You mean Linus, right? If I had a choice to see people at a convention, I'd personally like to see Mati Aharoni from the BackTrack team (some people might know him from WHAX and Metasploit). Security Penetration is a hot topic and has also tested many security problems with any software we have ever used. I do agree that I wouldn't want speakers that have been to every conference to speak...it gets boring.

Hey Chris I would possibly recommend Ian Murdock who started the Gnu/Linux Debian distro. Which many of the new Linux distros are based on now. Ian now works at Sun trying to Open up the Solaris os. Could be an interesting discussion given the way Debian is structured to remain completely "free" distro while Ian is now working at Sun.

Gnomedex Europe would be kick-ass. Travelling from Sweden to Seattle would cost me $3000 + hotel. Which is a lot more than I can afford. I'm not supported by a company, I'm just trying to start off something independent with a very narrow budget. I think Gnomedex would help me out. Maybe wrong conference in terms of money, but making a name for yourself just by using a blog is cheaper and an experience soon to be needed the tech industry.
