@TragicDefect00 its a different lead singer. pressure the hinge is Stephen Keech and he is the current screamer/lead vocal. the older albums was jimmy ryan. who left due to unkown reasons and he started a new band called trenches

@TragicDefect00 the heaviness in his voice could just be because of the way their music has changed over time. If you listen to the band August Burns Red, a song from 2007 compared to one from 2009 may sound like a completely different band, and what you're talking about could be the same situation. Also, the band may have just wanted to experiment with more of an edge to that album than to any of the others. It could be either of these.
