@Bublefan65 george michael is almost 50. buble is in his mid 30s and sings crooner covers -- he rarely has to belt it. buble doesn't even sing the high note on the cd version of his cover of this song because he knows he can't pull it off live. zip it.

Not the best of his performances. I guess time and age do take a toll on singers too.

But it must be a great feeling to find out that the audience knows your song by heart....and sing along.

Michael sings this song with much greater feeling in the unpretentious black & white video on the column to the right..

On that video George conveys the feeling that he is performing ( he plays the guitar ) in a cabaret scene of a "film noir'. In my opinion it is his best performance ever.

No rapport at all! I no likee. 1:18 to 1:25 he uses several notes he recently borrowed from Cher. I never thought I'd say this, but (especially when he does his straining face) he's starting to look like Louie Armstrong!

Maybe this is not as good as his performance on the record, which is superb anyway and way better than buble's. A fair comparison would be that one to Buble's and then let's see who wins (Don't forget Buble is much younger than G. M.). In addition to that, George Michael happens to be the songwriter. Period.

(I am italian) Anyway i do think george has got a richer voice as time goes by, and even though there are some high notes he will never hit anymore live, his voice still remains one of the clearest voice in music industry.

to andrenassife: George didn't go totally off key in that part. Obviously u are not a singer and u don't know how to avoid big notes singing them another way but still in key. He just didnt go for the high notes, maybe he was not in full shape that night.

I have to agree! Only a truly talented performer would avoid the original recording and go an octave lower to make the performance outstanding! What would we remember more, him off key with a crack or doing a beautiful octave lower? I thought the performance was outstanding!

Still has a voice like velvet. A little disappointing that he didn't try to hit the high note on "There's something there/that can't compare" part of the song. That's my favorite part.
