The player customisation is far more advanced in Saints Row 2. You can easily just remake your character.

Plus the clothing system was also revamped in the second.

Yes; for $500 you can go to the plastic surgeon and change your character again (absolutely everything you could do in the initial character creation, you can change at the plastic surgeon.)
