They're made in increments of 36. 18ft. 9ft. 4.5ft. The length of the antenna likes to be proportional to the wavelenth of the radio frequency. In this case CB is 11 meters which is around 36 ft. Not trying to argue, just some facts. Nice truck, by the way.

I put 40 series on mine too but it doesnt sound loud it sounds almost the same as when it had the stcok muffler

I found a good performance bost is to put headers on them. I know thats true with any moter but the 300 realy seams to respond well I have a set for mine by Clifford performance but I was never able to get them to work. The gaskets keep blowing so I ended up putting a two piece stock manifold on it. Its a 88 and I was not able to get to the bolts to keep them torqued right. The large over the valve cover intake was always in the way.

they are stock ford alloys availible on xlt trucks and broncos, they are made by alcoa but just for these fords they also fit dodges can find em at your local junkyard

no 5.0's are great motors, but I think 4.9's are better pickup motors. more torque, good for towing, hauling, and off roading, and they last forever. but if it's real speed you want, get a 302.

i have a 200 straight six in my 67 mustang and it has incredible torque and gets about 23 miles to the gallon. not sure if thats typical but im pretty happy with the straight sixes. someday i want to put a 300 in my stang but im poor as hell. lol. someday.

my 89 4.9 got between 10-30 mpg. its always surprising me. 400k miles and still going strong, it deserves some upgrades.

Gas mileage aint bad at all. Buddy's got a 302 and i can out pull him and take longer freeway trips. i got 213000 on my 91 4x4 and its still a charmer. not a thing wrong with it!
