yes yes the 80s defined it all. the clothes the scene this music n so much like it! it never happened again.. like lightning .. the best times of my life
Profound advice sent to you in a song. "If we lose the time before us, the future will ingore us" hmm where do you find beautiful, meaningful lyric like this presented in an uplifting delivery today. Answer: doesn't exist. lady gaga is telling you she's the best slut. snoop dog is telling you to smoke more bongs, be lazy and do fuck all. All the other 201X pop stars are as shit as their sleeved tatood arms. Tuff now come late 30's "oops I think I fucked up. I was born in 69 and feel blessed
God! I feel alive again. I almost forgot how good music used to sound. Yes there was a time you'd listen to a song, correction many songs and the overwheling feeling of your spirit lifting would take you up and make you feel great just listening to music like this. The thousands of genuine talented hits by artists before the times of internet existed, free downloading mania and easy accessiblity has killed it off straight after a near fatal blow of 90's grunge. never forget you awesome 80's
@69wkidd Wow that's weird! I just heard this song in a drugstore yesterday and it took me awhile to remember who it was. Definitely brings back memories.
Notice that the music of the 1980s were predominately about love. Even the heavy metal groups, country&pop sang awesome songs about love. Take the love and the life out of the music and what you get is a bunch of angry& and depressive lyrics. I am not going to ONLY attack rap b/c it is in ALL of the music today. The lyrics¬es are rehashed, the meaning is disconnected. Every singer has to "look" a certain way to mimic true talent simply b/c of looks. That is why the talent of music has ended.
From the days when pop musicians were professionally trained and proficent in their instruments.
Now you only need to put a couple of beats together on a computer mixer, make a loop and talk some shit on top of it, ha! ain't it funny how music has evolved?
OMG!!! WOHOOOO!! I have been looking for this band for years!! I was in primary school and fell in love with the lead singers skill on the Bass Guitar!!! WOHOOO I can finally blast to my hearts content!! THANK YOU!!! all the way from NZ!!!!
@tjmarkert@tjmarkert So true! We need compassion & love & freedom to love &THAT is WHERE that music reflects from. Listen to the lyrics and review how things were. People have become increasingly greedy& even MORE shallow than ever before. Creativity comes from love & freedom & not the greed that has eclisped us. Sure there was greediness, THEN, but it has worsened SO much that we want what we had. We never knew what we know now and so those times were different. The comparison is astounding.
@2patero Nothing was plastic in those days. People actually knew how to sing, to write, to reach for something. As I said, the music REFLECTS who we were & how we lived. People took chances with one another. People felt that humanity was a value and that each of us had something to offer no matter the size. Every 25 years you will see the devolving of humanity on every level IF we return to wisdom or add to wisdom the love that we need to return to.
This has everything to do with why music & films& talent is so different now. Folks want to get rich fast, everyone thinks they know how to sing, ideas are stolen from one another, no appreciation for what is good. Just envy&greed. If folks were not so envious & desired to destroy what is beautiful & real, then we would have had more of this type of music and freedom. Music producers today have destroyed true talent by stealing& cheating art& talent, so folks keep what is great to themselves.
@kittyscratchesboo Amen to that! I agree with everything your saying! Lets hope that up cycle starts soon! The way the music and entertainment industry is today makes you wonder if these are the end time signs Nostradamus was talking about, when all you have to do to be a star is wear next nothing, know a few cuss words and be proficient on auto-tune well nuff sed! Lol
ÉSTE TEMA ERA EL QUE UTILIZABAN EL LA LARGADA DE TAROT EN FLORES (LUEGO SE VENIA UNA NOCHE DE GATITURRAS) ALLÁ POR EL 85/86, (HOY EL POBRE ESTÁ ABANDONADO O YA DEMOLIDO Y EN SU PUERTA LA SALIDA DEL SUBTE A) SNIFF SE ME PIANTA UN LAGRIMÓN .(BOLICHES EN EL RECUEEERRDOOOOO).Jajaja
I was 15 at that time. I could get tired eating my favorite food but I will never get tired listening to their songs over and over again. They are one of the best in the 80s when the original four was together. Simply love all their tunes.
@mmerifield Another thumbs up for your comment. It is a damned shame too. The music industry is a difficult one because of all of the politics behind everything today. Everything is controlled to cause people to regard one another a certain way. It keeps people down& and not as cheerful. So many things are ruled by the politics of control. It's heartbreaking and it is why we yearn for these times to return. If we had the music we enjoyed THEN, people would act differently than being so shitty.

we never lived
