents like it how wide diversity of how many backgrounds of a wide diversity of staff and crew ba has working for them now. If this symbol of Britain dies it will be gone forever and it will never reappear not as ba again anyway.
its a similar story with the majority of the european flag carriers, for example if Aer Lingus, BA or Alitalia went bust then its a significant blow to Ireland, Britain or Italy
I loved the uniforms at the beginning I remember the uniform from 1.46 very well when I flew with ba from manchester to paris and back again many yrs ago in early 90's and also flew free too thanks to rotary international and French gov. for hosting the visit too also I was 16 at the time too plus I had first proper booze in france too so I say merci to the French for letting taste the strong stuff too. good times good times
Come to think of it but i dont mean to be horrible or anything but i do think that British Airways will go bust if they carry on the way there going???!.
One word for BA cabin crew atm. No i have several. Greedy. Self-absorbed. oh and TWATS comes to mind! be grateful you even have a job and congrats on running peoples Christmas! selfish!
All their selfish actions have done is speed up the death of BA...
... When missed pension payments are factored in, BA's not made a profit in decades - they're loosing £2m a day and have £3.7bn pension debt.
But I'll shed no tear. Bye bye BA.
Bet those cabin crew will learn the hard way that those 'terrible' pay & conditions which has caused them to ruin christmas for 1million people will look pretty good compared to their next job- if they're able to get one.
@flyer92ify really? they reported record losses only 9 months ago ... and this financial year hasn't ended but has only had 1 quarter of profit so far - and that was before tax and non-existent pensions contributions.
But more importantly than profits, I hope they start to treat their customers properly again - after bad experience after bad experience I've learnt to fly smart and avoid like plague.... and hearing about how the cabin crew are throwing their toys around again I'm glad I have.
BA cabin staff get £30k a year!! No real education required. Virgin cabin crew get 14k a year.... lets see.
The way the BA cabin staff cheered at the strike shows they are all retards. Be grateful for earning so much money for a non-degree job!!!! And get the hell back to work you losers!!
Great video! I like British Airways a lot - especially their highly trained and professional cabin crew. Very attentive, well groomed and always approachable. How can "atfatw" write such a horrible comment. Wouldn´t want him as a passenger on one of my flights in Germany...
english flight attendants are the stupidest lazyest ugliest bimbos on earth. they are really great at only one thing spilling drinks all over the customer
I can honestly say that every time I have flown on BA back home to London, the crew were fantastic, I had no problems, always got my luggage, and was treated very well. When i flew for TW, I used to fly into LHR sometimes. When I had time off, I would take BA on Non rev or a discount, and as I said, the service was great!!!!!
Luke, don't give up your dreams! You made a fantastic video! Well done!
they say there one of the world's greatest airlines but they seem to have problems with there fleet of aircraft and baggage handerlers at terminal 5 at heathrow!.
They have ruined the flower duet, this mix is terrible.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do people want to be a flight attendants?
(2) Why do jobs related to aviation considered to be more professional?
(3) Why do we love being in the sky?
(4) How does being a flight attentdent benefit to our personal life?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
