  • Wish I woulda known about disc golf when I lived in St. Louis. Looks like they have nice courses. I'm in Jeff City, MO now and Binder is the shit, but I'd still like to make it up there next spring or summer.

  • that hair is sick!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why did they lay up on the second hole? It seemed like a pretty straight shot.

  • @gamergeek3000 The video and graphic of the hole doesn't do this hole justice. It's long and extremely tight and if you get off of the fairway even a couple of feet, you're in jail. Most pros throw midrange off the tee and midrange to the basket to make sure they keep it in the fairway. Last year a kid on my card (advanced division) took a 9 there.

  • @mattloyd11 yeah I didn't read the graphic the firs time I watched this: 428 feet.

  • im amazed at the hate but again this is youtube. I have always wanted to try this and i live about 1.5 miles from a really nice course here in festus. I saw a couple guys doing this today and one gave me a disc...very nice folks i think im going to go buy a few more and give it a go

  • As soon as I saw the first guy standing in the trees trying to throw out onto the course I busted out laughing. They even have bags and towels to wipe off their discs! LOL!

  • @GBev2K so is regular golf that funny to you too? everything you just described happens in ball golf too. just substitute a golf ball for a frisbee...

  • @utube1430 Yes I do actually. Golf is pretty ridiculous. Especially how seriously they take it. But when you see the same seriousness replaced with a frisbee it looks even more hysterical.

  • This actually looks pretty fun lol

  • they think there so hardcore

  • fudge packers

  • Nikko Locastro is from Saint Louis, Missouri and Endicott happens to be his 1 of his favorite courses and he is ranked #1 in the world. He is my nemesis only a couple years older than me. I want to beat him one day. And another star player that isn't really noticed name Corey Uhle from Saint Louis. Who just recently turned the same age as me and ten times way better than me and up there with Nikko.

  • what a boring sport. i cant believe people enjoy this. throw frisbee and people clap

  • @beefcow2009 Try playing it. I guarantee you won't think it's boring once you play.

  • I really do love disc golf, but I'm amazed that no matter what course you go to, you'll find a guy with dreads or a fro. In this case there's both.

  • Why is everyone throwing the back hand throw, I do the fore arm arm throw, is there any better way?

  • @litledevel15

The majority of pros are dominantly backhand. backhand and forehand throws have their advantages, and while there are some pros that are predominantly forehand backhand is generally considered the throw with higher potential.

  • I am surprised the pro's don't use the "thumber and skooby" on a regular basis they are such good tools. I should really consider playing more cause I think I can compete with these guys if not beat them. Dreamer :)

  • not sure I would like this course too much, the fairways are a little tight for me.

  • They are par 4's? we all play three's where we are at, and have holes that are well over 400 and through tight trees, i would like to give the course a try.

  • @Mustanglover1202

I lived in Oregon and played in and around Portland and have to say there are some challenging courses there as there are in Flagstaff. Dead straight accuracy and timing are key in any game where the fairways are like bowling lanes meaning little room for error :)

  • @yetibiker08 too be a little bit more specific, we have 4 holes that are over 500. and i hear ya those sound like some cool courses, putting is where its at and how you save strokes. drive for show put for doe ;)

  • @Mustanglover1202

I have been playing on and off during these past 2 years and my rotator cuff was injured during a bike commute home 8months ago. My game has never been the same since. I recently had some awesome drives with a forehand over 500ft but lucked out with a slight downhill run. I love this game and last week got a 120ft put with the scooby what an awesome layup, put, throw this is guys check it out.

  • @Mustanglover1202 yeah, just like real golf

  • My competition...

  • This video makes me proud to be a st. louis disc golfer!!! lol

  • this video makes me feel a lot better about the fact that on every hole it seems that i'm in the trees

  • @mdtm16 Dude, I live in the trees.

  • AWESOME This shit is legit! Lovin it man. keep up the production!

    nice socks/shin guards haha

  • whats a good distance disc that stays straight? anyone?

  • @onlyeyesabove Discraft Z Stalker

  • fudge packers

  • love the graphics

  • these guys are terribad!

  • Where in St. Louis is this?

  • @Iamsmack

Endicott Park, a half mile from St. Charles Rock Road and I-170.

  • haha 1:52 was poison ivy haha *Disc Golf Claps*

  • that locastro dude's hair makes me wanna punch him in the face. idk why : ((

  • I would destroy them on my home course. I would eat their crap holes like calamari. I would bend them over like dogs.

  • Hole #7 at Endicott is actually really challenging, probably the toughest of the front 9. I felt really good when I got it in 5, but then again I suck. I'd expect a pro to get 3 or 4, though 3 really takes some serious skill.

Interesting how these holes are listed as par 4 because if you go to that park today, all 18 holes are listed as par 3.

  • i would love to see you out there and compete with these guys

  • these guys blow, bogeys on 445 feet hole?

  • Is it me or all these guys stoners??

  • @GotGame3636 Most of the player are

  • stop the damn violence okay? people all have their own opinions!!!!

also... someone should tell locastro that that thing he puts in his hair to keep it out of his eyes is very much what females use.

  • Why do people have to slam on somebody when they are doing something they enjoy??Disc golf is fun and harder than people think!!!!

  • i agree...its alot harder than it looks....ive been playing since december and havent got that first ace yet....but i have come very close...on the 17th i get 2 go to tampa florida....has anyone been to any of the tampa disc golf parks?

  • Ive been to a few in Clearwater next door. I recommend Cliff Stevens and Taylor in Largo.

  • @dapfury lol....clearwater is actually where i stayed....i got to go to coachmans crossing....not a bad course.....except for that fucking creek where i saw at least 4 people loose their discs.....id love to go back there with a rake...

  • Endicott all day motherfuckers!

P.S. i feel ya metal priest but.... fuck california im sick of hearing bout california and how fucking hard they are, come down to california? fuck that shit nigger come down to st louis and watch us chop your ass up and throw you in the Mississippi. real talk son

    fuck california......

  • okay fuck it then....i stick up for a sport which is starting 2 become a way of life to me and i get blasted for it ....i guess u enjoy assholes saying disc golf is for pussies....i try to stick up 4 every1 who loves this sport and yall wanna shit in my mouth...let me try another approach....come anywhere im at wether it be russia california yugoslavia mississippi amsterdam or anywhere and slam frisbee golf....okay now is that better?

  • abcd....YOU SUCK DONKEY NUTS come over to nor cal and talk your stupid shit...BITCH

  • you should go die right now..your embarassing to the disc golf trade

  • if you would pay attention to what i said,numbnuts....i was sticking up for disc golf against someone who said disc golf was a terrible copy of real golf and also its norcal as in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA..not north carolina...it really sucks ass that you would stick up for some douche who said any moron could throw a goddamn disc....you need to READ whats being said....seems to me youre kind of a retard ...fucking dumbass

  • these are the best in the buiness..you think you could beat them..yeah right. Faggot.

  • I have met Lacasrto, he is a really nice guy, and he is for sure better than you and me. I hope to be on the same level as him someday, although my years are against me, Have some fuckin respect for the best you fuckin asshole.

  • Listen up Dick Head, fuck your North Carolina. don't you think there is a reason I am watching videos of them and not you?.Because you are not that good. Does not take a scientist to figure that out.. Have fun with you 9 over par.

  • and btw who the fuck is lacastro that i supposedly dissed on?im new to disc golf and im not gonna lie and say im real good at it but i think im doing okay being that at worse case scenario i get par...i thank god that the people i meet at the disc golf course here arent total assholes like you seem to be...i happen to love this sport alot and i was sticking up for it....are you one of those regular golf lovers?

  • @oscodaposse just like i thought.....nothing to say...from now on know whats being said instead of jumping to conclusions.....it may just save u from a bullet or an ass beating in the real world

  • umm......... why are you dissing on n.c, i"ve lived here all my life and it hosts some of the greatest disc golf courses on the freakin planet so shut ur mouth and let it be.

  • great vid, love the fact that it's not destroyed by music. natural sounds of the course are far more interesting.

  • also if i am correct discus was around long before "proper" golf. so STFU and go play your faggot sport of "proper" golf

  • yo abc if you kind of think about all they did was merge discus and golf to make a more interesting sport and btw normal golf is a faggot prep sport while disk golf is more of a cheap public fun for the family sport so before you try to call the creator a moron think about the diffrence dumbshit.

  • watch out....i bashed on this asshole and 2 people totally took up for him

  • @abcd2008efgh2008 its scored the same as golf you fucking idiot... its a very complex and challenging sport, don't talk shit about something you don't know about.

  • obviously you've never played you sound like a dumb yuppy bastard. Get out and play you judgemental piece of shiet.

  • nice video. interesting looking course. would love to play it.

  • nikko needs to cut that stupid fuckin hair of his.

  • putting looks like a real challenge. i've never thrown a frisbee that didn't draw or cut by at least a few yards. is it possible to throw a disc "straight"? are people friendly about giving pointers, or are they like golfers who tend to be very rude about giving and receiving instruction?

  • DG definitley has a MUCH shorter learning curve, thus there are tons and tons of am players and very few pros. But there are also a hoard of am players who can play like top pros some days and play like pretty poorly other days. Those who are disciplined enough and have a positive attitude about themselves end up winning round after round. Most players will give you pointers and most pros will too, we WANT better players because we love the challenge. BRING IT!

  • I just started playing, and people have been very forward with pointers at the public courses near my home (metro Atlanta, Georgia).

In general it's not really possible to have a disc go dead straight the duration of its flight, since it loses spin before it lands. Different discs behave differently when thrown with more or less spin. Putters are designed to be able to be thrown straight at short distances, but if you tried to drive one it would veer off badly (probably start to roll, too).

  • I live in Columbus Ga, I know a lot of players from Atlanta and you're right, most of the locals there aren't too bad about giving advice. There are some pricks, especially at Redan and White Oak but generally, I like playing with and at all the courses around Atlanta.

  • @theestrogenius

putting is what separates the good players from the great players. I've seen some guys that really don't have the biggest arm and can't get that much distance, but are deadly putters and can stay in games.

Yes you can throw a disc straight. People are usually very friendly about giving pointers unless it's a tourney and they are very focused.

  • @theestrogenius putting can be tough and yes its possible to throw straight.its all about how you throw it . And .....No Ive played for almost 3 years now and have never met anyone who wasnt willing to give tips and help me out , its all in good fun , it may get competitive but its always in good fun

  • Every disc fly's differently. I prefer over-stable discs which means they will not stay straight even if you throw it perfectly straight IE Champion Orc. The Sidewinder is probably the most popular and straight flying disc, try that one for starters. To your second question, Assholes exist everywhere, with that said disc golf is in the spirit of fun more than business, or making connections, and being flashy so most people are pretty cool. as long as you don't razz their game.

  • this looks like a fun game. too bad I've spent ten years learning to hit the little white ball. what's the learning curve like for disc golf? anybody here made the effort to learn both games? i think i'd get really pissed off in the beginning because my expectations would be too high for myself. id' be thinking "i could probably hit that metal pole with a golf ball in fewer strokes than with a frisbee"

  • @theestrogenius I can play both games and most pro's love golf. But the learning curve depends on you. If you have the mental game from golf, than that is a plus. If you know how hard to hit the ball to go to 100 yards,110 and 120 with the same club, than that is a plus.

Most of the time, it will take you a year to throw a disc where you want it to go BUT the main thing is: practice your ass off as much as you can. But no green fees and discs are pretty cheap.

  • disc golf is an easy game to get good at fast. I've been playing a week and have already shot 6 under, and that was through 9 holes. It was too dark to finish my round. Bottom line, try it because is reallllly FUN! btw, I've been playing golf my whole life as well :)

  • @theestrogenius ive been playing this game for 10 years it is alot of technique and know what disk to use and what type of throw

  • disk gold is harder then it looks, but its one of those games where its easy to learn but difficult to master. regardless, its a very fun game =) AND very inexpensive, most disk golf courses are free. the only cost is the cost of the disk which range from $7 - $30 or more, depending.

  • That just a stupid comment. Try picking your fights.

  • Way to judge a book by it's cover.

  • *Disc golf claps*

  • there needs to be more videos like these! my favorite thing to do next to play disc golf, is watch people play it. haha

  • Really nice work with these videos, these kinds of graphics (minimap) combined with two HD cameras (tee, fairway) would be awesome! Wish there was more of this stuff!!

  • Barry Schultz is hands down my favorite player in the game today.

  • mine 2

  • minimap is awesome

  • That does not look like a fun course, its a DISC EATING JUNGLE!

  • Yeah, looks like a dirt road with concrete pads and baskets.

  • The mini-map in the video is dope though!

  • great videos man

  • Barry is the Roc master.

    Nikko is a diva.

  • Barry Schultz is going to teach the kids how to play.

  • great video. the minimap showing shot placements is money.

  • bravo, sir

  • I like the map of each hole with the dots. That was helpful.

  • Nice video Jay.
