  • what an amazing groove love song !!!

  • alot of younger cats my age wouldnt even know much about george and p-funk if it were not 4 hiphop producers like dr.dre so im thankful not only 2 george and the rest of p-funk but im also thankful 4 dre and the other hiphop producer who sample because that made me and other youngins check into this..im 24 and have been listening 2 the whole p-funk crew since i was about 12 not just because dre sampled them but because good music is timeless..much respect 2 all

  • dre has alot of respect 4 the funk and george clinton and george is getting paid from that..george has said that dre and them are one of the few that handled that properly..

  • Dr. Dres songs all his shit is sampled from george clinton. I hope george is getting royalty checks from dr dre.

  • @veeseee128 I'm sure he is

  • turn around and hit ME with da one

  • I believe George recorded Cordell & Bootsy its duble bass underneath thats a P-Funk secret from ole skool!

  • The song is so bad, you could take Gary's vocals and just the baseline and have the same feeling

  • Where would the West Coast rap game been without these cats from the East Coast /off the Atlantic Ocean=Plainfield, NJ? George Clinton the fingerwave King who put the P Funk Mob together all those years ago is still rockin!! RIP all those guys and girls who helped this music become a legendary FORCE in today's & tomorrows music

  • @mrblac77

  • This is just so funky! This is the kind of music that should be put back into regular radio rotation, it would make 90% of this crap turn to dust in mid play! Don't let me call some names! Peace!

  • one of the best songs on the album...

  • i will always love this song , i used to sing all that pfunk to my wife when it first came out when we were younger , love is never lost you just can't lose yourself in this sick world

  • Funk for Ever!

  • @marcmywrds1 I'm with you!!!

  • i had this cd and its odd how the things you prize seem to disappear when you argue with a woman

  • Garry Shider + probably Cordell Mosson on bass. Writing credits: Clinton/Shider.

  • no its Bootsy on base or Cordell Mosson

  • I THINK IT'S BOOGIE ON BASS cauise bootsy alwasys let it be known if it was him on a track or not skeet curtis had another way of letting you know if it was him all the p funk guys had ways of letting you know if they played a certain track george went through so many players it was confusing.

  • turn around back up and hit me wit it!

  • This cut is only one in millions that has made George Clinton THE FUNKMASTER of them all. EVERYONE from Prince to the Isley Brothers to Dr. Dre owe Dr. Funkenstein a MAJOR debt of gratitude for laying a foundation of funk that will NEVER, EVER be duplicated by anyone else in this life. PERIOD!! Clinton will FOREVER be the reigning king of the Funk. Looking forward to the new disc w/ the P-Funk All-Stars late 2008-early 2009.

  • ...and the whole wide world that surrooouuunddss you!!!! ....man I played this album so much in college my roomate used to HATE me! BENEDICT COLLEGE BABY!

  • you aint alone, people thought I was some kind of P-Funk freak or fanatic,....hey you know what,...I was damn it !,..and proud of it !, funkin on in Jackson, Ms ..Big C

  • that might be BOOTSY/AKA/CASPER THE FUNKADELIC HOLY GHOST...ON THE BASS

  • I remember bumpin this crusin the streets of Milwaukee!! My SHIT!!!!!!!

  • OOOOH--Funk My Soul!!

Garry Shider putting it down vocal-wise with all the clones and some of the rubberband in the background giving us that drone sound!

I don't know if this is Bootsy without the mutron or Cordell "Boogie" Mosson on bass, but they played the hell out of it!--Bernie tickling them keys and Maceo Parker playing a sexy sax solo to fade!--One of my favorites.

  • This is definately Gary on lead vocals.

  • is he sure ?

    Thank you

  • I could never figure out if it was bootsy or cordell on this one ..but I think it's more like bootsy...and by the way Pitt's its gary shieder singin on this one not Glen....ok bye

  • My first guess would be Boogie, since the bass is basically clean, but the rhythm has a Bootsy feel to it.

  • This album is special to me because it's the one LP I would always sneak away from the fam at my Grandparents house in Gary, close the front room sliding door and jam to during holiday visits growing up. It was my Uncle Tyrone's copy. He passed away before I was born, but having his records to listen to made me feel like I knew him well. I just recently upgraded to one in better condition, although I was pretty damn happy rocking his skated, skipping one for so many years.

  • fOR THE TRUE FUNKATEER

  • "Baby Baby I love you" - That hook does what it's supposed to do... hit's your heart and soul and sucks you in with the rest of the band!!!

  • @82pendragon WORD.

  • My favorite song...ever! Glenn Goins is the best singer in the world! I dedicate this song to my honey :)

  • My favorite song on The Clones of Dr. Funkenstein album.. The BAss IS Just Tight!! The Horns and the harmonies from the whole group are all perfect!
