Anarcho punk is better than pop punk. Like it or not, Against Me! has changed. Glad they're doing well, and I hate that this debate comes up, but I'd rather they'd stuck to their roots. But, as someone else said, "It's hard to sing about being an anarchist when you have state-issued currency in your pocket."

In my opinion, everything after Eternal Cowboy really sucks.

when against me! was just guitar and drum, the mic's were set up so they could look at each other, and till see the crowd...so when the others joined, they just filled in the stage.

While, I love this band, the whole thing about punk rock is about community and sharing the isolation with others. If you sign to a major label, you're joining the masses. Against Me isn't for everyone, it is very abrasive music, while emotional, still very abrasive. I would celebrate if mainstream media would get their shit together and love a band like this, unfortunatley all "alternative radio has to play is nickelback and their copies.

they still do charity/benefit shows on occasion.

Hear White Boys for Peace (their new single), regardless of how they try to escape it the demands of the corporate media they essentially signed themselves over to has messed with any material they make. The only enjoyable moments are when they play old stuff at their new shows.
