this is wonderful, my in law's who love the WALTONS seen it first on the show played by Jason, who is a very good musician, not sure his real name though, but I really enjoyed this video, so much that my husband is trying to learn it on his uke for his dad who is 75 years old
Now I would stop dead in my tracks and burst into spontaneous applause after the last note, if you want to know the truth. Been in that lobby a million times in my life, and that's the first time I've heard someone serenade the Grand Dame of Eureka....
well you can decide that for yourself, but this isn't it. bluegrass features 5-string banjos. those are tenor banjos. and Home is more of an old jazz song.
i'm not trying to be mean. no need to give my comment a thumbs down.
I count this as one of the finest popular songs of the 20th century, and you fellows did right by it. A heartfelt performance with the tempo just right. The people walking thru that lobby missed out if they did not stop for a listen. Thank you for posting!

what would be REALLY cool, is if these guys appeared at the end of "The Shining" and sang the song. :)

This style fits the Crescent so well. Nicely done. Hope one of these days I will be in Eureka when the rally is going on. Keep it up.
