you shouldnt buy fish (oscars specfically) marked as "blueberry" or "rasberry" because they are just albinos that have been injected with dyes which normally ware off in a month or two, cruel in a way

I have a 6 inch Tiger Oscar,4 inch jack dempsey,and a 6 inch algae eater.Everytime the Algae eater is eating off the gravel,the Tiger Oscar is trying to get him out of his territory,but the Algae eater wont take shit from anyone in the tank,its quite funny to see that.Overall they get along fine.

there is no such thing as a blueberry oscar. thats a tiger thats been stripped of its slime and dipped in blue dye. i learned this the hard way. do not buy ''color named '' oscars as its cruel to the fish. i have an albino they called a blueberry and it did the same thing. when mine was 2 inches he ate a fantail guppy that was over an inch long. took all night to swallow it.

I had an oscar a few years ago and the same thing happened. Woke up one morning and it had a silver dollar fish hanging out of its mouth. once it realised it was too big to eat he just spat it out and it swam around like nothing happened. I love those crasy oscars!!!

Aw that sucks....Was that a peco? Plecos are GREAT fish to have with the Oscar's. DAMN dirty though.... they crap like champs.

Did you get him out? I'd be really pissed. I had to corral my Oscar and manually pull my Common Plec out at one point . Yer guy seems a bit too small...Smaller plecs will be food if they're less than 3 inches compared to those O's. The bigger ones are armored and really only have to worry about the Oscar's eating their eyes.

south america chiclids are fun and they get pretty big... oscars ,jack dempsys , green severums , firemouths convicks ... or if you want somthing argressive you could get afican chilids but they can only be in the tank with other aferican chiclids ... but if i had that big of a tank i would go get help and make a salt water tank ... harder to take care of an harder to know what fish to get but alot cooler fish ... hope this helps sorry about the spelling

This is an Albino Oscar I suppose, but i read on Internet these kinds of Oscars (some like gray or light purple) are called Blueberry Oscars, I have one of this and on the petstore they sell it like Albino, so, is the same fish anyway, or it's different to the Albino?

okay, wat happend was is you oscar probably died if you didnt take action. the oscar fish is known to eat any other fish that fits in its mouth. The fish decided to eat the alge eater and when he was doing so, the spines got stuck in its throat. if he tried to push it bak out, it would sink the spines further in causing more pain. To take action, you should pick the oscar out of the water and using a pair of scissors, cut the spines off the smaller fish. then pull out the fish gently with care.

Its a good idea to get a large common pleco with oscars. Socialization means little its a fish not a German Shepard!As soon as the Oscar gets big enough he will eat it!! Oscars are not aggressive but will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. Get your pleco much larger then the oscar because the oscar will grow very fast and eat the pleco once it outgrows it.
