don't buy it. even if you like sonic dont buy this game. this game is short. i finished the story mode in 2 hours and i was not playing for reals. it will take you a day to finish the rest of the missions. it will get boring after that. just rent the game if you want to play it like i did.
I am probably make some people mad but I recognize the tune faintly as if it was partially in an older sonic game before. The first 5 seconds sound like Green Hill zone. The best sonic games ever made were Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, and Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Nothin' beats the old school.

almost every 3d sonic after the adventure remakes has kinda sucked just do to 1 or 2 smoall mistakes. eg: shadow__ spent to long finding ammo,unleashed__werehog missions repetative and to frequent compared to the apearence of daytime missions,7 rings__ crontrols were just a little clunky, i havent played next gen sonic so i cant complain

I disagree, have you SEEN Sonic's new homing attack? He uses a buzz-saw manouver in mid air, that is to say he still does the classic homing attack, except while holding onto his sword so it spins wildly with him.
And they're not taking away the spin-dash either...So it's not like its not Sonic at all.
Personally, i like these new sonic games. i mean thats why nintendo is still making DS games of sonic, IE sonic rush. and psp sonic reviles.
I mean do you really expect a non-handheld system to go oldschool sonic with 2-d leveling and stuffs? they're doing fine with the DS titles.

Just a question, is Sonic Unleashed on the Wii version the exact same as the PS2 version? If it's the same version then why buy the Wii version when the PS2 version if they are exact the same. (besides the controllers) The PS2 version is cheaper then the Wii version.
Huh yes there is a difference for all systems. Ps2 is basic stuff. 360 version has more stuff same as the ps3(?) graphics are better and the town exploring stuffs.

With button mashing do you mean like, when Sonic is in the air and you have to press like different button commands to get somewhere high? If you mean that, then there is button mashing commands you have to do in the Wii version also.
No, not that, like when you wanna use the boost you have to shake your wii mote and for homing attack. for the warehog stages you fight by swinging the wii mote for the combos, different comobs for when one you swing first and how early you end the chain by swinging both.
Well on the Wii the controls are similar to secret rings however the nunchuck is used to move as it allow players to go back to things they missed rather then being on rails. and also the levels are slightly different (e.g. on the Wii i've completed Apotos but have never played the level in the 360 demo.)
Wii is a none graphic casual game with sorry sonic games on it! Thats why people wonder why its only $249!! Because of what you get and what games come out that are chidlish the only decent game is SSMB and Sonic and the Secret Rings! And futher more Lykos the storyline is going to be like Sonic The Hedgehog for the ps3 and Xbox 360! Save the girl!

SOnic the hedgehog(360) was a HORRIBLE Game, loading times were unbearable, the programmers tried TOOOOOOOOO Hard with trying to make things fast and their shitty engine couldn't do it, only stages that were half fun were the sprinting sections.

The controls where messy on the 360, sure it looked a bit better and had an extra town visiting thing like SA1 (sonic adventure1) but still ended up crappy.
I'd say the WII has done a GREAT job with making sonic games true to his roots, FAST and FUN. Sonic and the secret rings was great! Sonic in brawl was the icing on cake that made it Oooooh sooo much sweeter (not that i wouldn't have gotten brawl if sonic wasn't in it) and Sonic unleashed for the Wii was amazing, silly at times but WAY better then Sonic(360), only thing it was missing was more Hedgehog levels, trust me when i say THATS THE ONLY MAIN FAULT.

as far as the sonic songs go, this one was very good in sound, but I thought it felt just a bit too short.
most of the sonic game songs are 3 to four minutes long when they had lyrics. this was the runt of the pack.

I don't hate mario, but when sonic gets a spinoff game people who aren't true sonic fans bitch how stupid it is. i loved playing all sonic games thus far, only sonic game that i can say i hate... is Sonic 06 (the 360)
The xbox 360 has really screwed up sonics image with that horrible game and making sonic unleashed for the 360 sooo much more shittier(MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE) then the wii.

I disagree, have you SEEN Sonic's new homing attack? He uses a buzz-saw manouver in mid air, that is to say he still does the classic homing attack, except while holding onto his sword so it spins wildly with him.
And they're not taking away the spin-dash either...So it's not like its not Sonic at all.

Personally, i like these new sonic games. i mean thats why nintendo is still making DS games of sonic, IE sonic rush. and psp sonic reviles.
I mean do you really expect a non-handheld system to go oldschool sonic with 2-d leveling and stuffs? they're doing fine with the DS titles.
Just give it some time, its gonna take a few trys for nintendo to get the grove how to make great sonic games... after all Sega was mastermind of those games.

Looks like he got tired of being f-smashed by Ike, blendered by Meta-Knight, and cut by the rest of the sword cast in Brawl.
Now waiting for the rest of the Brawl cast to start using swords

Ike is too slow to pwn sonic =P maybe get lucky shots but sonics too fast for ike.
meta-knights attacks are too weak, sonics just gotta deal damage faster.
only one that can give sonic trouble is toon-link and marth.

Just a question, is Sonic Unleashed on the Wii version the exact same as the PS2 version? If it's the same version then why buy the Wii version when the PS2 version if they are exact the same. (besides the controllers) The PS2 version is cheaper then the Wii version.

Huh yes there is a difference for all systems. Ps2 is basic stuff. 360 version has more stuff same as the ps3(?) graphics are better and the town exploring stuffs.
The wii is the best one in my eyes, the inter-action you get with it is quite fun. your actually playing and not button mashing like the ps2/3/360

With button mashing do you mean like, when Sonic is in the air and you have to press like different button commands to get somewhere high? If you mean that, then there is button mashing commands you have to do in the Wii version also.

No, not that, like when you wanna use the boost you have to shake your wii mote and for homing attack. for the warehog stages you fight by swinging the wii mote for the combos, different comobs for when one you swing first and how early you end the chain by swinging both.

I rather play the Wii version with the Gamecube controller. But I think it's easier playing was Werehog in the PS2 version when you fight.

But the Wii is all about the interactivity with the games, like playing sonic and the secret rings with a GC controller wouldn't feel the same.
its great to have choices on what style to play, but i think Sonic atSR and unleashed are best played with the wii mote/knunchuck.

Well on the Wii the controls are similar to secret rings however the nunchuck is used to move as it allow players to go back to things they missed rather then being on rails. and also the levels are slightly different (e.g. on the Wii i've completed Apotos but have never played the level in the 360 demo.)

Wii is a none graphic casual game with sorry sonic games on it! Thats why people wonder why its only $249!! Because of what you get and what games come out that are chidlish the only decent game is SSMB and Sonic and the Secret Rings! And futher more Lykos the storyline is going to be like Sonic The Hedgehog for the ps3 and Xbox 360! Save the girl!

lol dunno if you haven't noticed but the 360 is only 200 bucks now o.O; cheaper then the wii, The only thing your paying more for is MORE harddrive. which doesn't count for the system itself.
360 System=$200
360 Harddrives $90-$180
Wii: 250
PS3:who cares? ps3 has had crap games thus far besides gta4 and mgs4.
anyways i think its safe to say recent sonic games have been less then amazing, but true sonic fans, we still buy em and love em for a time.
i think the 360 fucked sonic up <__<;

SOnic the hedgehog(360) was a HORRIBLE Game, loading times were unbearable, the programmers tried TOOOOOOOOO Hard with trying to make things fast and their shitty engine couldn't do it, only stages that were half fun were the sprinting sections.
Sonic Unleashed 360 did JUST as horrible
(360 Getting a 3.5? on gamespot VS Wii's 7.5.)
The controls where messy on the 360, sure it looked a bit better and had an extra town visiting thing like SA1 (sonic adventure1) but still ended up crappy.

I'd say the WII has done a GREAT job with making sonic games true to his roots, FAST and FUN. Sonic and the secret rings was great! Sonic in brawl was the icing on cake that made it Oooooh sooo much sweeter (not that i wouldn't have gotten brawl if sonic wasn't in it) and Sonic unleashed for the Wii was amazing, silly at times but WAY better then Sonic(360), only thing it was missing was more Hedgehog levels, trust me when i say THATS THE ONLY MAIN FAULT.

Yes love em for a time, meaning the games we play for the story of the game, like um.. Sonic the hedgehog(360) wasn't that great a game but i played it for the story.
Heroes, Shadow the hedgehog, ect. games that aren't that good but we still buy em cause we're sonic fans ^__^;
