  • Jimmy is like a monkey

  • well the one thing people dont relize ..jimmy an john had to keep up with john botham i kno i didnt spell that rite .. but he will always be the best drummer ever alway......

  • and i still love it...ROCK N ROLL MYSOUL!!

  • this is what i watched when we beat up the kids playing "safety dance"...

  • haha towards the end why are all the gaurds black?

  • 7?

  • For those of you that dont know led zeppelin that well.. They played this song for 30 minutes and the only part they wrote were the first 5 minutes of dazed and confused from the album. This video is all improvised.

  • @ldsjfdslakfjdsa They always stretched out DAZED AND CONFUSED among other songs at their concerts, listen to HOW THE WEST WAS WON (my favorite version) and ROYAL ALBERT HALL. Jimmy Page said the key was hours of practice before each concert, and what happened during the concert was practice + improv + all the emotion of the moment from themselves and their audience.

  • Filmed on the rocky ledge near Boleskine manor, Aleister Crowley's old house ;)

  • Led zeppelin jams are awesome because Bonham and jones keep the groove fucking tight, while jimmy page just does crazy shit with his instruments and fusing his guitar with the wailing of Robert.

    Epic.

  • What do all those scenes mean? Those ones were they act.

  • @miss19lolo I was told that each scene was part of each ones personality and in some small way wanted everyone to see them like that. Page mysterious , Plant knight in shinig armor, Jones family man, and Bonham loving yet on the edge. But who knows? I aslo was told, that in the end as far as the scenes go,they really didnt like them.

  • @allwomn1 actually, they're the ones who approved of the footage before it was shown in theaters, but they sort of cringed when seeing themselves in that "light"..but that's the age old musicians perspective on their own performances..i.e - did i really come off that way?, do i really sound like that when i'm hammered ?. do i really look like that on camera ? did i really pretend to be a wizard ?..what the fuck was i smoking ?..lol ! i know because i've been a professional musician for 25 years!

  • @blica1 All I know is, that I wish I was that guitar! LOL!

  • OH MY GOD!!! I will take that little booty-shake at 5:22 to my grave with me! If I remember anything in my life its that! I could just eat him alive!!!

  • uh yeah, sorry for late rep- hadn't been checking lately (besides trying to figure how to answer your question about the things i'm saying that i've no idea about --kidding) oh yeah, the COTBOL is a term that you wont find anywhere because i made it all up as an anagram(?) for Circulation Of The Body Of Light -- it's the basic chackra ritual (you can read all about it from textbook) and LBRP is nothing that i made up- it stands for the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.

  • if you noticed it looks similar to when Sam frodo and Gollum are climbing up the side of the mountain near the entrance to Mount Doom in the third Lord of the Rings movie. the old man also "coincidently appears similar to gandalf the gray.

  • I love this. He's climbing around Loch Ness. This is so cool. At night w/ a full moon.

  • I love him... he makes me crazy at 5:19 ...

  • Thanks Netto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who the heck dislikes this??

  • this is just soo UNREAL!!!!!!!!

  • this was filmed 10 mins from where i live! :)

  • @davemunrothumb about ten minutes from where i live too. And so do 9 million other people. Its in New Yok Numbnuts.

  • @ssike01 actually i meant Boleskine House in Scotland near loch ness..-.-

  • i love how Robert is Mocking Jimmy N A Playful Way :DD

  • @xxmaxexstreamxx mocking? You mean imitating? there's a difference dude

  • FUCK WMG THEY KEEP TAKEING AWAY PARTS THEM FUCKERS

  • Comment removed

  • 1:05 What is Plant doing?

  • @1980Zoso whatever he wants, he's a freaking rock god. :)

  • Damn, this video cuts off pretty much right when Jimmy goes into 'Mars Bringer of War"

  • i can see youtubes idea of freedom...any comments on catholics, muslims, hindus etc are acceptable...any observations on jews not....there u go thats freedom according to youtube.

  • nothing that I’ve read of- but identified from having studied the kabbalah- this segment from the 1973 Led Zep concert flick THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME depicts Jimmy Page doing LBRP on his guitar- later on a Tarot scanning (of the HERMIT Arcana), progressing to the C.O.T.B.O.L. Ritual, + age regression initiation (which are not as much visual in the actual rituals’reality).

  • @crutchead

what is LBRP and what is C.O.T.B.O.L ritual...could you just write it little bit more simple

  • From 4;08 on Page is just mind blowing. watching him play the guitar is incredible... Thank god they did this "movie". Thanks for posting it netto3..

  • Haha Jimmy's fantasy is weird as fuck, I'm sitting here in my room at 2 in the morning in the dark with some creepy ass old man staring at me, creeped me out

  • @Dani1love lol Page was into Aleister Crowley. he was into some weird stuff.

  • wmg are homo's to take away part 1 of the greatest song ever made on earth!

  • that wierd old man is creeping me out

  • @werewolf3832 Thats Jimmy Page

  • 1:54 wow is this Kesha??

  • Did I just see Jimmy Page climb a rock ??

  • Son of a bitch, they pulled part 7 too! Where's the freedom, Youtube?!?

  • the best band of all time rythem & blues rock n roll etc....

  • Okay, I REALLY need to quit mainlining acid.

  • Is this supposed to be music or just garbled noise ?

  • @jimarilyn The sound is not good indeed, but cleans your ears and shut up, thank you ^ ^ '

  • @jimarilyn I'll take garbled noise over that garbled shit on the radio

  • can anyone tell me the name of the fucking song of 3:00

  • @LowRider1500 It's still Dazed And Confused, they just elongated it.

  • Comment removed

  • jimmy page ass shake at 5:23

  • I love Led Zeppelin but I still hate the Song remains the same. You've got John Bonham's drum solo in Moby Dick which drags on and on (and who honestly likes drum solos anyway). Then we have Dazed and Confused which meanders along for ages. Some good bits but then just a lot of crap where nothing seems to happen. Just an endurance test listening to this. I've had this album for 25 years and I hated this from the start and 25 years later it still sounds like shit.

  • @sometimeworld1 well your one of the only ones who thinks so buddy...take your negative comments elsewhere

  • @millburg1008 Mind if I don't. I'm a fan of the studio work (quite like Presence and In through the out door - not Coda though) but TSRTS is a poor representation of this band. Wheres the discipline? Where is the enjoyment in all of this? Why did the fans and the record buying public deserve this and a boring Bonzo drum solo. And Peter Grants antics and the silly fantasy sequences don't do them any favours.

  • @millburg1008 It was stuff like this that got the punks angry. BORRING as Vivian from the Young Ones would say and as much as I love classic rock I have to agree with him. If you do a long song do it interestingly or at least get a groove going and improvise. The good stuff on TSRTS doesn't balance out the arrogance and self indulgence of this project. Anyway what happened to free speech? If the emperor's ain't wearing any clothes someones gotta tell 'em and why not on Youtube.

  • @sometimeworld1 I can respect your opinion but it pains me that you don't enjoy this

  • @sometimeworld1 You're out of your mind. Song Remains the Same captures Led Zeppelin at their prime in live performance. If you honestly think time just drags watching this, you my friend are not a true Zeppelin fan or rock fan. You might be the first person I've ever heard that says this sounds like shit. 95 likes and 0 dislikes, lets be real.

  • @dt089 I am a fan (got both boxed sets and every album). But TSRTS as an album (at least the original 9 track album spread over 80+ minutes) isn't much loved. I was pleasantly surprised out how good the BBC sessions were and I've heard nothing but good reviews about How the West was won. I think these releases show that the surviving members care about their legacy. I'm not sure they were thinking that far ahead in '76.

  • @sometimeworld1 :( very cruel man

  • @sometimeworld1 Maybe you should listen closer. It's a half an hour of creative genius. Jimmy Page tries out unique and interesting sounds and it turns out beautiful. If you're expecting short and concise songs then you will be unhappy. If you're open to something sounding outside the norm of common Rock music then you should be blown away. I was!

  • @DoubleO711 Well I've had a listen to this again and with some judicious editing you could get a fairly decent 12 minute rendition here with the first 8 and a half minutes and a couple of minutes at the end. That leaves about 14 minutes that could have been saved for the other songs from the concert. I can only really judge it as a double live album and its not a particularly good one. Don't forget for those too young this was the only real document of what Led Zep sounded live for 20 years.

  • @DoubleO711 With some judicious editing you could get a fairly decent 12 minute performance here. The first 8 and a half minutes and another 3 minutes at the end. I have to judge this as a double live album and its not a particularly good one. Some cutting and they could have fitted the rest of the songs from the concert on the album and the whole thing could have been better (as a film as well). Don't forget the soundtrack was all we had of Led Zeppelin official live product for 20 years.

  • @sometimeworld1 I have to agree with the other commenters. This movie and concert were pure magic. It's as though The Force, itself, took over Page's soul that night. No other time have I heard him play that well. Esp Stairway to Heaven. How the West was Won was mediocre in comparison. Although I liked that version of The Battle of Evermore, (what an awesome song)! Lord of the Rings rules!!

  • @london2z This is one of Pages worst performances he said so himself

  • @Taygoo15 I've heard many Zepp live videos, and I still like TSRTS the best. My opinion.

  • There's a reason this video has 0 dislikes. Just sayin'

  • axl rose was very influenced by plant's vocal style..this vid confirms it

  • @gavvino1 Please, never again say Axl Rose in the same sentence as Robert Plant. Horrid.

  • aww man wheres part 7

  • 0 dislikes.....probably because this is the greatest guitar solo ever.

  • anyone else who thought he was watching frodo baggins on his way to mordor?

  • Awful

  • @johntheyank88 GET A LIFE

  • @johntheyank88 So was your mom in bed last night.

  • the groove they get in to at 5:20 is sick

  • Even with all of the progressive rock, jazz, and classical music I listen to, this version of Zeppelin's Dazed and Confused is the longest song on my iPod.

  • @3:32 "Mosh Time" !!!!!!!!!!!

  • The only band that sounds better live than studio - mindblowing.

  • @06mgibson no theres the who too

  • Jimmys fantasy sequence is very disturbing

  • what up wit da fight?

  • lol DO IT

  • Some what disturbing : /

  • Man the fantasy sequence!

  • Jeez Page and his occult stuff is freaky... SAVE ME JESUS

  • Dazed and confused...probably the greatest song ever...

  • rainbow emerging from the wizard's arm = mind blown.

  • the only problem when i see this concert is that i wanna be in this concert,or be jimmy page

  • this song has name ? , if it has please someone tell me right now

  • acid music

  • put 7 back

  • whats wmg?

  • Holy crap, who do you know that jams that guitar like that today...that good? Anyone?

  • just mindblowing, jimmy page is a genius

  • Wow. This is warped. Never seen a lead like it. Doubt I ever will again. Tears in my eyes.

  • What's that dong he was playing?

  • lol yeh he looks really asian now. he is part and it kind of dominated his older age looks. great film..

  • Little did Jimmy know he'd wind up Asian

  • @inflames2121 hahaha true

  • @inflames2121 hahaha!

  • woooooooo

  • What happened to part 7?

  • sorry man but WMG removed

  • @netto3 can you re-upload or will youtube just dis-activate your account if you do so?

  • @netto3 Damn it

  • Glad to see the Gestapo showed up to protect someones interest.

  • Even as an embryo, he looked like a guitar god.

  • @CirSam i dont think that was pagey, i think that was aleister crowley

  • Wow, Jimmy Page was freakin' insane. His fantasy sequence is epic though, especially with all the crazy violin bow shit happening simultaneously.

  • When he gets to the top there should be a little scale model of Stonehenge there.

  • Your comment just made me laugh so hard, you have no idea.

  • @marvy1118 LMFAO

  • haha this is NOT spinal tap dude!

  • Bet you the mountain climbing scene was a tribute to Crowley since he was a mountaineer.

  • that part was filmed at crowleys mansion, jimmy bought and lived there until the late 90 s

  • really cool!!!! my favorite part!!!

  • my favorite too =) is really awesome, i dont know why but is rare =p

  • thats my favorite part!!!!

  • nada!

  • neh?!

  • possible.. or not ..

    who knows ?

  • 1976: A Space Odyssey.

How about he finds some squid in a tub at the top of the cliff...Slash emerges from the water and they play dueling banjos.

    Anybody?

    Zeppelin Rulez!!!

  • Let us not forget their influences: Elvis, The Beatles, American Blues, American/British Folk, and of course classical. These fuckers are still the bad asses of Rock baby and everyone knows it!

  • I've never seen someone make it look so effortless

  • 2:30 STARCHILD!!!!!

  • oh jimmy, now that he is older he looks nothing like the old man at the top of the hill, he looks almost the same but with white, straight hair

when i first watched this movie it took me like 10 minutes to realize that it was still "dazed and confused" and that it had lasted more than 20 minutes already, i still dont believe that a song that long is so amazing, i guess it's because its led zeppelin

  • jimmy page's fantasy sequence is my favorite :)

  • lolz 8:47

  • I've only seen 2 people say something bad about Jimmy Page. Some poser commenting on a vid here on youtube, and Jack Bruce.

  • At 5:33 is the riff for "Stone Cold Bush". John Frusciante of the Chili Peppers. It's on "Mothers Milk". So Jack Bruce didn't like Page?

  • Yeah, I'd give you the link, but youtube sucks. Go to ultimate-guitar and search Jack Bruce under in News.

  • This is trippy as BALLS.

  • the only band in the world who can turn a 6 minute song to 30 minutes and let it still be amazing. Led Zeppelin

  • The Hermit.

  • I swear man he picked every note during this part hahahahahah i know it this is a hard ass part of this to play

  • Hahahahahah 2:50

  • Jimmy was the first....after that they were all just posers

  • The current Jimmy Page reminds me so much of Sulu from Star Trek....not quite so much like the famous old man from the film/album cover

  • :)

He reminds me of Ken Hom.

  • 5:28

    DO IT!

    Love that

  • amazing video and the old man

  • When I was about 17 back in 1983, I worked a restaurant Rubins as a busboy. After work on Fridays I would take three beers from the restaurant and go see the midnight showings across the street of Song Remains the Same

  • what song is it from led zeppelin that says 25. please someone tell me.

  • Watch The Song Remains the Same Part 7, Dazed and Confused

  • ..have ta say....Jimmy in his older age looks nothin like that guy at the top of the hill. ha

  • haha yea he looks more like jackie chan

  • Comment removed

  • Was Jimmy Page using anything but the Echoplex and violin bow for his solo?

  • this is so cool but i can never keep track of what song there on

  • yeah because there is like 4 parts of Dazed on this dvd, haha

  • this is the Dazed and Confused song that took up one side of a cassete tape back in the 80's.

  • cool when he climbs up the mountain and it gets all crazy

  • I'm sure most people were. I know I was.
