you shouldn't cut the wire because it's set to the right length for the amplitude of the radio system.

I'd suggest spending money on a 2.4 GHz system which will have an antenna about 4 inches long and the newer ones are even shorter. Mine just pokes out of the radio box by less than 1/2 inch

@99876654 No, he said u do this mod to stop the wire getting cut off. Otherwise you loose controll of the vehical as the ariel only works properly when it is at certain lengths.
